Lety's!!!!!! How did I let myself drive past this place so for so many years???? Carnitas???? Delicious!!! Birria, amazing!!!!!!! Menudo, to die for! Service was awesome! Our server was super helpful and kind even though we showed up at 830, and they were closing at 9, due to an error on here saying they close at 10. Inside seems like a fun atmosphere when packed, but as I mentioned we were there close to closing. We WILL be making this a regular spot!

    Tamarindo slushie on the mug

Cute spot, ample space and the food IS AUTHENTIC!! Fresno has a lot of good little Mexican spots and this one is definitely one of those! I ordered an agua de Tamarindo (they said it's made fresh--no powders) their torta milanesa and I wasn't ready for how PERFECT everything was. For starters, the agua wasn't overly sweet and they served it in a beer mug...girrrrl, they must keep the drinks in the freezer because my agua had the tiniest bit of slush and OMG...it turned my day around. Tamarindo slushy! The torta was bigger than I expected, perfectly toasted and the fixings were just perffff!! Soft crunch. This is a little foodie jackpot. Their chips and salsa were also pretty yum! We'll definitely be coming back!

    Breakfast burrito, chips and salsa

Lety's is a Fresno classic! I swear the breakfast burritos must weigh 35 lbs, and they're the best in town! Just one burrito, and I'm full for 2 days, no joke. And they're sooooo delicious! And the staff is so amazing and friendly. And I love the expansion into next door. Highly recommend Lety's for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Also, best salsa in town, I promise!

I can tell Lety's will quickly become my new Go-To Mexican restaurant in town. Centrally located, spacious parking, large dining area, great food & drinks, friendly service, homemade tortillas & salsa made right at the front, and karaoke on Fridays!!! Lety's is the complete package. Came here based on a friend's recommendation and now we are family. Will be coming back for the food and entertainment.

    Chile verde

We were actually headed to the Lety's @ Ashlan & West to get some mole, but the hubby thought we better call to make sure they had it. Sure enough, they were out, so off we go to the Clinton location. Hubby ordered his mole, which was flavorful, albeit a bit watery. The inside of the drumstick was oddly cold. I had the chile verde, which had tender chunks of pork and another watery sauce. It wasn't bad, but I've had better. This location serves premade corn tortillas whereas the Ashlan location serves handmade corn tortillas. We were able to buy some mole paste to take home and make. Mine won't be so watery

Never heard of this place but were listed on a gift card so decided to try it. Not disappointed; you get a LOT of food on huge plates. We needed take home boxes (love when we get a bonus lunch). Food was very good, but nothing stood out as exceptional. Nice presentation and freshness. Second bowl of chips for no upcharge (thank you! Take a clue other places). We had rellenos, enchilada (shredded beef was very flavorful), chicken tamale, and I think my son had carnitas. All very good. Service was attentive and friendly. We came when they weren't too busy so was relatively quiet. Plan to be back and try other dishes.

It's not the $10 folks, it's the nickel-and-diming. Ranch? 50¢. Reservation? There's a fee. Birthday cupcakes after dropping $450? Another $10. What else is on the secret menu? Extra napkin, 75¢? Another lemon in my tea--do I need financing? Second straw--hard credit pull? We've enjoyed Colton's food, but we'll be taking a break due to their nickel and diming policies. There are too many good restaurants around town that value their customers to spend $450 and still get shaken down for cupcake money and ranch fees!!

Yes it's soup but beyond that the experience in the presentation is completely different. It was a little quieter and more laid-back it felt a little bit more upper class. I feel like I would have to come here two or three times to fully find what my favorite things are. I tried the spicy miso broth. But if I come back, I'll get something different and I'll probably have to try a few before I end up finding my exact favorite. The experience here was more about timing and what you're cooking instead of making a soup with everything in it and then eating it. I would have to say that everything that I had was good. Not really big on tofu and their money bags tasted OK a little bit sweet in the end. The corn was really sweet to me. I like both of the mushroom types that they had their my wife only liked one of the two. My broth came out amazing. I added cilantro, green onion, and their hoisin sauce along with some lime. We also got Ramen noodle. It didn't seem like it was gonna be a lot of food. I felt like we were gonna be hungry by the time we got done eating everything. But it turned out in the end we were both full and not needing anymore. I would say this is a little bit more expensive than JPot. But I think this would be a nicer place to bring a date to overall experiences and presentation is better. I would say the service here was really good. We were well taken care of. I always say that you should make reservations if you're gonna come. We walked in when it didn't look like it was full or busy, but we still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. At least there's a little bit to walk around and do around here so you have other shops and places to see if you have to wait. Overall, I would give this a five star review. But my honest opinion is I would rather eat at JPot. But I might only be saying that because I have my favorites over there and I didn't leave here creating a favorite in my mind. I left here thinking next time I come back. I'm gonna try different stuff. Again everything is good

Luckily, I heard tremendous things leading up to my visit, so I finally made an effort to try it for myself. Let me just start out by saying: This is as good as soul food gets. There's a reason Joe Rogan shouted this spot out on his podcast several years ago. My group was immediately greeted by Chef Paul himself upon our arrival. He sat us down and got our drinks going right away. Another lady then took our orders. They had a Lamb Shank special going, so I decided to snag their last one of the day. We did wait a little while for the food, but it was well worth it. You can tell they put a lot of effort into bringing out fresh and flavorful plates for their customers! The Lamb came out glazed in thick, flavorful sauce and topped with parsley and onion. It was phenomenal. I didn't realize one could make Lamb taste THAT good. It was super flavorful and moist, and I wish they could keep it as a staple on their menu. My sides were Braised Cabbage, Chili Beans, and Cornbread. They all tasted great, but the Chili Beans really stood out for me. I love how they had a little kick that really upped the flavor profile. My grandma got the Fried Chicken with Potato Salad, Collard Greens, and Cornbread while my brother went with another special of the day: Turkey Wings and Cornbread Stuffing with Gravy and Mac & Cheese on the side. There were ZERO complaints among us. Every single one of our orders were exceptional. Chef Paul was attentive to every table in the restaurant, and he was constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything. I can now see why this restaurant gets so much praise. Chef Paul does it right! Thank you for such a delightful meal.
