What a rip-off! I specifically told the guy that I would care of the registration as I handed him my credit card. He then said , "oh my bad" and asked me to step out of the booth-- probably so I wouldn't see what he was doing. When I got the receipt I asked him why is it forty dollars (the fee for the smog check is $30), I said l would take care of the registration. He then argues with me saying that I didn't say that. At that point he again asked where he went wrong and I said again that I said I would take care of the registration. He kept on pushing the point, saying the same thing over and over again, as if he says it enough it comes true? He refused to cancel the transaction, saying he could not do it which is BS, as drift capture terminals to not continuously update, a batch is run at the end of the day. What I lf he put in $400 he couldn't have cancelled the transaction?! I then said he was acting stupid, signed the charge, at which point he ordered me "get out of here." When someone acts stupid it is so obvious. They don't believe what they are saying -- they are just running off of a script. Clearly this company wanted the extra $10 fee and more than likely incentivizes their employees to get it. As a 35 year resident of Las Vegas, this is the typical Las Vegas once a year BS business. The person was nice, and the service was quick, but I was told the price was one thing, then was charged for a higher price without explanation. I was flustered at the time and didn't see that I'd been charged almost double what they quoted me for. I didn't get a chance to ask why they said one thing then charged another, so I'm not sure if he just forgot to tell me or what. Either way, it was a good experience in the sense of quickly getting it all done. Popped by this smog hut right outside my neighborhood for a smog check in my little lexus ct200 hybrid. Although there were 2 cars ahead of me, i was still able to pass my smog check in under 15 minutes! The attendant guy is very efficient, attentive and nice. After backing up into the designated parking spot marked off by cones, both my engine under the front hood and inside dash board is checked noting the mileage while giving my zip code. Then i had to rev my engine by keeping my foot on the gas pedal while the attendant went inside to watch the monitors. After all this was done, i paid $30 by credit card. read more

I have a 93 Ford. Last year they charged $10 extra due to having to smog the old school way, not just plugging into the car. They say extra time but it is only 10 extra minutes. I go this year and they want $75. They don't want to smog the older cars so they keep raising the price. It is their prerogative but just terrible to take advantage. I have 6 cars and used to smog them all there. No longer. read more

Went to smog my 92 Mazda, they wanted $73 for the test because its a 2-step test, which means they have to do more than just plug into the cars system. Everytime i go to this place its closed or they don't have a tech and they leave a aign saying they are trying to hire someone. Ive been to this location at least twice. Both times closed. Quick and easy plus located near my house. There was no line. All he did was plug it in the computer and check the readings. My only complaint is rudeness and attitude towards seniors.. We pulled up to the business and saw no one next to the building.. So I backed in and as I got out the guy is yelling at me that there was two people ahead of us. We didn't see anyone else and we certainly understand if the are people ahead of us.. No problem.. We wouldn't have minded waiting.. But the way he treated us was uncalled for.. I sent my daughter to get a smog check from this location. I didn't realize her check engine light was on but she went anyhow as her registration was due. The technician proceeded to run a smog test knowing it wouldn't pass due to the check engine light being on. I feel like he preyed on an innocent young female who didn't know better while still accepting the cash tip I taught her to always leave when getting a smog check. Very disappointing & dishonest. There are known issues that will cause an automatic failure/rejection of a test, and they know this. But do they ask you before running a test? Nope. They run the test, fail it, and THEN ask if those conditions exist. Real helpful. Then they charge you anyway. I also didn't know my new-ish vehicle failed until I noticed it on the papers he handed me. He didn't actual tell me. And he was quite rude about it. Oh, and of course I'd be charged again to run another test. Oh, and on the door it says $10 for registration renewals. I was charged $19. Will never go back here. read more
