Birria quesadilla and Birria taco plate with consomé
Ali M.

I love this place! It's so close to home, I can order on DoorDash or go pick it up which makes it convenient. They have the cutest location. Very aesthetically pleasing. Vibrant colors giving it a cantina feel. Their meat is always seasoned well. I'm picky about carne asada and I love it. I get it on the sopes which are bomb btw! Today I was inspired to write a review because I'm 40 weeks pregnant and I received my DoorDash order but my extra side of rice and beans were missing so I called and spoke to Iris who was super sweet and had it delivered herself. Thank you for making this Sunday so easy for this mama. God bless you!

Not sure if the people there were the owners but they were very welcoming/friendly. We Ordered a couple of quesabirrias, 2 pambazos and an horchata as well as some sodas. Everything was made to order, super delicious, the horchata was also really good. The only thing I could say is that the quesabirrias were a little spicy even without the salsa or consome so we did have to order the kids tacos de asada instead. Will def. be back for more!

Quesabirria tacos with small consome

My fiance and I were craving quesabirria tacos and wanted to try a new place. We got quesabirria tacos and a super carne asada burrito. The tacos were ok. The burrito was not good at all the meat tasted old and half of the pieces I ate were inedible.

The best Quesabirria in town! Love the family environment and how cozy it is every time I dine!

Best quesabirria in town, extremely friendly staff and family run business! I would highly recommend this place to anybody who's craving solid Mexican food!

super wet birria burrito

We came here to try the quesabirria tacos, and they did not disappoint! crispy, cheesy, meaty! We will be coming back here again! We also tried the super birria wet burrito with red sauce and it was pretty big. It was a good take on a birria wet burrito but i think the star of the day was the quesabirria tacos. The staff were really nice and brought out chips and salsa for us while we waited for our order. The inside was also clean, spacious, and had music playing.

4 quesabirria plate with coke zero

Visited location to try their quesabirria tacos. They were very delicious. I ordered the 4 birria taco plate that came with bean and rice. The rice was nice and fluffy with good flavor, and the beans were not runny or hard as some other places I've tried. The quesabirria tacos were full of flavor, rice, cilantro, and crunchy as opposed to soft falling apart. It came with some consome to dip tacos in. My order was taken by Lupe, who made some food suggestions. She was friendly and very accommodating. I paired my meal with a coke zero that just hit the spot. If you'd like to try some quesabirria tacos l, some specialty tortas, and other unique opinions, stop by this place. Share your experiences with others as this is a new location.

two burritos wrapped in foil

Food was good. Custom service. Ambiance good. Food is a little bit expensive for Mexican food. But when you're on the go and you have no other taco place in the area I would definitely come here. I ordered a veggie burrito it was almost $14. And three tacos they're three dollars each so a total of $24.14. definitely a little bit overpriced but like I said it's good.

Carne asada Regular Burrito

I went into las fondongas on a Saturday morning because my usual menudo restaurant was closed and I was mot disappointed. We ordered the menudo, regular carne asada burrito with extra cilantro and an horchata. The customer service was excellent, food was reasonably priced and delicious. One of the ladies cooking was kind enough to give us samples of their new champurrado. We will be returning.

My boyfriend and I always DoorDash from here. We came here once at night and the food is so much better when it is fresh. I always get 3 Quesabirria tacos with consommé and my boyfriend always orders 4 Quesabirria tacos with consommé. I wanted to eat here last night and we were leaving my house at 6:54 pm but when I got in the car and looked up the restaurant, it said it was closed. They always close early. I wish they didn't. We ordered tacos today on DoorDash. I liked the music they were playing when we ate at the restaurant.

They serve birria tacos and quesabirria. I ordered two birria tacos (no cheese) and one quesabirria. It was about $13 which isn't so bad. Not open for indoor dining during COVID, but open for takeout. Very spacious and clean inside, and I like the chalk board me. The birria tacos are small. In comparison to El Petron In Pleasant Hill, these are baby tacos. But we are paying baby taco price so I'm not too mad about that. The broth is good is though.

I swooped in on a beautiful Sunday afternoon to pickup some tasty tacos. I didn't need to study the menu since I've already been blessed by the quesabirria tacos con consome. I only had to wait about 15 minutes and I was on the road-- Ran two stop signs and one red light. The thought of my glorious tacos getting cold was too much to take. I sprinted up the walkway and through front door. Moments later I was in my recliner dunking, slurping and smacking away. Such a delicious lunch!! Thank You Fodongas!! Don't change a thing. Even though the driving part was fictional, the quesabirria tacos con consume are the real deal.

Good food and service! Hidden gem we discovered on yelp. Great flavor on the meat. Chips were ok. Couldn't get a picture before he dived in.

Torta de Milanesa
Olga R.

I was craving a Torta of Milanesa, it's not common, I called several restaurants and they did not offer it (milanesa is breaded beef) and they did have it!! It was huge, tasty, torta it had the meat, melted cheese, tomatoes, avocado and green chilies & it was warm, price was a bit pricey, but I guess for the size it was alright . I believe it was 9.99 plus tip. The place is hipster, great customer service! They had my order ready within 15 minutes from the time I ordered. The only reason why I can't give them 5 stars it's because none of the employees were wearing masks, nor I saw a sanitizer, they did had a sign that customers have to wear a mask, and since technically as far as I know every time you come into contact with others you should keep your distance and wear a mask, that made me uncomfortable, because they are having contact with us when we pay and since the place it's so small all the employees are closed by breathing on your food, in a different circumstances this wouldn't be such a big deal, however as of right now that we are pretty much going through the second wave of COVID-19 and so many people are infected that made me uncomfortable.

We pulled up around 12:50, and the sign on the door said closed, while the lighted sign said open. Mixed signals right away. We literally had to call just to find out if anyone was even there. I ordered a super burrito wet, half green and half red sauce. I was told what it came with, but when I got the food, key ingredients were missing. No real sour cream, no proper pico de gallo, and barely anything that made it feel like an actual super burrito. I also ordered another super burrito and asked for ranchero meat, because that is clearly something they sell there. If you sell ranchero tacos, then obviously ranchero meat exists in your kitchen and should be an option in a burrito too. Instead, the burrito came in a box looking like they already knew it wasn't put together right. When I got home and opened it, I was honestly disappointed. The photos speak for themselves. This was not a super burrito. It was a sloppy tortilla overloaded with rice and meat, with almost nothing else inside to balance it out. No beans, barely any vegetables, no real pico, and no care in the way it was made. It looked like somebody just stuffed whatever was easiest in there and called it done. And before anyone tries to say I didn't ask for certain things, you can literally see tiny pieces of tomato in there, which shows some kind of veggie mix was supposed to be part of it. But overall, it was still mostly just rice and meat. That is not what people expect when they order a super burrito. The wet burrito was just as bad presentation-wise. It should have been smothered properly, with that melty, flavorful, put-together look. Instead, it looked rushed, sloppy, and halfway done. Even the cheese on top looked like it was thrown on without any effort. This whole meal felt like it was made with no pride. Confusing service, missing ingredients, weak execution, and burritos that looked more like a struggle meal than something worth paying for. Grateful to have food, always. But I would not come back for this. Here's a shorter, sharper Yelp version too: Pulled up around 12:50 and the sign said closed, but the open light was on. We had to call just to see if anyone was there. That should've been the first warning. Ordered a wet super burrito, half green and half red, and another super burrito with ranchero meat. What I got was a sloppy mess. The photos speak for themselves. These were not super burritos -- they were mostly rice and meat stuffed into a tortilla with missing ingredients and no care. No real pico de gallo, no beans, barely any balance, and the wet burrito looked rushed and poorly finished. The cheese on top looked thrown on, not melted and smothered the way it should be. One burrito even came in a box looking like it had already fallen apart. If you sell ranchero tacos, then ranchero should clearly be available as burrito meat too. No excuse there. The places was alone for it to be lunch hour . Not a lot of people Overall, this food looked and tasted like it was made with no pride. Grateful for the meal, but definitely not worth the money.

It was packed with flavorful, juicy meat and had the ideal ratio of beans, rice, and cheese -- every bite was balanced and satisfying. No skimpy filling here. Just a beautifully built burrito done right. The chips and guacamole were just as impressive. The chips came out hot, thin, and perfectly fresh -- that light crisp that shatters just right. The guacamole tasted bright and fresh, clearly made with care and real ingredients. We also tried the pastor torta, and wow. It was loaded with tender, well-seasoned meat, and the bread was soft, fresh, and toasted perfectly. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside -- exactly how a torta should be. Every component worked together so well. And the piña agua fresca? Super fresh and refreshing -- the perfect complement to everything we ordered. We come here often, but this time we switched it up and tried the burrito -- and it did not disappoint. This is easily one of the best taquerias in town. ***** PLEASE READ BEFORE EATING HERE *****…read more I normally do not leave Yelp reviews unless an experience is truly bad, but after today I felt people should know before spending their money here. I chose Guadalajara because I had previously tried their food truck at an event and really enjoyed the food. For Mother's Day, my 17-year-old son wanted to do something nice for me and took me there with my other kid and my mother. Unfortunately, the experience was awful from the moment we walked in. The restaurant was completely dead with barely any customers, and the woman working the front register looked irritated that we were even there. She was unfriendly, rude, rushed us while ordering, and made us feel like we were bothering her the entire time. While ordering, we noticed there were no cooks in the kitchen. After we placed our order, she told us they were "running behind" because there were no cooks available. She also got part of our order wrong, specifically the type of meat we requested. When we politely questioned it after seeing the receipt, she immediately became defensive and insisted we ordered it that way, which we absolutely did not. She eventually said she would fix it before the food came out. The problems continued after that. The bathroom had no toilet paper, there were no napkins or utensils available anywhere in the restaurant, and every time we had to ask her for something she acted irritated and inconvenienced. When my food finally arrived, it was extremely spicy. When I asked why, she claimed I had personally requested it extra spicy, which never happened. At that point it became obvious she had rushed through our order and was not listening to anything we were actually asking for. The atmosphere felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming the entire time. My mother even went to get napkins from the car because she did not want to "bother" the cashier again due to how rude she was acting. I felt terrible because my son had good intentions bringing me here for Mother's Day, and he honestly felt bad afterward for recommending the restaurant. I appreciated his thoughtfulness, but sadly this experience completely ruined what should have been a nice family meal. I will never return here, and I would never recommend this place to anyone. Whether this woman is the owner, a family member, or an employee, management needs to understand that this level of customer service drives people away. Word of mouth matters, and customer service can absolutely ruin a restaurant no matter how good the food may once have been. One star.
