Great little hole in the wall spot in a somewhat sketchy part of town. They have parking next door in a motel lot. Came in with a coworker at lunchtime on a weekday. There was ample seating with tables of varying sizes, including bar top seating. Our server did speak English so our server didn't have to witness my broken attempts at Spanish, phew! She was very pleasant and provided prompt service. Menu had a lot of options but most importantly it had a ton of pupusa options!!! Of course, I went with the revuelta/mixed. I ordered two which was plenty of food--I didn't even have room in my stomach to eat the side of beans I ordered. The food was hot and fresh. Here's another great local find. It's away from the strip, but i'm looking to explore. I sat at the counter in the back. It's an open floor plan with plenty of seating. It's air conditioned! It's like over 100 degrees out. I can watch the pupusas being made while sipping iced water. I started enjoying my revuelta right away by putting cabbage and tomato sauce on top. So good. The place was slammed when we visited, the environment was a little loud at first then slowly quiet down as food started to arrive in tables! At the countertop bar area; I was able to see all the dishes being made and delivered to people. The plates looked utterly delicious, my mouth was watering waiting for my pupusa's! We ordered 2 pork, bean & cheese pupusa's, 2 jalopeno & cheese, 2 cheese & 1 chicken pupusa and they were all delicious! Made super fresh, abuela's in the kitchen cooking so you know it's homemade fresh food! Outstanding service for only 1 waitress on the floor. She took good care of everyone within a timely manor! Worse customer service I was looking around for Salvadoran restaurant and this one caught my attention with the great comments but let me just say I would never go again because of their customer service. I arrived there at 5:25PM I went to ask if it was open the lady said it was. She never said it was closing soon. So I went back out to get my sleeping baby out of the car into his stroller. I took about 5 minutes when I went back inside the lady said now we are close. I asked her why she didn't say anything that they were closing soon and she reply with I didn't ask what time it was close , I asked if it was open and it was open 5 minutes ago. It's always quite familial coming in here. We've been coming for years and it always feels like I'm being attended to by a kind and warm tía of mine. The restaurant is kept relatively clean inside. Exteriorly, they had started some work a couple years back to spruce it up, but it looks unfinished. The food is always simply good and satisfying. Like I said, it has a homey vibe, but it's nothing exquisite. The prices are also a little steep considering it's a neighborhood hole-in-the-wall. That's the only thing that's off-putting. The restroom, to my knowledge, still requires a key and is outdoors (on the side of the restaurant) so I always try to avoid going here. I don't know if they're clean. Highlights: Overall, I give this restaurant a lot of props; being in dead (literally) middle of Main St. and still remaining unfazed and in business. The pupusas are also awesome here! read more
