The Shocking Corporate Response When I finally spoke to someone from their corporate office--who claimed to work in the Legal Department--I was subjected to what can only be described as slick, dismissive rhetoric. After providing ridiculous examples to justify the failure of their service, this individual made a statement that left me stunned: "There are no expectations of success when starting laser treatment." Let me repeat that: I was told there is NO EXPECTATION OF SUCCESS. I asked him to confirm this twice because I couldn't believe my ears. He likened laser hair removal to joining a gym, claiming there's no guarantee of results from any procedure. This is beyond absurd. No one pays nearly $1,000 for a service with the understanding that failure is an acceptable outcome. Had this information been disclosed to me upfront, I would never have purchased this package. A Warning for Men Considering Laser Hair Removal LaserAway failed to disclose critical facts that every man considering laser hair removal should know: Gray Hairs Cannot Be Removed - This was vaguely disclosed to me, so I understood this limitation. Aging During Treatment Can Turn Black Hairs Gray - What wasn't explained is that the treatment process takes nearly a year, with one session per month. If you're at an age where you're prone to graying, those black hairs can turn gray during the treatment period, making them untreatable. In essence, you're paying for nothing if your hair color naturally changes during the process. You May Be Left with Patches - LaserAway's treatments can destroy black hairs while leaving gray hairs intact, resulting in unsightly patches that make it difficult to grow a uniform beard. You may end up regretting the entire process. A Complete Lack of Accountability LaserAway's failure doesn't stop at the misleading sales pitch. The corporate office's response exemplifies how little they value their customers' satisfaction. Telling a paying customer that there's "no expectation of success" is insulting and shows a blatant disregard for ethical business practices. Final Thoughts Men, especially those trying to remove gray hairs or who are starting to turn gray, should think very carefully before using LaserAway's services. This company is happy to take your money upfront without making any meaningful guarantees or even providing realistic expectations of success. But what I appreciate most is she double checked what areas to laser hair remove and caught that I was also getting my upper legs in the package. Not realizing it... I didn't prepare and shave my legs. Online it says they have a strict policy, if you are not shaved and ready that they won't treat you. But Denise checked with the front desk to see if there was enough time to shave my legs herself in order for me to get laser hair removal on my legs that same day.
