I love this place! It's so close to home, I can order on DoorDash or go pick it up which makes it convenient. They have the cutest location. Very aesthetically pleasing. Vibrant colors giving it a cantina feel. Their meat is always seasoned well. I'm picky about carne asada and I love it. I get it on the sopes which are bomb btw! I was leery when I walked in because there was no customers. Yes, I understand it's not in the best area of Antioch but the food is worth eating there or take out (I did). While I was there a DoorDash order came in for Quesabirria tacos so they must be good. I wanted to try the Pambazo but I do not eat chorizo. So I opted for a shrimp burrito and it was super yummy! The rice and beans taste authentic like my mother cooked them. And while I was awaiting for my Salvadoran Horchata (they ran out & very tasty), the owner gave me a taste of the green chicken pozole they will be selling today. Delicious! Not sure if the people there were the owners but they were very welcoming/friendly. We Ordered a couple of quesabirrias, 2 pambazos and an horchata as well as some sodas. Everything was made to order, super delicious, the horchata was also really good. The only thing I could say is that the quesabirrias were a little spicy even without the salsa or consome so we did have to order the kids tacos de asada instead. I was craving a Torta of Milanesa, it's not common, I called several restaurants and they did not offer it (milanesa is breaded beef) and they did have it!! It was huge, tasty, torta it had the meat, melted cheese, tomatoes, avocado and green chilies & it was warm, price was a bit pricey, but I guess for the size it was alright . I believe it was 9.99 plus tip. The place is hipster, great customer service! They had my order ready within 15 minutes from the time I ordered. The only reason why I can't give them 5 stars it's because none of the employees were wearing masks, nor I saw a sanitizer, they did had a sign that customers have to wear a mask, and since technically as far as I know every time you come into contact with others you should keep your distance and wear a mask, that made me uncomfortable, because they are having contact with us when we pay and since the place it's so small all the employees are closed by breathing on your food, in a different circumstances this wouldn't be such a big deal, however as of right now that we are pretty much going through the second wave of COVID-19 and so many people are infected that made me uncomfortable. read more

I'm so disappointed this place is my favorite Mexican spot and I want to keep supporting local business but a torta de milanesa that i ordered for my sister the meat was old and dry and also I ordered tacos for my parents and the tortillas were cold . I just can't believe how they are lowering their quality in the food this is not right . The only thing that was good was the quesabirria with the consome. I just hope they can better there quality/ freshness because that's what I remember when they opened the food was fresh . Just ate at this place for the first time because I was craving quesabirria and my favorite (and the best) spot (OG Tacos) was closed. The quesabirria doesn't compare, but they're still good. I've been trying a lot of different places lately, and many are disappointing. These are not. OG Tacos is just that good (La Santa Torta in Oakland is probably my second favorite). Reviews that mention they're small aren't lying, but they're just under $3, so it's standard bay area taco prices. I cannot and will not complain. I knew the food was going to be good when I stepped inside and I could smell how good the place smelled. Through my mask. Their consomé is also some of the best I've had, and I'll rank it up in my top three with my two favorites that I mentioned. Most places with quesabirria have disappointing consomé, but I really loved what they had here. So good. I'll definitely come back. Not sure when because I'm not from this area (passing through to Stockton from Berkeley), but if I ever find myself out this way, I'm happy to know I've found a spot with great tasting food. I have to say, I wish I dined in! My sister and I ordered tacos for pick up and ended up eating it at home. The photo I posted of the tacos I ate didn't do justice to the taste. We ordered the birria tacos, it was perfect. The meat was very tender. Tortilla was perfectly crispy and the soup you dip it in, was very flavorful. I ordered it with everything (cilantro, onions plus cheese) with all these ingredients together, it was the best tacos I've eaten. We're always ordering burritos/tacos and every place we order from has their own twists. This restaurant is my favorite. The restaurant itself is clean and tidy. As I mentioned in the photos, it's not a HUGE restaurant but that's what make it even better, a hole in the wall type that is worth going too. I appreciate their friendly welcome as well. Thank you!
