First time here. Went with son and grandkids. They didn't bat an eye at us having a couple of potentially noisy rugrats in tow (in reality they were very well behaved). Scored points right away for being family friendly. Service was prompt and friendly enough. Drink and food orders were taken quickly and without any fuss. Went on Saturday around 1:30 pm with my teens home from college. We were seated promptly. There was a good number of tables occupied in the large dining room. When our server brought our drinks we ordered Guacamole dip, to eat with the complementary chips & salsa. That was a small portion for the price. Then we ordered our entrees: Fish tacos, Shrimp cocktail, Mixed Fajitas, Sopa de Pollo. 1 of the 3 fish tacos has only 1 small strip of fish, compared with the other 2 tacos that were more filled, so consistency was not achieved. For the Fajitas we asked for extra rice instead of sour cream & beans. No big issues with any of the orders. This chain does not have a location near our home (this one was 30 min away) so we won't likely be back unless we're in the area for another reason. read more

The Chimi's in Overland is SO much better. I took my son to the Lindbergh location for his birthday, and I will probably never go back. The food was mediocre, at best, our server acted like he was overwhelmed by his two tables, and they didn't seem interested in ~having customers,~ which seemed kind of odd. I ordered a take out & when I got there, the register guy was watching TV while I am standing there until one of the waitresses hollered at him to check me out. I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Chimi's Fresh Mex on Hwy 67 in St. Louis, which left me underwhelmed and dissatisfied with their service. From the long wait for takeout to the lack of customer prioritization and apparent irritation with the ordering process, it was clear that their service fell far below expectations. First and foremost, the wait for my takeout order was unreasonably long. I understand restaurants can get busy, but the lack of efficiency and organization was evident. Despite placing my order well in advance, I found myself waiting for an extended period, which was inconvenient. It seemed the staff was overwhelmed and unable to handle the influx of customers. I observed people who approached the counter to pay well after I arrived to complete their transactions successfully; meanwhile, I waited. Employees continued to seat guests who came, also after I had waited a significant amount of time. The environment was chaotic, poorly managed, and disorganized atmosphere. It was evident there was no order to how guests were prioritized. This lack of attentiveness and disregard for customer satisfaction was disheartening and left a lasting negative impression. Additionally, the attitude displayed by Marlon was unprofessional. He curtly commented he didn't work the front; however, he willingly helped a customer to pay for her meal while I continued to wait. Instead of providing a friendly and helpful service, two Marlon and another employee appeared irritated and impatient when asked if my order was ready. It felt as though my questions and requests were an inconvenience to them, which made me feel unwelcome and undervalued as a customer. Even more disturbing was when the employee asked if I had a name! It's not a customer-focused question, as every person has a name. It was such a demeaning comment. As it turned out, my meal had long been sitting on the counter. It would have been easier for an employer to check me out ahead of other guests. A pleasant and accommodating attitude is crucial in the service industry, and unfortunately, Chimi's Fresh Mex failed to deliver in this aspect. Overall, my experience at Chimi's Fresh Mex was highly disappointing. The long wait for takeout, failure to prioritize customers, and the apparent irritation displayed by the staff during the ordering process left me feeling dissatisfied. Unfortunately, a restaurant with potential for success falls short of providing quality service for all customers. I hope that Chimi's Fresh Mex takes these criticisms constructively and works towards improving their service to ensure a more positive experience for their customers in the future. I'm a big fan of Chimi's for so many reasons. Because of this new location close to home we have quickly become regulars. This is an excellent place for birthdays, I have witnessed several birthday celebrations, including my own. The dessert was different for each one, but they all included a larger than life sombrero and singing. I also like Chimi's for their fast service, keeping my drink full and a good variety of different stuff on their menu. My wife likes the place so, of course, we would visit there. I didn't care for the place that much, previously. When ordering a Cadillac margarita it just seemed as though they simply added more tequila; that's not a good Cadillac margarita. It just tasted of cheap mix with a lot of cheap tequila. However, since they've reopened after the flooding things have changed for the BETTER. Their salsa is MUCH better. The food is slightly better. Haven't had the guac since the change but I'm looking forward to trying it out my next visit which I hope will be soon. The Cadillac margaritas are spot on and very tasty. I will definitely return many more times; that's a HUGE change. Bad tasting margaritas is a deal-breaker so I'm glad they've altered their previous recipe. I enjoyed a late lunch at Chimi's Fresh-Mex in Florissant today. The servers are pleasant and attentive and keep an eye on your needs without being intrusive. I ordered the appetizer sized guacamole dip with is more than enough for two. For my entree, I had the fish tacos (3). Flour tortillas stuffed with fish filets, lettuce, and cheese. They had plenty of fish in each taco and a great flavor. A side of sour cream and guacamole are included on the plate. Chimi's has an extensive menu with many choices. They have lunch and kids selections. Something for everyone! I will return for another meal. I would recommend that you try this restaurant. They have six St. Louis area locations. read more

I try so hard not to get into franchise restaurants but they are everywhere and they are getting better. The competition is heating up. They changed their menus here, and they charge just a tad bit more than they use to, especially now where you use to get all the flour soft taco shells you wanted with you fajita well now, you pay $1.50 for an extra 3 of those, and a few other little things that were free, now they charge you for. However, nonetheless, the food is still good and you will still have a great time eating here. The service is good as well, I can't complain. I love everything they serve just about and they have the best nacho chips and salsa to me than any of the Mexican restaurants in Granite City, IL and a few places here in St. Louis are beat as well. The food servings are still a nice size. The only thing that has changed again, is the prices. The restaurant is kept clean and have friendly staff. they have a shared parking lot with ample parking spaces, so you never have to worry there. The drinks are decent and you can get a monster margarita here that will serve 4 people or if you are like me, I can drink the whole thing if we take our time. I am sure if you have a large party they will take a reservation to accommodate your party. Chimi's has a fun loving atmosphere and great food I love the chimichanga's the are my favorite and they have a vegetarian section on the menu so my sister can order which I like, a lot of restaurants don't have that.
