They slotted me in with someone I was not comfortable with from the start. Immediately, the culture changed. If you like Grand Central, they bring it right into the dentist's office. Assistants rushing around, people chatting and clanging into things. A real display of chaos that makes dental work feel like a construction site. The new dentist did a cleaning and told me my crown would probably fall off. It did. I went back. They cleaned the area, treated what needed to be treated, and replaced the crown. Immediately, I could feel that something was wrong. My bite was grinding, and the gap around the crown was all I could feel when I ate. I went back and had them adjust the bite. When I questioned the gap, I was told it had always been there. Too dismissive, too defensive. I knew what my mouth felt like before the crown was replaced, and I knew what it felt like afterward. I got a second opinion. That dentist thought the entire thing needed to be redone. Instead of stepping back and reconsidering the work, I was eventually pressured into letting them do a bridge. That bridge failed along with the crown they had placed, leaving me dealing with the consequences and looking for yet another dentist. And the way they handled my questions was almost as troubling as the work itself. The dentist who did the procedure was laughing and joking with colleagues while stretching out my mouth. When I questioned the results, I felt dismissed and pressured rather than listened to. At one point I was told my tooth was moving, then the dentist told me it had been a difficult job. That was news to me. It certainly wasn't communicated while she was working on me. If you like the feeling of being rushed through dental work, pressured into additional treatment, and then made to feel like you're the problem when you question the results, you'll love this place. One thing they are really good at is dodging responsibility. The managers seem to have plenty of time away from the office when you're trying to get help with a problem. I like a dentist who is communicative, careful, and knows what they're doing. This is not my dentist. I will never go back. Best of luck with your dental search. A good dentist is a real find. While you sit in the chair getting your teeth whitened, they give you these yellow tinted plastic glasses that supposedly protect your eyes. I was doubtful because they look like they came out of a cereal box. When you're done with the procedure, you take the glasses off and your teeth look pretty white. A glass of lemonade would look white at that point too - after spending about an hour seeing everything tinted yellow. When my eyes had adjusted and I got home I realized my teeth hadn't whitened at all. Tricky! They also are very pushy to get you to buy another session at a discount. The discount only applies if you pay on the spot, and they really press you. I paid in the office for a second session that I didn't even bother going back for because it's truly a waste of time for minimal results. They sometimes offer a discount for positive Yelp reviews, so keep in mind that a lot of these 5 stars are from people who are getting some money back and haven't had enough time to realize their teeth are same as always. As a final insult, my teeth were incredibly, painfully sensitive for the rest of the day.

In our brief moments over the phone, she asked me about my situation and tried to console me and see if she could help- I could tell she cared about my well-being. All of the staff were very friendly and thorough. I'm very regular about my dentist visits (every 6 months) and have seen a couple different ones the past few years from moving around states - but Chung and his staff were able to identify a dead tooth/infection that I apparently had for a few years (they could tell it's been there a while based on the size of the infection growth shown in the x-rays). I'll need to get a root canal procedure to stop the infection from spreading! I'm appalled that my past dentists never caught this. They also pointed out several minor cavities & teeth grinding, and gave me suggestions on what I could do to solve those issues - ex. Filling the cavities, getting a mouth guard, and general tips on how I can be eating/brushing better to avoid these problems. The office lady also said she would check with my insurance to see what my out of pockets cost were and let me know, so that I could decide if I'd like to proceed with coming back for the additional work needed. I'll come back to update my review then, but great impression so far!
