This is a review about customer service and the appointment system. First of all, LaserAway clearly does not have enough appointment slots/locations for the volume of clientele that they have. Appointments are booked out 6 weeks in advance, and if something comes up in those 6 weeks (spoiler alert life happens) there is little to no flexibility with rescheduling your appointment. You will probably have to wait weeks to reschedule. Bad customer experience. Now on to the customer service. So far all of the nurses/techs I've dealt with for my hair removal have been incredibly professional and friendly. The same can be said for my rep, Sophia, she's so sweet and accommodating. The same CANNOT be said about some of the receptionists, unfortunately. In a perfect world, I would be able to show up 10-15 minutes early to my appointment, but when I'm coming from work and there's traffic I'm not always able to time it correctly. (This ties into their lack of appointment availability, I have to accommodate THEIR packed schedule and try to squeeze my appointments into inopportune times.) Today I was 7 minutes late. GPS said it would take 20 minutes, and it took 30 minutes, it happens. I know LaserAway has a 5 minute grace period policy. I asked if the receptionist could work with me, and got back extremely rude responses. She asked where I worked, and when I told her she replied that it should only be a twenty minute drive and became argumentative. I am literally paying over $4,000 for hair removal and they can't be professional, let alone cordial? Is it because they know I'm stuck in a contract so they can afford to be rude? I get friendlier service at McDonald's, which is something I don't expect. I do, however, expect GOOD customer service for the amount of $$$ I am shelling out. If I didn't pay for a year of services in advance I would not be going back. read more

My sister in law Tara had her whole body lasered for hair removal two years ago for Mother's Day. I knew at some point I would want to laser most of my body as well but put it off until a few month's back when a friend brought up that she was going to get lasered. I remembered the good review/experience that Tara had at LaserAway which is what ultimately led my decision to go with them as opposed to other laser companies. I purchased 10 upper lip services, and 8 services for: underarms, full arms, brazilian, and full legs which ran me upwards of $4,000. I got a quote over the phone and paid in full to avoid having to use their financing company. January 28th was my first appointment at LaserAway. The lady at the front desk was courteous and friendly (I didn't catch her name). My laser technician was Diana who was very sweet and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. I have olive skin tone paired with thick dark hair and the most sensitive spot for me was my lower legs. My 2nd appointment is Monday March 15 which is this coming Monday and I am most amazed with the results on the lower half of my legs. The hair is growing back sparse and thinner. I wish I would've taken a before photo to show the difference but just imagine the entire lower leg full of thick dark hair (similar to that of a grown man's legs!). My sister in law showed me her lower leg the other day and even her hair follicles have disappeared and her legs were super smooth! I can't wait till I'm done with all treatments and don't have to worry about shaving or waxing anymore. As a mother of three it's definitely a hassle to schedule wax appointments or even make time to shave. Another reason I chose LaserAway over other options is because I don't have time to be driving around to different locations to get multiple discounts through Groupon. For me LaserAway was pricey but more convenient since I am having all of my services done at one location close to home and in one session. Ultimately it will save me a lot in the long term.
