Not sure what has happened to this restaurant, but very disappointed last 2 visits! Prices have gone up but food quality has gone downhill. I was charged $2.00 for a tiny bit of guacamole and sour cream which apparently wasn't part of the meal. I was asked "would you like 1/2 guacamole and sour cream" when I ordered, as if it came with it. Hubby's meal was bland and disappointing. $2.75 for a soda without any refills. I really want to support family owned business too! read more

I have been waiting to write this review for about a month just to make sure I wasn't letting my emotions get the best of me. However I am still upset. After a long day of skiing my buddy and I decided that a simple burrito would be the perfect meal. We found this place on Yelp and felt that the prices were a bit on the high side but ultimately decided that we would try it out. After we arrived at the restaurant we learned that the menu on Yelp was not accurate and we ended up paying about $40 for 2 burritos which we felt was absolutely ridiculous. There was no indication that there had been updated prices and we felt bamboozled. There is no indication that the burritos were wet burritos which we did not want. I was driving and on a schedule to get back home and wanted something that I could eat on the drive. Upon further investigation we saw they were wet burritos and again we felt mislead. By the time I got home and actually had the chance to eat the burrito I was starving, despite my hunger the burrito was very subpar. The quality of ingredients was not what I would expect from a $20 burrito, and neither was the taste. On top of all of this I did not feel great after eating this meal. This jewel was shared with me from my niece and her awesome husband. the place was packed and my daughter and I snagged the last table. The people kept coming into this charming local mom and pop place. They never got rattled and kept up the great smiling service. The food was amazing. If you get good food and service is bad your whole experience is ruined. They cherish their customers and feed them well. Loved the sangria as well. We will be back soon. read more

We read the reviews on a local Facebook site for Monroe and Yelp too. So we came to try it out. The staff is very friendly, and polite. We were treated like we were old friends. I had Chimachungas, husband had Tacos Asada. My husband liked the Pico Gallo and Salsa they serve, and even ordered some to take home. This is a very cute, very friendly resturaunt. I was hesitant at first becuase there was construction outside,so no one was inside. But the server quickly greeted my boyfriend and I, and was very friendly. Chips and salsa(too hot for myself but my bf loved it) and pico(perfect for me) and even beans were brought out first. The food all tasted great and we came in at lunch so everything was priced very well. The only complaint I would have is the server took like 8 minutes to take our order because he was on his cell phone in the front of the resturaunt, which irritated me at first. But after he got off he was very attentive and nice. He kept up on my bf's drinks which is very nice and impressive since most places we go dont do that! The moment you open the door you are made to feel welcome. The food is outstanding, the service is fantastic. The entire waitstaff makes you feel Ike a friend, they will help you order based on questions they ask you about your tastes. They all seem to have a great sense of humor. It is always my go to place in Monroe. I usually order Arroz Con Pollo where ever I go and theirs is the best. So.... as we all know. There are a LOT of Mexican food restaurants out there. My family and I decided to try out Las Tres Maria's tonight. I chose to come here because they have a dish that has been very hard to find in our area. Chilaquiles! After ordering the Chilaquiles as an appetizer (it's actually a full plate with a rice & beans). I was pleasantly surprised. The food here was delicious. My family voted that Las Tres Maria's best out our normal "go to" Mexican restaurant near us. This is a must try for anyone that loves Mexican food! read more

Been coming here for over two years, almost once a week. There are a lot of good mexican choices in Monroe, but this is the best. My wife gets the Carne Asada-Rare every single time -Rare, it's tough to do on that cut of meat, but they get it right most of the time. Even when they don't it's still delicious. The service is fast, very friendly and unusually comical. The complimentary cups, salsa, pico and beans are unlimited and great as well as the rice and beans that come with the meal. I've tried most of the menu and trend towards the burritos which are 2 meals for me, tamale, chili relleno, enchilada combo, and shrimp dishes are good. Nothing I've tried has been bad, but I'd pass on the fajitas and mole, can find better elsewhere. read more

Food is good but something really bad going on with bill!!! I ordered two entrees and two extra rice and beans and extra large pico de gallo for curbside take out. Entrees at $19.95 ea and rice and beans at $3.50 ea, according to their menu posted online in several places, including on a delivery service, would be $47 plus tax. I was planning on giving them $60 which would include extra pico de gallo and a tip for take out! But today I was presented with a bill for $60.25 without the pico de gallo and was told that rice and beans were 5.95 each, not the $3.50 as priced on all the menus. I was also told that the "$55 I paid last time for exactly the same order didnt cover the bill". I said no, I paid $60 last time! And I had told the person who took the order last month that I would give them $60 cash and that was fine with them last time. (Today I was told the pico de gallo would be $5.95 additional). I believe in supporting local businesses, especially during covid. I gave them $70 after all of this today, but I WILL NOT BE BACK!!! What the heck, Bait and switch??? read more

In my latest adventure of trying new places, I came upon Las Tres Marias on yelp. With plans to meet up with family for an early dinner I chose "Las Tres Marias". Some of our dinner party tried to suggest another place (suggesting it was better). Well I stuck to my choice (I don't think they had ever been to Las Tres Marias before to be honest). And I'm so glad I stuck to my choice, from the beginning (Chips, Salsa, Refried Beans, & Pico de Gallo was delicious. I could've just gorged on that for dinner, then my Veggie burrito was also delicious. Everyone was happy with our visit to Las Tres Marias. And the customer service is superb as well. Everything tastes better when you're treated well, and we found the food at Las Tres Marias to be quite good. We were only in Monroe for a weekend and were happy to have stumbled upon this warm, friendly place. We found the reception we received to be refreshing (I'll take "amiga" over "ma'am" any day). It was nice to be in a relaxed environment, to be regarded as a fellow human being instead of just another patron. We found the staff so friendly and comfortable I'm sure we'd become regulars if we only lived nearby. The food was well done and the portions were surprisingly large. I ordered the super nachos off the appetizer menu not knowing I'd get a PLATTER full of thin, delectably crisp tortilla chips, deliciously spiced pulled beef, etc. The two of us could have shared that one dish and been satisfied. My spouse got the carne asada tacos: three soft tortillas enfolding juicy bits of steak cooked just to the perfect point of having a bit of crust on the ends. The rice and beans were good, too, and his margarita was massive. Yes, the food is "Americanized" as befits its location, and it's not innovative or something-fusion or trendy, nor does it pretend to be. It's American Mexican staples - exactly the menu you may crave and have come to expect in the smaller towns and neighborhoods of the US - and it's done really, really well. read more

Great, little known, find. Having done my share of traveling I have learned to watch the clientele. This business always has a healthy bunch of eaters many appear to be from south of the border. Those "regulars" know what they are about when it comes to Mexican food. The sauces and blends of flavor are very well done.
