Amazing breakfast burritos. Fast and fresh. Nice little hole in the wall if in the Sylmar area.

Hesitated to write a review, because I was somewhat disappointed, only because they were to packed to sit us. While one person is just sitting in a both all to himself, watching sports and drinking his beer. This is a restaurant Not a Pub/Sports bar. We've been to Las Lomas various times before, they have good food and nice staff. Service is usually good, but I've been to other establishments were they post dine-in time frame limits. I think it would be a wise idea for the owner of Las Lomas to do the same. Not that everyone will follow it, but most do. Anyway, since the wait was to long, we left, and ended up at a restaurant further up the street. Look out Las Lomas, you have strong competition! read more

Very good carne asada fries! I asked for beans, aguacate or guacamole, grilled and onion and they made my meal to myliking. . I requested shredded cheese instead of that gross 7-11 Velveeta nacho cheese. I will return to try other menu items. read more

I have been here a few times for their menudo. But this last time I had their chile colorado, this version made with pork. Oh man, I don't care for any of the other negative posts. Yes they may be a little "dry" sort of speak. But it appear to be the immediate family working here and they work together tightly. But this with many orders, they had to be quick and consistent. I recommend calling in if you are too busy to wait. They will definitely have what you order ready in a timely fashion. Must try this place, I also hear their burritos are a must try. Thee best and most authentic Mexican food out in the valley! The salsa is a delicious and spicy pico de gallo type with restaurant style chips. I ordered a delicious plate of two cheese enchiladas with rice and beans; all the flavors were great together. Washed it all down with a michelada...so good! Will definitely be returning here soon. read more

Love this place with David and family. Are they still doing to-go orders like last week? I'm getting no answer today (Sunday) or Friday.

The food was okay not the best but the service was horrible. The waitress didn't even check on us, we had to ask for our refills, our check and also to go box. She wasn't very attentive at all. It was semi busy and we waited about 20 minutes to even get her our drinks and order each time. I will not be returning. The place was highly praised but I fail to understand why. read more

Came here one day for a late brunch, I wanted breakfast but also wanted some lunch even though it was already 1pm. The parking is pretty scarce if they ever got busy parking could be difficult. The place is also a little divey, it appears they moved into the shop next to them but from the outside it still looks like the store that was there before. The interior looks like someone started with a vision of something and then gave up half way into the project. However, I've come to learn that while décor inside and out may be wanting the food can be surprising so its worth a try sometimes. The waitresses were very nice, got us seated right away and throughout the experience were on top of things, although I think an extra stop by the table for drinks would have been appreciated. The salsa and chips they provided were nice. The salsa looked like pico di gallo but had a surprising kick to it I liked. If you're not into spicy you might want to see if they had a mild but I liked it a lot. I want to try some other things from here but this visit I got a single carne asada taco and the machaca. For the taco, I liked it, it was bigger than I thought, the meat was a little dry but still good and the tomato, guac and cheese rounded it out nicely. The machaca has some options, I ended up getting it with country potatoes which had bell peppers and beans. It hit the spot for what I was looking for. Ok so whenever I come to the Los Angeles / surrounding areas I come to this place. The carnitas are on point! I always get a carnitas hurrache, I've had some others on the menu that were amazing too .. Friendly staff clean restaurant and good food, what more can I ask for? read more

I work and live close to this place. I usually have breakfast burritos when i have not eaten breakfast. I usually get ham, egg, beans, sour cream. Is a good combination. I ask the waitress which breakfast burrito she likes and it had bacon, potato, egg, cheese and i forgot what else it was so good so when i call i ask for the same burrito. carne asana burrito is amazingly good. I get there at 8 without realizing that's their closing time and the man closing up still let me place my order to go. I wanted to try the different meats so I ordered tacos de asada, carnitas and Chicharron. 4 tacos = a little over 10.00. I thought that was insane UNTIL i actually saw the tacos. They are big. Awesome place. Really great service with Janett. She's great. We like to come for the menudo, awesome. The owners talk to their patrons, which impressed us a lot. My co workers and I love this place! Especially for their breakfast burritos and their tacos. We tried the tacos because we were wanting tacos at the time and they were closer. And we loved them! Its a good bang for your buck. Average portion sizes, and price wize its on the lower average side. The people seem friendly, service is average. But a good hole in the wall place to go. A true Mom & Pop/hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. Food is very good and the family that runs it seem to care about their service and food quality. Would recommend their wet burritos, enchiladas and street tacos. They have beer and wine margaritas available, if your interested, to accompany their delicious/very authentic food. All in all I would recommend over any of the corporate places like El Torino, Acapulco..... and, of course, Taco Bell and Del Taco Give them a try if in the north SFV area. read more
