This place is very nice and we got to sit outside by the water. It was beautiful. Our waiter Frankie was amazing! He knew the menu well and was very helpful. Not sure when they opened but tried them this weekend and it seems like they might still be working out some issues. Looks a little different than when it was the Cooper House (added a couple TVs, there are now a few seats at the bar, etc.) but otherwise looks pretty clean and bright. Beer and wine menus were good, but the drinks menu that is on the website isn't available in the restaurant? Also, some of the basic drink options from that menu aren't available to order, but other things are, so have a backup in mind if you're looking to order an alcoholic drink that isn't beer/wine. Food was OK, service was friendly but a little confused (delays between when everyone got their dinner for instance). Manager was walking the room asking people how things are and looking for feedback, so I think they're on the right track. Will give it a try again in a month or so and see if they're able to get things ironed out. read more

The restaurant was very spacious and open. The design was cool and it was very clean. The bathrooms were clean too. We made a reservation and were seated as soon as we got there. The staff was so nice! My friends and I sat outside. It was a relaxing time and we enjoyed the view. We had the cheeseteak eggrolls appetizer. Very tasty. I had the vodka pasta. Good sized portions. The pizzas, chicken parm, and stromboli all got the thumbs up. I love Tiramisu so I got a piece and shared. It is definitely in my top 3. Fresh and light. Not too sweet or bitter. We were a party of 8 and made a reservation for a Saturday night at 5:30. There weren't many people when we got there but by the end it was filling up. The restaurant it open with plenty of room, and it's nicely and simply decorated. The service was good. All of the food was delicious. We started with spicy calamari, arancini, and wings. They were all delicious. My fiancé and I split two pizzas. They are 12" pizzas so we had plenty left over to bring home for lunch today. We got the spicy Italian and the Brussels sprout pizzas. Used to go to this place when it was Lobster Trap. Wow has it changed! Adorable ambiance outside & inside looked really nice & clean & modern. Food & drinks were very tasty. Our waitress was a little inattentive and probably could have increased our bar tab tremendously if she would have came back to table more frequently! Gorgeous location with a large patio/beer garden overlooking the Cooper River. I came with family and everyone loved it here - great food with generous portions, excellent service, and a casual dining experience that was great for kids (we ate outside). We had a party here last weekend and we were disappointed with the service and food. I ordered the margarita pizza. It lacked flavor and had large slices of tomato all over it, which seemed out of place and made it hard to eat. The other guests ordered pasta dishes. None of which came with bread or soup/salad. All of our dishes came out at different times. Most of the guests agreed that the dishes weren't great either. My pizza came out 10 minutes before the others. The rest of the dishes came out 5 minutes apart. This was very odd. We came to celebrate and eat together. We weren't able to do this, since the dishes couldn't make it out at the same time. We stopped in after a walk in the park. The outdoor patio is so nice and relaxing on a sunny day; we enjoyed the view of the river. Cocktails were good and the food was very good. We had the half charcuterie (my only complaint is it doesn't come with bread), a very refreshing caprese with pesto, and the pear and gruyere pizza, which was delicious! Prices are reasonable, which pleasantly surprised us because of the location. Our server, Amber, was really nice and accommodating of our baby, who we brought in the stroller. came twice in 3 days lol first visit , ordered arancini & the braised short rib ravioli (the meat could've been seasoned with at least salt & pepper prior to putting in ravioli) it was tasty but kind of bland. Our server advised some of the drinks were new , so I ordered the blueberry margarita. It was great. My 2nd visit wasn't as promising . I ordered cheesesteak egg rolls -- they were good but nothing I haven't had before. Also requested the roasted duck pie with garlic oil drizzle to be added. No oil drizzle and the bottom was burnt. Ordered another blueberry margarita & there were no blueberries in it like it was supposed to have. Basically tasted like lemonade with vodka. Went here for the first time with a small group. We were seated quickly, their panoramic windows providing views of the river behind the property. In the summer, you may even see a few sailboats and geese! The interior looked modern and renovated, with a large open floor plan including some large tables (20 seats at one?) - possibly for community-style seating or large groups. The menu had good choices including healthy and vegan/vegetarian options. They have great pizzas too, though no one from our group tried this. Interesting selection of apps, entrees, cocktails, & drinks (they have a full bar). They didn't have 2 of the beers on the beer list (but my 3rd try... worked like a charm). Food was freshly made with quality ingredients - some may even consider it upscale dining. Ambiance was casual, with light music playing. They sometimes have live bands on their patio - none during this visit. The inside temperature was a bit cold for a summer - AC was on high but not uncomfortably cold. Our waitstaff was friendly and checked in with us. They bring the food out as it's ready, so likely everyone at your table will get their meals at different times. Prices were reasonable, and plenty of parking (the restaurant is within a public park). Overall, a nice place to dine with family & friends. read more

I never write reviews of restaurants but our experience here compelled me to. We ordered a few different dishes (apps and entrees) and a pizza for our young son. We were told that the food would come out sporadically but they sent my main meal out first (literally a 2 minutes after I ordered it) Then the rest of our order pretty much came out together in what seemed like no time at all which makes me think everything is pre made. Finally the pizza came out for our son and it was burnt on the bottom (burnt to the point of being inedible). We asked for another one which they were more then willing to do but the second pizza was just as burnt if not worse. The food quality was awful considering the prices. The server was fine but he did the bare minimum. It's quite a shame because the restaurant looks really nice and has potential to be a hopping place. If you can't make a pizza correctly or even edible you need to re-evaluate your business. read more

This restaurant is all about the atmosphere on the beautiful Cooper River. Great views. The beer garden is a nice touch in nice weather. They need to put in all tables and chairs with comfortable backs outside. Otherwise, decorum is excellent. Food is great but a bit small portion wise and too pricey. However, the atmosphere on Cooper River Park make it a must do. I suggest more evenings with acoustic guitar musicians. If they advertise more, this place will become a local go to icon. If you're seriously into carbs, then they have some good stuff. Various types of bread in addition to the pizzas. The ricotta board has especially nice rosemary bread and it's pretty tasty. The chicken masala was good and the duck breast cheesesteak creamy, though I had to skip half of the bread. Service could be a little less matter of fact. I made reservations for 4 people approximately a week ago. I arrived ahead of my reservation time tonight only to be condescendingly told by the hostess that my name is not on the list. I showed her my reservation number and the reservation itself. She told me, rudely, that "people make these up all the time", implying that I somehow forged a reservation verification. I did not. Whatever, no big deal, I guess. I asked to put our name in to wait. She took my number and said to wait for a text (30-40 minutes wait). After about an hour of having not received any text, my wife asked her if there was an update on a table. She lead my wife to a table for four. Lucky my wife is assertive. The food was fine. We ordered an appetizer that we had to remind the waitress about twice, then one of our meals came out about 10 minutes later than anyone else's (after again having to remind the waitress...who admitted she forgot.). I went here for Valentine's Day with friends. It was a very nice place! The design is really easy on the eyes. I enjoyed my dinner very much. We ordered a lot of food to share. We got crispy birra calamari which was very delicious! I enjoyed the sauce on it! It was crispy too! The baked eggplant was good! I love the ricotta board! It was nice and sweet! Both the gnocchi and rigatoni vodka were amazing! The gnocchi was so soft and melts in my mouth! The sauce was on point for me. Spicy tuna was good! I love the salad it was on! The pear and gruyere was delicious! It was slightly burnt at the bottom, but the honey masked it. It was good! I love pear on my pizza! Service was nice! Outdoor seating was perfect! Although it was a hot day, sitting by the river wasn't so bad. The view was peaceful, ambiance was upbeat, service was decent. My friend and I decided to split a few small dishes and everything was prepared perfectly. Drinks rooms little while which wasn't expected since it was a weeknight and not very crowded. Excited to try it. Nice location ---good view of the water. Beer selection, decent. Food, mostly meh. (Meh--a sound someone makes when bored or underwhelmed) The best....meatball salad. Meatball was big, moist and delicious, plus it has a salad with it. The good...short rib ravioli. Delish, but just barely warm. Everything else was just okay. Besides the temperature of our ravioli, other little issues that impacted my star rating include no explanation of what was on the salumi platter we ordered. It had 3 or 4 cheeses and 3 or 4 meats, but the guy put it on the table, filed, and walked away. I asked the server if they had bread, and he replied "we don't bring bread". And then he brought bread. So, who knows what's up with that thing. (Most other tables had bread, btw). Just a somewhat uneven experience all around. So this is all a long way of saying that I'll go back if someone I'm with wants to go or I'm nearby. But it's probably not with going out of my way for. There are great Italian restaurants in Collingwood, just 2 miles away. There are great beer places in Westmont, also 2 miles away. This place didn't really stand out, for me. read more

Working with the manager was great (very flexible, very communicative) and our event went very well. Everyone commented on how beautiful the restaurant was and how delicious the food was. They even boxed up excess food and cake for our guests to take home! The price was also extremely reasonable for everything that was included. They had their new spring/summer drink menu out so I had to try the blackberry crush and my bf had the mojito! Both were delicious! We had the mussels in red sauce! They were perfect! Slightly spicy but a good spice! Tons of flavor and clean which is usually hard for most places! We also ordered the Mac and cheese pizza! It was delicious and I couldn't stop eating it!
