Stopped here for breakfast before heading back on the road. Place was busy but were seated immediately. Coffee was good but the water did have a funny taste. I had the omelette and my wife the Benedict eggs. They all had their "famous " green salsa which was nothing but famous worthy. Later in the day, fortunately when we had already arrived at our next stop, we realized why they were famous for and it was not nice. Came in on Sunday (4/27/25) with my husband. We were quickly sat at a table, which felt lucky since they were pretty busy. The atmosphere is very much classic diner. We also noticed the staff and diners chatting quite a bit which made it seem like there were a lot of people who are regulars. Another great sign. I had a few issues (they charge for to go containers which is a bit silly to me since the portions are so big, and that we paid with cash but then after we left I remembered seeing that the cash and the card prices were different but we didn't see the difference on the ticket). Our food came out too quickly. That should have been a dead give away. Me and my S/O went out for breakfast here on a Monday at about 9am. There were only about four tables occupied at the time we came in. We ordered and shortly after our food came out. We've been here many times and I do know their kitchen can be fast but this was REALLY fast. I order ranch potatoes with my wagon master, instead I was brought hashbrowns. No big deal BUT then I went to get some on my fork and all the potato shreds were loose and not cooked. Hashbrowns should be crispy and not loose like noodles. our server let us know. It would be a moment on our pancakes. Also no big deal on waiting a few minutes for some pancakes. However when they got to the table my wife's were completely underdone and my plate was missing one and the other was nearly raw as well. Last pancake was finally brought to the table- also raw. Very disappointing. Showed the sever and asked them to be taken off the bill. Server was nice and I know the food is not her fault. It was a very disappointing breakfast. read more

Visiting a friend from out of town, he said this is one of his go to favorites. I was tempted to get the chili, but could not decide. The waitress disappears without any mention and returns with 6 tasters... I was very impressed and the chili's themselves were very good (the hottest one will kind of mess you up, eaters beware unless you can handle spice). The table covers were very neat, but not updated every year as ours said 2024 (when it was 2025). Food-wise: Great bison burger. Great portions. Could not finish, which is a rare thing for me. Walls are adorned with eclectic doodads and a very small television that reminded me of that one Office episode where Michael brags about his new flat screen. The worst experience of brunch! The waitress was totally off! I asked for water with NO ice, she brought me water with triple load of ice in it! They didn't have California egg Benedict in their menu, I asked if they could add spinach and avocado as I like to have California style of Benedict, she was confused went to kitchen and back and said they might have spinach, finally thy made me an egg Benedict that tasted like sh*** as the spinach was burnt and the avocado was browned. Guess what?! They had California Egg Benedict on their screen display menu and she did not even know about it to offer it when I asked for the California style! Food is so good big portions unless you can eat eat you can eat all of it but if you can't you're going to have to save that for home. Service is nice they ask you all the questions they're kind don't ask for tips all the time cuz other diners do overall good service. Overall food is great and flavorful. The service is kind of lacking in people. The woman that was giving us our food took a good 30 minutes to and hour to actually reach our table. Me and my wife tried to give it another shot or a second chance if you wanna call it, and order some food on doordash waited 30 minutes for the restaurant and confirm our order just for it to be cancelled. I usually have a great experience so because of that it gets three stars. This time was not good. From the beginning with the table being kinda nasty to the time it took to get any attention from the wait staff. The place wasn't even full. We finally got our orders in and the waitress was not a nice person. She did her best to make us feel dumb and unimportant. I ordered the breakfast tacos and asked for lettuce tomato and onion. It came out and the vegetables were not good. They were probably froze them causing them to look that way and lose all their flavor. I couldn't even eat the lettuce. The thing I couldn't believe was my plate passed through enough hands that you would think one of them would have said "maybe we shouldn't serve that", but nope. I guess that's par for the course now. I will probably go to the west side location moving forward even thought its 15+ miles away. read more

The individual price for the plates are reasonable and the food is good, HOWEVER they charged over 8 bucks for two coffees, over $10 for 2 orange juice's, and 4 bucks for a table spoon of guacamole on each plate. There was a time where this was my favorite restaurant. This place always felt like a hidden gem. Food was always good, service was great, and the value was perfect. After my last visit, I feel like this is a "all good things must come to an end" scenario. I got there every couple of weeks with friends, but missed the past few times for work and family reasons. So when I showed up yesterday with a buddy, you can't imagine the shock I felt when nothing was the same. As I entered the waitress told us to find a table, we found the only booth left. As we sat down the waitress ran over and told us "ugh, you would pick the only table I haven't wiped down yet." Like it was our fault. It felt weird, but I ignored it. Something that should be said about this place is that the booths are very cramped. So as I sat down, I couldn't get my legs under and had to move the table forward a bit. The waitress scoffed at this and said, "suck it in" while laughing. This is where I got annoyed. I told her I'm tall, not fat. She then asked my friend what he wanted to drink, then walked away, I had to raise my voice for my drink order. My friend got three refills, I didn't get any. When it came time to order, she asked us if we were ready, we said yes. As my friend ordered an appetizer, she interrupted him to ask if he was even ready to order. Again, we both said yes. She then had to pull out her pad to get our order and told us, "well I'm not even ready". I ordered the steak dinner, she wouldn't let me get much out. She kept interrupting both of us with our orders to either repeat it or verify, which is normal, but it seemed really snippy. When she asked what dressing I wanted with my salad, I said Caesar. This must have been a bad move, because she loudly scoffed at that question. She mockingly told me the dressings they had. I just ignored it and said I did not want a salad. After we got our appetizer, she brought my buddy a cup of Carmel and said to dip the appetizer (cheese curds) in it. My friend tried, he didn't like it. I didn't want to try it. She left us alone for while, but brought my buddy several refills. While not refilling mine. When our food came it was bland and tasteless. Now I cannot stress enough how much I love and praise the food there, this time was a complete turn around. The steak was rubbery and tasteless. The fries were unsalted. And the toast was complete mush. I didn't say a word about the quality of the food because I knew how that would go. Not that anyone asked or checked in. When it came time to pay, she walked over and started singing "who's gonna pay for the appetizer" my buddy raised his hand. She glanced at me then walked away. Not really sure what to think of all this even a day later. She brought us our checks, and this is where it continued to be weird. She was extremely polite to my buddy and waited for him to hand her his card, as soon as he did, she quickly took off towards the register. Meanwhile I'm holding my card and my bill. She processed his order, then rolled her eyes and scoffed when I told her I still needed to pay. I have no clue what I did to that waitress, but I'm not going there ever again. I never caught her name though. In less than a month, that place went from my favorite spot in town, to another place to avoid. It's truly sad to see. read more

Eaten here a couple times in the past couple months. Really enjoy their food, and they have reasonable prices. Service was extremely friendly and quick both times. Ingredients are obviously fresh, which I really appreciate. . My sister was brave enough to try their chili sauce, but didn't end up eating it all - it is truly as hot as they say. No worries though, she brought it home with her & will use it, just not all at the same time. Highly recommend this restaurant. . The only complaint I could have is the size of the restaurant is sort of cramped, especially when they're busy, and their bathrooms are outside. read more

We've ben eating here for years, while it was still Cokes Diner but are very happy that Western Omelette bought the place and upgraded the menu. Since the change in ownership, we've had breakfast and lunch here a few times but somehow I haven't reviewed it yet?? Stopped in today because the line at Shipleys donuts was too long and they were out of donuts. Breakfast here is very good. Today I tried the Huevos rancheros for the first time. This is a different preparation than I've had i other breakfast places. A flour tortilla filled with spicy chorizo and topped with a couple eggs and green chili, either mild or hot. I had the mild. I've also had the skillets, corned beef hash, and Jessie James, which is kind of like a slopper breakfast plate. For lunch here, you can go wrong with a slopper. I've had them in the restaurant and takeout several times. (Hint: if you are at Peaks N Pines brewery and the food truck is late, grab a slopper a half mile away and take it back to the brewery). I've also had burgers delivered before Friday night football games at the high school. Haven't had anything yet that I didn't like. Great little hometown diner. We had a skillet with french toast. Bacon and fat sausage link fantastic - finally a place where they crisp their bacon. Good breakfast burritos. Decent coffee as we like our coffee black so taste the flavor. They have quick friendly service. Their potatoes could be a little more fried. A typical friendly diner where they know your name as they have a lot of known regulars with a family atmosphere. We enjoy supporting small town local businesses. read more

My husband and I recently moved here from Upstate New York. We actually live right down the road from this place. We have tried a number of different restaurants in the area and have been surprisingly disappointed by not only the service but the food at most of these places (compared to where we were in NY). We have tried several dishes from Western Omelette 2 (some more than twice) - the Huevos Rancheros, Breakfast Chimichanga, Corned Beef Hash w/ 2 eggs, Breakfast Quesadilla, Reuben with fries and onion rings, Philly Steak, Patty Melt, and Habanero Ranch Burger, so far. EVERY single dish, every single time, has been DELICIOUS. And that's saying a lot. The portions are huge, the food is made very well and has always been delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. My husband and I sometimes split a dish because the portions are so big but if we don't we always have leftovers which is awesome. The staff is also always very pleasant.
