Randomly hungry on a Sunday night after messing up my eating schedule and so happy that Las Tejitas was open for delivery. I didn't know what I was craving initially but once I saw birria tacos on the menu, I knew what I wanted. Ordering via UberEats was super easy and the menu wasn't crazy extensive or expensive, although birria is always going to cost a bit more. Once I ordered, my food was quickly prepped (via the app notifications) and delivered about 30min later. It even arrived hot! Delivery orders can sometimes lack in the presentation department, but not this one. My order came with 3 tacos, 2 sides of sauces (a smoky chipotle salsa and a verde sauce), a bunch of sliced radishes and a cup of consome. The tacos were packed with beef and toppings, and they smelled delicious. I really enjoyed them! The green salsa turned out to be my favorite and because I always love some spice, I added some hot sauce to the consome and it made it even better. All in all, a totally worthwhile wait and online order!

I asked for Tap Water this time and they were more than willing...could be dependent on the severer... Back again this week and the three girls working the counter were adament that they would not serve tap water...sad when I order $54.03 worth of food and the servers won't even provide what is normal at most restaurants...probably my last time here given the inconsistency in service and attitude.

I was craving Birria tacos and consommé for a couple weeks and this spot really delivered (physically and metaphorically). Food came in the expected amount of time, if not earlier: The combination of the Birria, consommé, and the hot salsa side was sooo good, that I still lowkey dream about it months after. And the mango lemonade was refreshing, especially on a super hot day. Nowwww, I had to leave a start off because despite our request to get utensils, we didn't get any :( Minor disappointment, but that's okay. Food is still fire, and absolutely worth the order.

OH EM GEE - try the hot Cheetos burrito - incredible! This was our first visit and it did not disappoint. This is a small location in Smyrna and even though they have some indoor seating, we opted to order and take the meals home. They had quite a few tables inside but it was pretty busy during lunchtime and my family of 4 felt more comfortable eating at home. They also had 2 small tables outside. Small and very busy parking lot - tons of people came through to pick up orders so plenty of cars were coming in and out of the parking spaces. Wonderful customer service! A young man greeted us and happily took our order. He even repeated the entire order back to us to ensure everything was correct (much appreciated). Bilingual service available, too (Spanish). They had a glass case full of desserts and cold sodas available. We also tried: Esquites with fresh squeezed lime. Wow. Chef's kiss! So much flavor. And we only ordered the "regular" because I believe they also have a hot Cheetos version. Horchata was ok, but I would like to try their other drink offerings next time. Aguas frescas and more. Chicken quesadilla was good! Very flavorful. It came with rice and beans - the rice was so good! Asada (steak) tacos were good and nicely packed, came with tons of cilantro and onion, lime and even radish on the side. Only $3 each which isn't bad. I didn't see a fish taco on the menu but they do offer shrimp, chicken, and more. You guys have to try the hot Cheetos burrito. Omg. Super filled, perfect amount of spice (my 7 year old even had some of it and loved it). We tried it with steak - soooo gooooood! They're very active on their Instagram page so you'll get to see plenty of their new menu items as they come available and keep up with their business. We had a great experience and the food was delicious! We WILL be back. The only "downside" is that I wish this was a larger restaurant with more tables and seating. But my family and I loved the food and will absolutely be ordering takeout from here whenever in the mood for tacos. (And we live 20 minutes away, lol!)

I've ordered from here several times now & I've yet to be disappointed! I usually get there 5 birria tacos that come with the consomé. They're always fresh & taste great, the price is good too compared to other places that sell birria tacos around the area. Tried the esquite for the first time & the corn was so sweet & good! The people are always nice. I will say, this is more of a to-go order place. It's a very small place with 4 tables inside & a couple tables outside. It's very clean & nice though. Parking is also limited but with people coming in & out constantly to pick up food, spots open up if you wait a bit.

Birria Ramen witha side of grilled onions is the best thing I've had in a long time!

Birria Ramen with grilled onions.. absolutely incredible!!! So nice to see something different on a menu instead of the same old stuff

Plus, it was Friday afternoon/evening and families were showing up as well. The service was good despite our server getting some things a couple of times. Yet overall, I have no complaints about our service or server. Our food was good and I was shocked to see how much food each person got on their plates. I ordered one of the combination platters which consisted of Spanish rice, refried beans, lettuce/tomatoes, a side of pico, and a chicken taco. I also ordered guacamole as an appetizer and they actually make it in front of you at the table. It was delicious! It was all delicious! My mom enjoyed her chicken taco salad. And not to mention, yes, they give complimentary chips and salsa. The bathrooms were clean yet had water in the soap bottle since it was low/out. And the ONLY thing I didn't like was the tap water. Yes, I know it's tap yet this tap tasted like boiled Chattahoochee River water. The lemon jazzed it up. I'd eat here again and overall I'll rate this place 7/10.

The atmosphere is lively, colorful, and full of personality. It feels like the kind of neighborhood spot people keep coming back to, and judging by how busy it usually is, that's exactly what happens. The food is consistently good, portions are generous, and a cold Modelo goes perfectly with the meal. It can definitely get crowded, so I'd go expecting a wait during peak times. But to me, that's part of the charm. Places don't stay this busy for this long unless they're doing something right. Great food, fun atmosphere, and easily one of the better Mexican spots in this or any part of Atlanta.

My only complaint is that when you order takeout in person, they add a 15% takeout fee. I think that's excessive because we're not dining in, being seated, or interacting with a server--we're simply placing an order, picking it up, and taking it home. I don't really see what additional cost justifies that fee. The food is great, but the takeout fee makes ordering from here less appealing. Ambience is good.

Chips are not free like you may get at other places (which was fine). We ordered the dip trio (guac, queso, & salsa). They were great but not enough chips for all the dips so our salsa went pretty much untouched because we ran out, which is a shame, because the salsa tasted homemade and was delicious. We ordered el pastor, asada & quesibirra tacos. My favorite of the three was the pastor tacos, but all were good. I wish there were at least one lime wedge per taco. There's booths and tables and I like that the tables aren't too close to each other. There's cute decor, just a nice vibe overall. It wasn't too busy for a Friday evening which was nice since we had our kids with us. The waiter was pleasant and checked on us occasionally, without being over bearing. We started with a trio of dips with chips- guacamole, queso, and salsa instead of the bean dip. All of them were good with the queso being so-so for me. The salsa is nice and smoky. One kid had a kids meal with two shredded beef tacos and fries. I'm glad they served the onions and cilantro on the side for him. Hubby has the queso birria plate and raved about how good it was. I enjoyed by pollo asado plate. I only wish they had a salsa bar with the pickled veggies, etc. The menu is extensive so I can't wait to try something else. Prices are a little higher than other Mexican places, but they make a lot of homemade items and you can tell the difference.
