They have cancelled my RF microneedling appointment twice with little notice, and both times providing reasons that are not "unforeseeable circumstances", and it is very difficult (if not impossible) to contact anyone at LaserAway to get a response. Additionally, the one time they kept my appointment and numbed me up, I couldn't get the treatment because they didn't have the implements. I bought a package over 6 months ago and in total I've only been able to get 1 treatment because either they cancel or don't have the equipment to do it when I get there. The level of unprofessionalism is unbelievable. They finally promised me a refund for 2/3 of what I paid from corporate, saying it would be posted 5-7 business days later. Absolutely nothing for over three weeks, and they would not respond to calls, emails or chats. Finally they refund me $400 less than what they *explicitly* told me, without an explanation (I rejected the first amount they mentioned as an unsuitable solution). Absolutely a scam. By the way, this is not me, but clearly shows a sustained pattern on cancellations and lack of response. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. As someone who sought services here after a friend's referral, I do not have a positive first impression of Laser Away. I got a consultation online with Melissa Gonzalez and it was pretty fast-paced. I mentioned I had a referral and she asked for her number was like "Great, I'll make sure you and your friend get your points". She insisted I pay on the spot and neglected to mention financing options which was fine. We selected Brooklyn Heights as the location as well as the time/date of appointment and that was that. Fast forward to my appointment date, imagine my surprise when I show up at the agreed location and time only for the front desk people to tell me, "She didn't put you in". I was really confused because how can you take my money without scheduling my appointment when you've repeatedly told me that you "took care of it?" Apparently, this is a common occurrence for clients who have been scheduled by Melissa Gonzalez and when I asked about the referral credit, I was informed that Melissa didn't put that in either. The degree of unprofessionalism astounds me. Luckily, the staff at Brooklyn Heights were nice and they accommodated me and made sure that I felt welcome. They were able to squeeze me in and Dazjia was very reassuring in providing me information that Melissa neglected to mention as well as putting in the referral form. I also really liked my injector Kayla who did a good job in listening to my needs. If you decide to get services done at LaserAway, I would recommend that you find the location nearest you and call them DIRECTLY. During a maintenance appointment for a Brazilian laser hair removal treatment at LaserAway on August 16th, I sustained a burn. I felt a stinging sensation and reacted by saying "ouch" and flinching several times before the technician stopped and apologized. The burn is located on the front part of my pubic area, near my labia and the skin was broken. The size of the burn is tad smaller than a dime. On Monday, August 18th, I reported the incident to LaserAway. I was informed that they would escalate the issue to upper management and that it wasn't necessary to provide photos due to the sensitive nature of the area. As of today, August 22nd, I have yet to receive a follow-up call and the burn is still in the process of healing and it's an eye sore. read more

I've been a customer of LaserAway, particularly the Brooklyn Heights location, since spring of 2020 after receiving a great Memorial Day Weekend deal on laser hair removal (BOGO for lower legs + Brazilian, but they also gave me 8 treatments instead of 6 and threw in underarms as well). I had been scouting laser hair removal prices for a while and although I didn't like the not-so straight forward pricing, their sales teams are always so kind, helpful, and forthcoming, which took the secrecy out of it. You also earn rewards for referrals; my laser and botox results speak for themselves when I recommend their services to my friends. That being said, in Nov 2021 I tacked on Botox for the first time, I think back then it was $9 a unit when on sale for Black Friday. They let me try out with a bank of 100 units, that way I wasn't over committing if I ultimately didn't like it. But of course I did. I still looked like ME, which was super important. I think people get Botox and fillers confused. It's not like lip fillers where people notice the work you had done... Botox doesn't make your face change, just kind of helps freeze it in time, and they can control how "frozen" you want to be. I still love a smidge of eyebrow movement, and Talia never does me wrong. They don't force a Botox minimum on you either (one well-known place in Manhattan I inquired upon does a minimum of 50 units per session, which pretty much contradicts "baby" [preventative] Botox). The Brooklyn Heights team is always so kind and helpful (shoutout to Raven!) when discussing adding on packages, especially as you tack on more treatments, helping you get the most bang for your buck while doing it safely and reliably. Speaking of affordability, upon approval, you can purchase treatments using CareCredit, preventing up-front payment with zero interest for a certain period of time. I've done this for all my various treatments with peace of mind, and the LaserAway team helps you set it up. I went to this location due to a mix up on my end, and because they were so accommodating - I haven't gone anywhere else. Such a great treatment center, it's super clean and cutely designed. Each staff member is a joy to interact with and I genuinely enjoy going here. The treatments themselves are worth the $$; it's reasonably priced and I saw results immediately. I've had a package for a few areas: Brazilian, happy trail, underarms and legs. I had a few questions about the machine settings to make sure I was getting the most personalized treatment and her answer was very reassuring. She even showed me how the settings were picked based off of my skin type. This company is ran by a bunch of scammers. I paid over $5000 for a tattoo removal package and saw no results. Upon purchasing the package I was told I would only need 10 sessions then towards my 5th session I was told I would need closer to 13-16. When I brought this to the attention of the staff and Brian from corporate, who was absolutely awful and does not know how to manage a business they did nothing and will not refund my money. Brian referred to tattoo removal as a cancer treatment saying it's basically a hit or miss to whether or not it will work. Very appalling. Like who says that??? DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY TATTOO REMOVAL. They will scam you into paying thousands for a package. They are also very unprofessional and can never give you the right information. A staff who I was close with at the Brooklyn Heights location told me personally do not continue treatments here after my package is up. I really wish they would have done the right think by a loyal customer who has been coming here for years and refunded my $3,000 instead of bullying me into store credit after I disclosed I am not a happy customer and do not want to continue to come to laseraway anymore after my interaction with AJ and Brian. Had they did so I would've continued to come back for different services. Brian went ahead and sent me an invoice for $630 per session if I decided not to move forward with the package I purchased. The nurses themselves are amazing and kind. They make you feel at ease. I wish they had their own review system. But the back office, management, and corporate are absolute messes. It's hard to reach someone when you have an issue, but if you need to make purchases, they're available within seconds. Getting a refund is a hassle, and your sessions and purchases always seem to disappear. Even after proving that sessions they claim I attended could not have happened since I was away on travel, they acted like reading wasn't fundamental, and somehow I could be at two places at once. And if you purchase at a significant discount, they'll somehow never have availability for you. If you're ever told you're receiving complimentary service, you're not. Or they don't document it. And while I am sure someone will reply to this saying customer satisfaction is their priority, it isn't. It took me six weeks of calling twice a week about an issue before threatening to get a lawyer involved for someone to return my calls. And when they did, they were too concerned with trying to prove corporate right instead of gathering the information and making an honest assessment. And I say this professionally as someone who manages the customer service department of a well-respected company. The issue: after six months of receiving services, being told I had never purchased them when I have emails, bank payment (which they claimed was for something else, and since you don't get a hard copy contract, challenging to fight) and phone documentation (including recordings since my work phone records all conversation) with one of there employees, who so happened to no longer work there at the time I was told this. And if you read the negative comments, it's all the same complaints, which means it is an issue that they have yet to address. This place sucks. If you book multiple sessions, packages, maintenance, etc., they will get it all wrong. MAKE SURE YOU TALLY EACH TYPE OF SESSION. You will risk not get every session you're entitled. It sucks that you have to be your own coordinator, you cannot rely on them to follow through and maintain your remaining sessions. They used to be excellent. They changed the front desk staff, and suddenly, my appts would be canceled or moved around. Sometimes, they would tell you beforehand, which is STILL annoying, but other times, they would get moved or canceled without notification. Imagine not feeling so great and commuting for them to tell you can't get the service you booked a month in advance. Yet they will still spam you with texts after you've confirmed and threaten an exorbitant fee. My first year wasn't like this, but the second was horrible, and all these scenarios happened multiple times. The worst experience was when I was booked near closing hours. I had two back-to-back sessions, but I only got one. They don't even know their own operating hours and booked one of the sessions after hours. It seemed like they just wanted to close and go once they realized, even though they apologized and said to return. When I came back, they claimed I used all my sessions and tried to sell me more sessions even though I literally didn't use all of them. In order for me to not to get out of character for sheer incompetence and lack of empathy, I've been calling over and over since I've calmed down and everyone is playing around with me. I called customer service about this multiple times. All they do is ask what happened and do nothing. When you follow up, they say someone will reach out, but no one does. It was the same thing multiple times. It got to the point where I asked them to tell me a date and time they will follow up. It seems like pretty much told me anyday in their head knowing they are not going to follow up. Why am I chasing down services I paid for? They are grifters, and they can't manage simple scheduling procedures. Nor are they willing to rectify the issue. They won't fix anything but are sure to get payment upfront. They rely on waiting people out so they can get away with not fixing the issue. Edit: notice how someone was quick to give a canned response but no has ever reached out yet. You will also notice other people in other reviews with similar claims. Just expect to be robbed if you still decide to get their services. Edit2: the more complaints I read about, it definitely seems to be a bait and switch practice where technically you get most of your package but but not at discount they promote. Therefore the value of what was provided is higher if you don't "complete" (more like STEAL) your sessions. You might as pay a higher costs with a reputable salon who don't act like children and lure people in with prices that are not even that valuable to begin with. They just happen to a chain location and market inaccurate rates up front. read more

The package I bought included underarms but I asked the nurse to skip the underarm as I wanted to save the sessions. She did not perform underarm laser hair removal on me but marked that she did. I came in 3X asking them to correct it, but was told that they had to speak with the nurse Nancy. The first 2 times I dropped by, Vanessa said she wasn't there and that they would need to get back to me. The 3rd time I dropped by, Nancy was there but with a customer. I was told that they would check with her after she was done with her treatment and that I would get a call or text back. They finally added the session back to my account after verifying that I did not use it. My last treatment a week ago was done by what seemed to be a high schooler, who did not know how to hold the needle, constantly switching hands trying to figure it out - and then she dropped the needle multiple times.
