This was my first time visiting this particular Las Pupusas location-- mainly because I just moved right across from them two weeks ago and was craving pupusas. The food did not disappoint. The pupusas were fresh, delicious and exactly what I needed. The place was clean and the staff who greeted me, seated me and brought out my food were super friendly and helpful. I really appreciated how welcoming they were! Unfortunately, that good energy took a dip at the end. When I went up to pay, the girl at the cashier confirmed my order and said "4 pupusas and one Coke." I told her I just had water. She asked me again. And then again. Like-- why would I lie about a drink? She gave me a look that made it feel like I was trying to get away with something, which was honestly uncomfortable and unnecessary. I didn't catch her name but I'll remember the face-- and I'll be avoiding her the next time I come in for a pupusa craving. Mistakes happen but that attitude killed the vibe. Some were cheese and some were literally just the dough. I called and spoke to Glenda . She said that's how they make pupusas. I said this was not what I paid for . Not sure why this place does not have better reviews on Yelp. I came here for dinner with my family yesterday and we had a wonderful experience. The food is made fresh to order nothing is premade. The pupusas were literally amazing and the best we have ever had. I tried the "Revueltas" and "Calabaza" and they were very filling and generous with the size. Service was also superb our waitress was very attentive kind and accommodating. Also the food was being prepared fresh and it still came out super quickly. I am from California and my family and I agreed we would take a few of their pupusas to freeze and enjoy back home. We also loved the aguas frescas we tried one of each ensalada was refreshing and tropical (mainly pineapple flavors) Tamarind was not too sweet very refreshing and tangy. And Horchata is Barley water not to be confused with Mexican horchata which is rice based. Very good and toasted flavor. 5/5 would recommend and come back. read more

Las Pupusas is a casual Salvadorian Restaurant that offers breakfast, Salvadorian foods and some Mexican Foods. This is not a fancy place. Mostly soft beverages are served but I did notice some bottled beers on the menu. We ordered at the counter and sat ourselves but I noticed that they do have wait service. The food that we tried was all reasonably good. Portions were large and prices were low. We tried the Salpicon (cold ground rib eye salad), fried tilapia, spinach and cheese pupusa, and cheese and herbs pupusa. We thought the spinach and cheese pupusa was delicious and better than the herb pupusa because the herb one lacked herbs but was still tasty. The slaw that comes with the pupusas was spicier than what I've tried from other Salvadorian restaurants. Their spin on the Salvadorian cold beef salad was tasty and refreshing. The fried tilapia was slightly over cooked but still good with shattering crisp skin. We also enjoyed the hand made tortillas that came with our meals they were also delicious. Yelp needs to fix the rating for this restaurant. The food really was reasonably good, portions were large and prices were low. Service was ok. We were even checked on by staff. read more

It was expensive for what it was and there was 4 people in the back talking in their language, meanwhile, 5 minutes later they started on my order... I've never seen that before, its not like they were on break, they just didn't feel like making my order. A little over 10 minutes after they started, they brought out my papusas and you would think if it was called papusas that that is their thing, what they were good at. I've been wanting to come here and try a pupusa, so I finally mustered up the courage to do it today. Let me tell you- it was worth it!! My mother in law is Colombian and she makes arepas so I'm familiar with those and I heard that a pupusa is similar to an arepa in that it's made with masa, but also like a quesadilla- because the cheese and meat is in the middle- an arepa has the meat and cheese mixed in with the masa. I ordered the pork and cheese pupusa, and I also got a chicken tamale. The tamale was so juicy and the pupusa came with a cabbage slaw and a sauce. All items were delicious and the service was great. Once by myself, and another time with my Mexican husband. im a handicap Filipina, which is not their normal demographic, but growing up in LA and in the IE, I'm no stranger to trying other cultures foods. The first time I did get some weird looks by staff and people eating inside, but they weren't rude or overly friendly. Just normal service. The second time my husband went in and he said they were welcoming, asked him if he needed assistance, and when he asked for extra sauce and cabbage, they had no problem giving him extra. Took about 15 minutes to get our 4 pupusas. These are the best pupusas I've had here in Vegas. Nice and crispy, and good filling. It was a bit oily due to the melted cheese, but I'll definitely come back to enjoy this at least a month. Will update one day when we decide to eat inside. read more

This pupusas spot is good! Every time I am in this part of town , I stop here to pick up some food. The pupusas here are very filling and tasteful. Service is great as far as pick up/ take out goes. i have been clients of this place for over 12 years. Never have once have been add it tips in my bill i paid 12$ on tips today for famiy of 5 a 1 year baby was add it to my table. it is insane how servers demands tips, tips should be whatever the customer wants to leave you not mandatory servers already have a pay. On top of that when i paid card she still ask do you want to leave the tips on the card knowing there was already and 18% tips added to my bills.
