The fact that I gotta write a bad review on this place sucks because the guy that first helped me actually sent me to a good mechanic to fix the issue on my smog not passing so when I come back mind you for THE THIRD TIME and a new guy named Steve comes out asking me for cash to get the discount since I didn't have cash he then proceeded to charge me 26 dollars no seriously paying 80 dollars at this place is robbery save a trip I'm telling you or go to another smog chain cause this location robs it's customers!!!! read more

Plenty of places in town can smog test regular vehicles, but nobody can accommodate our 4WD Sprinter van.... Except Smog Hut! They've got the gear on site to handle our van, and took care of me quickly and easily. Staff was friendly and professional, they could even do the DMV renewal on site. Super convenient, I highly recommend. read more

My son went to this place and paid $26 for smog check and it was rejected because it just came out from dealer. The guy told to my boy that run the car about 100 miles and come back for another test and it will be free with receipt but he changed the word. When I go back to there with the receipt, he asked me another $25 for the test and he said like 'I never said government for free with receipt.' There are many test locations that offer free additional test if someone failed smog test at the same location previously. Hope you become rich. I passed smog check at different place with $16. read more

I just called to check on a price, prior to having the service performed. Not sure how these guys can compete, informed that the price is $25 (huh, this is not rocket science). This place was UNBELIEVABLY fast. I mean, I take bathroom breaks that take longer. I actually downloaded yelp just to make this review. "Old white guy" (he said to call him that) gave some directions to get through the kiosk and I was done in minutes with what would be an all-day trip to the DMV. 500/5 stars read more

Sunday afternoon and I really needed a smog check! Needed to register my car the next morning! I called everywhere, and everyone was closed! I called smog hut and they told me it was almost closing time but as long as I made it within the next 20 mins they would smog my car! Got their with 5 minutes to spare and the guy ( totally forgot his name!) :( was awesome! My car passed the smog in less then 5 minutes! This is the place to bring your car!! I called for pricing on smog for diesel truck the guy that answered told me it was 18.99 We show up and the guy working here told us they don't do diesel when there sign advertises diesel as well as my call before driving here. Such bad attitude from the moment we drove into the parking, guy was waving his hands pointing across the street to another smog check station, like he didn't want us there. read more

Fast process, and very good customer service. After smog check, I was in line for registration at the kiosk when I felt light headed so I went in my car to sit down, the owner checked up on me if I was okay and offered to do the registration for me. It's going above and beyond, I had been going here for smog test and will definitely be going back. read more

I got bad vibes from the guy here. He used "polite" words but his tone was telling he thought low of me. He charged me $23. My dumbass gave it to him. It says right on the hut! Lol. I realized after the fact, so that's my fault for not questioning it. But for the next person, if he charges you $23, it's actually $18.99. I gave three stars because he did the job. But that attitude. No sir, I will not be returning. read more

Every time I called for an update, I was told I needed to speak with a specific employee, yet he was rarely available. No one else in the shop could provide any clear information about the status of my vehicle. Both my boyfriend and I repeatedly reached out for updates and received almost no communication in return. I drove my truck to the shop on May 4, 2026, in running condition. After nearly three weeks, we were informed on May 27 that the vehicle was ready for pickup. However, upon arrival, the truck would not start or turn on at all. They charged my boyfriend $1,350 for what they claimed was transmission-related work, despite the fact that the truck was operational before being brought to them. In addition, he was separately charged $989 for a part that never even arrived, and again, this was never communicated to us. To make matters worse, the district manager handled the situation very unprofessionally and showed little concern regarding the condition of our truck or the amount of money already spent. Based on this experience, I would advise others to save their time, money, and frustration by taking their vehicle elsewhere. We are now pursuing legal action regarding this matter.
