This week, I went in for my routine six-month cleaning and X-rays. Everything went well, and I was told my X-rays looked great. Before I left, however, a new dentist came in for a quick exam and told me I needed two dental procedures within the next couple of weeks. It didn't feel quite right, but I trusted the recommendation and scheduled the appointment. Something continued to bother me, so I sought a second opinion from a prosthodontist. After a thorough evaluation, she told me the recommended procedures were unnecessary and strongly advised me not to move forward with them. I called West End Dental Associates to express my concerns. I was told the dentist I saw was a new hire and that the head dentist would call me the following day to discuss the situation. Unfortunately, I never received that call. What concerns me most is not just that I was given what another dental specialist considered poor clinical advice, but also the complete lack of follow-up after I raised my concerns. That experience has caused me to lose confidence in the practice, and I will be taking my dental care elsewhere.

I made an appointment and he took a lot of X-rays to make sure his assessment was correct. Nothing was wrong with my tooth. He could have done "whatever " and made $2,000, but he did not! I asked for a breakdown of what the fees would be and they would not provide that to me...it has now been 7 week, hours on the phone with their HORRIBLE staff, I have received no care, and my insurance co hasnt heard from them and they will not provide me with a cost breakdown for services. The customer service was great and the manager at the time stated he was grateful for my union insurance during tough times. Recently I had a x ray and awaited approval for a reoccurring procedure. This time I noticed a downgrade in customer service and this office wanted over 2000 dollars for the same procedure they performed in the past for 100 Co pay ? They stated they no longer have specialized dentists only contractors? Disappointed!
