Today I visited this restaurant for the second time. The first time I ordered a club sandwich and…read morewas quite disappointed with the lack of flavor but also the bread. I decided to try this place again today bc I was craving a Philly cheesesteak and this was the only place I could get it from that my scooter would get to. When I arrived I asked the guy which is better...meatball or Philly? He said the meatball sub was more popular but also said "I have to precook the onions and green peppers everyday. I didn't respond immediately bc I was trying to sort out which sub to get now that I know I can't have a fresh Philly. Ended up with a meatball sub and I ate it all mainly bc I was super hungry. Yet I was disappointed in my second purchase. It looks like a lot of items are precooked and then needs to be put into the microwave I ended up disassembling my sandwich, removed A LOT of soggy bread (the juice from the meatballs had caused soggy bread in the amount of time that I paid and was handed my sandwich to sit down at a booth and eat). That's less than 3 minutes. I had to add a napkin to my food in order to soak up the watery mess. Idk maybe I expect too much...but I don't believe I will return. I went for a second time after reading all the positive reviews again. But I was still disappointed. In my opinion, a hot sub should come with a toasted hoagie. Instead I was given a half soggy/watery mess of a meatball sub. BUT both times I've been given great service and welcomed/thanked for stopping by.

Killer vibe as always. It has been almost two years since I've been here again, and man have I…read moremissed it. The crew was awesome and it's always cool to me to see how hands-on every single person on the staff is. I was super hungry so I ordered the Niçoise salad which was perfect. The vinaigrette they have is flavorful and I would put it on anything. Since I've been on a ramen kick lately I had to have the wabi-sabi ramen which I highly recommend to everyone. Drinks! I got the good luck, outlaw and it was bright, not too sweet, gingery. If you're not used to consuming turmeric this may kick start your digestion so be wary if you're going somewhere with limited restrooms. Good for the gut really means GOOD for the gut. If you've never visited this little spot, don't be afraid to try something you may have not heard of. Shuga's is avant-garde dining, with a menu of all different kind of items that somehow still co-exist without sacrificing flavor, but still shows love to that menu item's traditional style. When you go there, you'll know what I mean. Have fun!

I was obsessed with the eclectic vibe both inside and on their patio. The weather was beautiful so we took advantage of the outdoor seating. The menu featured some delicious and unique items. I opted for the bruschetta & soup combo. The coconut shrimp soup was my absolutely fave! So so good! The bruschetta were hit or miss for me, I liked the goat cheese with grape but the salmon I wish had more flavor. Overall we enjoyed the meal & some great lattes too! An awesome spot to start the morning at.

So many new restaurants head into central or north Colorado Springs, Fountain has a cute downtown…read morearea but has always lacked many options for eating out. Now, Fountain can celebrate a hidden gem of their very own with Sliced Bagels & More! My husband and I love breakfast so we decided to hunt a new adventure today. Tucked into the square of Fountain is this space, it is a historic building from 1926 and they kept the theme going with a clean rustic decor. They bring in bagels from New York so the bagel itself gives you the authenticity of a chewy, delicious, well made bagel but they make their own fresh cream cheeses, sandwiches and drinks to go along with their bagels. The team behind the counter was super busy but didn't allow that to stop them from greeting everyone who came in. We were served quickly and the team was so friendly. We chose the Plain Blane, a jalapeño bagel with elote cream cheese, and a jalapeño bagel with bacon cheddar cream cheese. I have to admit, as an absolute maniac for elote, I was skeptical. I mean, elote is something magic-the pop of the lime, the crunch of the corn, the creaminess of the queso fresco and the slight heat from the red pepper paired with the creaminess of the mayo, in a cream cheese?! Could they do it? YES! They did! This cream cheese was absolutely everything that a perfect elote should be but on a chewy, crunchy, deliciously made bagel! The plain Blane is a buttered egg bagel piled high with bacon, fried egg and cheddar. We decided on this one to allow for us to taste the bagel itself without the added flavor of cream cheese. The cheese was melty, the bacon was plenty and this was another home run for us. The last but not least was the bacon cheddar cream cheese which we absolutely loved. All of their cream cheeses taste as they are named! Full of flavor, fresh and delicious!!! Don't sleep in and miss this place! We will be back for lunch offerings!
