Our waitress Angela was very attentive, answered all of our questions and kept our drinks and chips and salsa refilled without having to ask. I ordered the Burrito Zapata. It was huge! It was a 12" tortilla and it was stuffed with chicken rice and beans. It was smothered with Poblano sauce and cheese dip. It was delicious! We have been here a few times. The food is always good and we have always had good service. We noticed that it looked like they had different menus than the last time we were here. I ordered what I normally ordered, the Alambrada Steak, chicken, bacon, ham, chorizo, all grilled with onions & jalapeños in our special marinated sauce. Accompanied with rice, beans and three flour tortillas for $15.11. It was very flavorful and spicy. I did notice they used to come as a much larger serving and the serving size definitely got smaller. When we were leaving, we saw a small sign regarding a two can dine for $40 deal which I will put a picture of. That sounds like a really good deal and I think we will definitely try that next time. There is also a dining club that you can join. If you are paying cash for your bill, make sure you tell the waitress when you ask for the check as they do automatically add a surcharge assuming that you're gonna use a credit card. Still a great place to visit. We went for umpteenth time yesterday and it didn't disappoint. Chicken and beef Fajitas (no tomato, no sides) and my chick had the fried tacos. Again, still a great place, the food has been consistent. The only gripe I have, which hasn't changed from my first review, is that the prices are high. Cheese dip for $7? Really? Went there today, shortly after it opened. The service was good, frozen margarita was good, and the food was delicious! The food even comes out on a cool little robot but also the waitress comes out to give you what you ordered. Setting was good a lil Latino/mexican music playing. They also have** a bar side with a touch tunes. Would have been cool if they played some Vicente Fernandez or Eslabon Armado. That's just me though. A few issues this visit- they forgot to add the tequila to my margarita (luckily they told me/ added it about 10 min later). Took a while for the waitress to come back for our food order... once we got our food, mine was missing beans and corn (not that many ingredients in the dish to start with so pretty noticeable). Waitress did bring a dish with the ingredients, so that helped, but dish was smaller than it appeared in the pic on the menu (looked like a side salad vs a meal salad). I was then charged for an extra margarita. Considering how many AMAZING Mexican restaurants we have in a 10 min radius of Affton, I don't plan on coming back here anytime soon. Listen I love a good Mexican cuisine and margarita. But I have to share what I feel was a complete mislabeled product at an astronomical price. A Cadlillac margarita is a hand made cocktail that's consists of more than a house margarita mix, Tequila, Gran Gala, and ice. My Cadillac turned into a Plymouth. It was so sour that I added Sweetener and Sprite just to make it consumable. Still didn't work. So I thought no big deal just will never order it again. Then comes the bill (see attached). Nearly $25 for a $3 sour mix and $2 Gran Gala and whatever $2 rail tequila they threw in there. Order the draught beer and avoid the disappointment. read more

First time at this location normally visit the Florissant one and have enjoyed it for years. The restaurant is comfortable and welcoming and all the staff are extremely attentive and friendly. They have some of the best salsa around and I love it. I had the new Thrash chimichanga and it was a very large, filling chimichanga loaded with beef, beans and rice topped with lettuce, tomatoes and cheese, definitely worth trying. Husband had beef chimichanga and loved it. Definitely a must stop if you're in the area .They have a very nice bar area and offer a full drink menu too. read more

I literally don't know why this place still has customers. The service is slow. The food and drinks are not good AND everything's is wayyy too overpriced for what it is. Chips and queso were $10, INSANE. The horchata was mainly water. Simple sides that are included at every other Mexican restaurant, like beans and rice, were not included with the meals and had to be added as extra sides. Well I am impressed with the changes Las Fuentes has made. I didn't even know they had made changes and while I was a little surprised at the menu changes and price increases, the food was definitely a higher quality, I would compare to the same level as mission taco. This is a step up and was very delicious. My husband ordered enchiladas and I ordered tacos Al pastor, both delicious, and the food was delivered by robot! Cool! We both ordered margaritas and they were a generous portion and tasty. We solve going back much more often than our previous once a year. I ordered fajitas- hardly any meat and I paid extra for extra meat. Daughter ordered Bean burritos which came with no beans and they charged extra for them once pointed out their mistake. Our go to mexican places but prices have SKY ROCKETED. Can't justify paying $10 for cheese dip

Food was just o.k. Bill was more than menu price. Soft drinks were very high at $3.50 each. What was most noticeable was the lack of attentiveness of waitress, Maria. She took the order (which was delivered by "robot". Not once did she check to see if our meal was good, etc., never offered to refill drinks, did not thank us, etc. There are too many better Mexican restaurants in our area. We won't return. read more

Has gone way downhill in the last year. Prices have skyrocketed. Sign on the door says "3% discount for paying cash" but what they actually did was raise menu prices by 3%. They also run late night happy hours if you sit at the bar in addition to daily drink specials. Margaritas are tasty and they offer various flavors and sizes. Las Fuentes has the vibe of a Mexican chain like Chili's, but with more authentic cuisine. Las Fuentes still has some Tex Mex options, but they also have classic Mexican favorites such as al pastor, tacos with actual corn tortillas, and chile rellenos. Every dish we tried was great, though I liked the tacos de alambre the best. Our main complaint is that the service was quite slow. It took forever to get the bill and then to pay so we could leave. So if you're trying to stick to a schedule, I'd recommend asking for the bill before you're finished eating, so you can get out in a reasonable timeframe. Otherwise, the dinner was great! Salsa was so much tastier, lots of flavor and the appetizers shared by our group were hot, fresh and large. Appetizer prices are very reasonable. They also have daily drink specials. Today the Las Fuentas margarita was on special which is a Cadillac margarita with top shelf tequila and Grand Marnier. Umm, hello!! Yummy!! Salty rim, wedge of lime and I was in heaven. While normally we absolutely love going here, our experience this last time was absolutely awful and I'm actually very disappointed and upset. We went tonight for our sons birthday dinner, got seated and after requesting some extra time with the menu, our waitress never returned (pretty sure she forgot). After about 15 minutes of waiting, the other waitress (who actually had a large party at the time) was kind enough to stop and take our order and take over our table. We got our food and as we were eating, our son spit out a piece of his chicken strips and said he didn't like it, it was too weird. After looking at it, we realized that the chicken WAS NOT COOKED all the way. We got our waitress and explained it to her and the manager came out and asked if we wanted anything else instead and we told him we just wanted our bill credited for the chicken strips and our check. The bill was credited for our sons meal, but nothing else and he was upset bc he didn't get a special birthday treat after eating his meal there. I am SO disappointed in how this was handled. It was nice to credit my sons meal, but the entire meal should have been credited and more attention paid to the fact that my son (and husband who ate a few pieces as well) could VERY well get food poisoning from eating their undercooked chicken. It's a lot more serious then just mixing up a meal or getting it wrong. Needless to say we won't ever be back, which is incredibly unfortunate because it was one of our favorite spots to eat. read more

Went to Las Fuentes with friends. Had really good service from the wait staff from a extensive menu. I had the Arnita Burrito smothered in salsa and paired with a couple of fully-dressed Corona's in a chilled glass. The meal was pretty much average and not expensive. So disappointed!! Was here on a Sunday afternoon, not busy at all and our food left a lot to be desired...there were two of us. Both entrées lacked much sauce or cheese. They were over cooked and dry , so much so that they had to have the table salsa added to the entrée to make it edible, it was that dry. Service was excellent, prices outrageous! A Pepsi cost $ 3.25! Additionally, not only was the food so dry and over cooked it didn't contain much meat in the enchiladas nor sauce. I can do much better than this in St. Louis for Mexican food any day of the week.
