7 years ago I did a complementary review on this place. I had envisioned a nice new restaurant on that corner. Their food was great and the price could not be beat. When I wrote that review breakfast tacos were $1.35. Their carne guisada was the BEST I ever had anywhere. I have never found any that I care for anywhere else. They spoiled me. Well my vision of a nice new restaurant occupying that spot was blown up. Someone bought the lot and I believe purposely messed up the parking lot to where you better have a high clearance vehicle to negotiate it. Then they literally packed it with food trailers and many more types of trailers. They just swamped poor little Las Flores. They didn't stand a chance so I guess not long after Covid hit they gave it up. The poor common folk and working man lost one of the best and cheapest places around. Lost to the root of all evil. Definition of hole in the wall. No frills. Small. Basic. If not for the lit OPEN sign, you might wonder if the place was abandoned. Clearly held great promise as a great Mexican joint. First, it's BYOB. Score. With beers in tow, we perused the notable variety on the menu. Second, breakfast all day. Hell. YEAH. Only tweak for dinner: they do rice instead of potatoes. Funny. Third: 3 varieties of self-serve salsa. Tomatillo-looking salsa verde is HOT. Lighter green salsa is also hot, but not quite as much. Salsa roja (or red, for y'all Gringos) is super mild. Overly mild. They don't have a medium, unfortunately. I sort of made one with the red and light green mixed together. Pretty good. Chips were good, too. I settled on some variant of juevos Mexicanos for my breakfast dinner. It was made to order but still didn't take too long. The jalapenos in it were very mild. I wished they were a little hotter. But still very tasty. Rice and beans were good but not outstanding. My wife got the chimichanga and liked it. They have a patio but it's very small and narrow and sits right on the "main" road. But we preferred it for kiddos. Service was great and came with a big smile. The girl who took our orders, tended to all the tables, and played cashier was great. The cook came out at one point and was also great, although short on English (a good sign). Don't look too closely inside or you'll wonder if this place failed its last health inspection. All in all, good. Not great, but good. Likeable. Gritty, authentic charm. We'd go back. read more

Mediocre to ok at times, with servers who always seemed like waiting on the customers was an annoyance, but was the only place in Cedar Creek for awhile. Now however they are a rip-off. A very simple breakfast for two people was $30. I can't recommend these folks anymore. read more

Great lunch spot! Yelp didn't let me down. We sat ourselves. In a couple minutes we had menus. Our drinks and chips were brought shortly after. They have a self serve salsa bar. The salsa was the right level of medium caliente. My husband got the homemade lemonade. It was just a little sweet and quite refreshing. We shared the beef and chicken fajita plate for 2. Definitely enough food for 2. The meats were sizzling, thinly sliced, and lightly seasoned. We each got our own plate of salad, rice, and refried beans. The rice had a yummy garlic flavor. The service was good and quick. We were in and out in maybe 30 minutes. We would definitely come back. read more

TACOS!! Stopped by on a whim after picking up my son from a friend's house. Ashton said I would not be disappointed in their breakfast tacos. I was a little skeptical because I'm quite the self proclaimed taco critic queen. Nonetheless, it was not the best day to leave a bad impression on me. I was so hungry I could taste my taco from the kitchen. My first bite was heavenly. OH-M-GEE, the tortillas were homemade. They stuffed my tacos silly and most importantly, they were not stingy with their cheese. I was thanking my taco Gods for answering my prayers. Not to mention, I probably loved my son a little more that morning. I had one potato/egg/bacon/cheese & one carne guisada and cheese. I ended up ordering a third for later. Some of the best tacos I've ever had. If It wasn't 45 minutes from my home in Austin I'd be a regular. I can't wait to return and indulge in taco bliss. read more

This is great little roadside restaurant. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. The food is exactly as it should be; not fancy, just authentic and good. The guacamole was made fresh. Tacos include: al pastore, barbacoa, picadillo, carnitas, chicharon, tripas, and others. Two of us had two tacos each, split guacamole, and two Topo Chico's (mineral water): $17. Good authentic food at a great price. We went Sunday around 11 and it was very busy. The service was not great and they forgot a few elements of my boyfriend's dish but we didn't make a fuss because they seemed stressed out. The breakfast tacos were huge and tasty. My boyfriend got Huevos Rancheros and it was a huge plate of food with a super tasty sauce. Not a must-go restaurant by any means, but if you're in the area and hungry I'd still recommend. read more

We do like taking the back Roads between Manor and Bastrop, and we have passed this place by a few times...Elliott B. called it ..Hole in the wall for sure, but the reviews didnt let us down. Self service Salsa bar is cool...4 to choice from...Your basic Pico, something I would save for breakfast...Very Mild Red and 2 different style green Sauces...but I was drawn like a fly to the velvey light green...Spicy goodness at its best!!..Service was good. Warning!!!...The food comes out Uber HOT!! and stays hot thru out the whole meal...Something I will never complain about.As for the meal...Everything Hit the Spot...Wife had the Beef Chiladas with double rice. Beef had a great flavor, Sauce was great along with some great rice....I went with the Working Man Plates..2 Tamales, 2 cheese Chiladas and 2 Crunch Taco..PLUS Beans and Rice...Hours later, I still cant figure out where I put it all...Everything tasted fresh and we left happy and full. Been driving by this place for three years while my daughter is in College Station and it's always packed. We finally stopped and gave it a try. I had the beef enchiladas and husband had the beef fajita tacos. Both were delicious. I wish my daughter wasn't graduating in two months. I'm a member of the band One-Eyed Doll. We tour the country for a living and we try to find the best mom and pop restaurants to support. In our opinion Las Flores is simply the best tasting Mexican food we've had. Texas and Southern California are both known for great Mexican. And we've had a LOT of it. But Las Flores is just as delicious as it gets. Fairly cheap, especially for tacos. Amazing breakfast. Small family style humble country environment. Stopped in for lunch when I noticed a bunch of touring bicycles out front, a pretty good sign. It's a small place, but bigger than it looks on the outside. I had the burrito and the meat was good and all of the other fillings were fine, except the cheese. Nobody should be subjected to American cheese food product. If I had known that was the cheese choice I would have told them to leave it off. The best part was a selection of home made hot sauces and dips you could select from. I tried them all, very authentic and well made. My only small complaint was that the restaurant is obviously a converted 1 br house and the single bathroom is kind of by the kitchen and supplies are in there, so I was disturbed twice while washing up by someone looking for supplies. I want to go back and try the soups, the next tables smelled soooooo good. read more

Everytime I order from these retards, my order is wrong and instead if fixing the problem they make excuses. Last order: 12 breakfast tacos Inc flour except 2 on corn tortillas. Yet when I get the food I ordered there are 5 on Corn and 8 on flour. The waitress says " I repeated the order to the girl on the phone. It's her fault "... That's funny because we had you on speaker and you did read it back right you just can't get it right. Thanks for winning the bet for me that you people would screw up the order for the 4th time. On top of that they are expensive, spend you hard earned money else where. The food is greasy, service stinks, no one speaks English. Everybody I know who's ate here hates the place. read more

Best food ever! I had the hamburger and it was so tasty! My fiance and I had an amazing time here. He said it was the best salsa he ever had. And he lived his hamburger. The people were very friendly and nice! They gave me a free horchata to try! And it was so good. I been to many places that have horchata, and I had some really bad ones. But this one was so amazing! Long over do review.. good food but horrible customer service!! Waitresses have no experience. They bring you coffee no creamer, pancake no syrup and you always have to her up and ask! Also when you have a table of four you never get your food all together. You're lucky if you get within five min it's of your other family member! We stop in here fairly regularly these days for breakfast tacos after dropping my fiends son of at CCHS. The tacos are good. I need to remember to call them in, then I could literally be in and out ;) service is prompt and friendly. Coffee is very hot. In the mornings there are a group of "old ranchers" sitting they're drinking coffee and eating breakfast. One guy is super loud and annoying but the rest are friendly, even to my crazy looking self with rainbow hair lol oh and their salsa is good! Queso is on the small side though. read more

I have had nothing but trouble from this restaurant. From being overcharged to getting our food wrong and they are extremely expensive. Every time I have given them another chance there has always been another problem. This place has good food, very fresh, not from frozen. The problem is my order almost always missing something and I have to prove to them that it's listed in the menu for that dish. The service is lousy. I went in for breakfast on a weekday, sat down and waited. The 3 wait staff were at the front counter all digging thru a basket of cosmetics. I was maybe 10 feet away and I might as well have been invisible. I ended up getting up and walking out and going to one of the other of the many Mexican restaurants in the area.
