Waiting on my Husband's business meeting and decided I had a craving for Mexican food. What kind of food will this next-to-truck stop backend road give me? I have to admit it pulling into the parking lot was daunting and I almost drove away. However, the servers were very kind to me, the micheladas are incredible and the chilaquiles were still crispy (Tell tale sign you know what you're doing). Cute diner/locals vibe inside. Almost no wait for my food, and it was fire. Do not hesitate to try this place if you're in the area!

Great afther work bar with lots of specials even free shrimp tostadas on Friday best bartenders in Fresno it's my slice of heaven !

Great Salsa. Chile Relleno was also excellent. Quick and friendly service. Bonus...reasonably priced.

Delicious authentic mexican food at a decent price. This would be my everyday lunch spot if I could have it that way. :)

Hands down, out of all of the samosas I have enjoyed, both from restaurants and homemade, the veggie samosas I devoured from MK's International Kitchen's are in my top five fav samosas and the dipping sauce is perfection. Now on to the bolitas de Yucca. I had to stop myself from eating all of the scrumptious bolitas de Yuca in one sitting because these were THAT flavorful and crispy. For the Coconut Quinoa Rice with Chipotle Coconut Steak, my friend's reaction after her first helping sums it all up--"Wow!" Marie Kay went above and beyond to demonstrate quality customer service, especially when it came to my food allergies. She even went as far as double checking the specific ingredients I'm allergic to before preparing and cooking my orders. Sunday BUTTA Brunch is an absolute must do experience!…read more We came with reservations for a Sunday brunch. Note there is a reservation fee per table and it is non refundable. We were sat immediately and the waiter was pretty quick to get our first round. We put in our order pretty quickly and it came in a decent amount of time. I would warn that the more packed the establishment is the longer the wait time for things like your drinks and food. The space is a good size, there's 2 sides on the right there's booths along both sides and tables in the middle and more seating to the left. The DJ is on the right side in the corner. Be aware if you come for brunch to use your outdoor voice because between the volume of the music, people singing, and others around you it is loud. This is a classic turn up brunch not a quiet one so plan accordingly. We only ended up being able to have 2 cocktails because it took so long for the waiter to make it back to us to order & to get our drinks to us. For drinks we had the green tea shot, ciroc & juice, and an espresso martini. Drinks were pretty good and well made. For food had the BUTTA breakfast with a side of toast, hot link breakfast scramble, and side of biscuits and gravy. The food is where they lost a star for me. It came out lukewarm, it was hard to get condiments and the wait was very long since the wait staff is trying to balance both drinks & food for everyone. Having a little container with sauces already in it given to the table would alleviate the wait and strain on wait staff to give people condiments. My food was cold by the time I got the condiments I requested. The vibe is where this establishment really shines! The dj was great the wait staff were friendly and some even danced with patrons and joined in on singing making it feel like a family vibe. I love that something like this is in the valley to help bring people together. By the end of the brunch everyone was on the dance floor singing and dancing together. I'll definitely return and probably stick with drinks.

I was looking at the menu and noticed they offer half orders and full portions. Honestly, when I looked at the prices, there was only about a $2 difference, so we decided to get the full portion because you get a lot more food for just a little extra. We sat at the bar and had a drink while we waited for our food. The bartender was super friendly and made it a fun place to be! Our food also came out pretty quickly, which was a plus. Both the calamari and chicken nachos were really good! The chicken nachos were probably my favorite. The chicken had a lot of flavor, and I liked that they came with salsa as well. Everything was really tasty and made for the perfect appetizers while having drinks. Honestly, Livingstones is one of those places we like to stop by when we're in the Tower District, even if we're just there to have a drink and hang out. A lot of people have told us that we need to come back and try their dinner menu. I haven't had dinner here yet, but I've heard nothing but good things about their food, and after trying their calamari and chicken nachos, I can see why people recommend it. Overall, this is a great place to get drinks, hang out with friends, or enjoy some appetizers. If you don't want to sit at the bar area, they also have a separate area where you can sit down and enjoy a nice dinner with friends or even go on a date. Livingstones is definitely a fun spot in the Tower District, and I'll continue coming back!

However, it is definitely worth it! For a while now I have been wanting to try this place and finally for around to it. The staff was great very kind and friendly as soon as we walked in. Our waitress was amazing, she was always checking up on us, making sure we had everything we needed it and that we were comfortable. I ordered the Fried Chicken Biscuit with Tater tots and for my drink I ordered the OG Lemonade. Starting with the sandwich, the chicken was nice and juicy, very crunchy as well. The flavor of the chicken was very good as well. The buscuit added that nice hint of sweetness that just tied the whole thing together. The tater tots were definitely crunchy, which I loved. They give you a very well serving of tater tots. I did not end up finishing mine, but they had great taste and texture. The lemonade was very refreshing, and it just hit that spot so well. It was appealing to the eye and tasted like freshly squeezed lemonade. Overall experience was 10/10, I would come back. The place gives off vintage coffee shop vibes even though it is not a coffee shop. Seating is definitely very limited inside. However, they do have outdoor tables with umbrellas which is a nice touch. Price-wise I would say it is a bit pricier compared to other similar restaurants I have visited. The total came out to $45 for two plates of the chicken biscuit and two lemonades.

Luckily, I heard tremendous things leading up to my visit, so I finally made an effort to try it for myself. Let me just start out by saying: This is as good as soul food gets. There's a reason Joe Rogan shouted this spot out on his podcast several years ago. My group was immediately greeted by Chef Paul himself upon our arrival. He sat us down and got our drinks going right away. Another lady then took our orders. They had a Lamb Shank special going, so I decided to snag their last one of the day. We did wait a little while for the food, but it was well worth it. You can tell they put a lot of effort into bringing out fresh and flavorful plates for their customers! The Lamb came out glazed in thick, flavorful sauce and topped with parsley and onion. It was phenomenal. I didn't realize one could make Lamb taste THAT good. It was super flavorful and moist, and I wish they could keep it as a staple on their menu. My sides were Braised Cabbage, Chili Beans, and Cornbread. They all tasted great, but the Chili Beans really stood out for me. I love how they had a little kick that really upped the flavor profile. My grandma got the Fried Chicken with Potato Salad, Collard Greens, and Cornbread while my brother went with another special of the day: Turkey Wings and Cornbread Stuffing with Gravy and Mac & Cheese on the side. There were ZERO complaints among us. Every single one of our orders were exceptional. Chef Paul was attentive to every table in the restaurant, and he was constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything. I can now see why this restaurant gets so much praise. Chef Paul does it right! Thank you for such a delightful meal.

In a word, delicious. The Mac N Cheese is baked & hot & tasty. My wife really liked the Collards & enjoyed her chicken thighs. Servers are very attentive. This place is really small & the ambiance is Dayton, OH funk (think Roger & Lakeside) which made this former Gem City resident happy. They only have a few tables so most of their business seems to be take out. Everything is cooled to order so there is a wait, but it is well worth it. I will be back to try the catfish. 5-stars
