This is my second time at this location and I want to be clear, my actual treatment experience is always amazing. The technicians are professional, kind, and make me feel completely comfortable every single time. I truly have no complaints about the service itself. However, the scheduling process has consistently been a nightmare. My appointment times are almost never what they were originally set as, and there's always some sort of issue or change. Unfortunately, this hasn't just happened at this location -- it's been my experience at almost every LaserAway location I've visited. As a busy professional, time is extremely important to me. Constant scheduling inconsistencies are a major inconvenience. I even attempted to cancel my LaserAway plan because of this ongoing issue, but I wasn't allowed to. It also appears that LaserAway is known for being unresponsive and difficult (almost impossible) when it comes to processing refunds. Avoid LaserAway for your peace of mind and your skin. After leaving my initial review on Google, I still have not been contacted or given any resolution. I do not need apologies, only a prompt refund of the amount paid for the facial laser treatment I was never given. There has been a consistent lack of communication throughout this entire experience: 1. Before my consultation, sales representatives aggressively pushed bundled packages (including six Clear + Brilliant laser treatments) without properly evaluating my skin. They also repeatedly called me in a disruptive and intrusive manner. Even during my free consultation, the technician confirmed I did not have brown spots or sun damage, yet the sales continued. (My concern is redness, not pigmentation!) 2. I was required to pay the full amount in advance in order to schedule the appointment, which felt like a forced payment condition. Before purchasing the bundle, I wanted to try a single treatment first, so I paid the full amount for one treatment that better aligned with my concerns, rather than the 6 Clear + Brilliant laser package. 3. On the day of my appointment, the office (Tysons Corner, VA) was closed with no notice, no staff present, and no text or email notification. I was left stadning there for more than 20 minutes. 4. After leaving my first review on Google, I was asked to contact them, but no one has reached out to me despite multiple attempts on my end. 5. Every time I call, I am directed to an AI system with no ability to reach a live person, despite repeatedly requesting "the front desk" as I was informed at the office. 6. On one occasion, I was finally connected to a representative whose audio quality was extremely poor and echoed, making it difficult to hear her clearly. She stated that she works on the general line, not specifically at the Tysons Corner location. 7. She said she had requested a refund on my behalf, so I asked her to provide written confirmation or a receipt of the refund request. She responded that she does not have access to that documentation and is unable to provide it due to limited system access. 8. I was told I need to wait again until someone calls me back once my refund is processed. So I'm still waiting for more than 10 days after my appointment date, despite the service never being provided. I came to LaserAway with high hopes based on their marketing and consultations, but unfortunately, my experience did not match the expectations set. In my personal case, the treatments were not effective despite following all guidelines and completing multiple sessions. I saw little to no improvement, and it felt like I was paying for something that simply didn't deliver results for me. The staff I interacted with seemed rushed during my appointments, and I didn't feel like I was receiving individualized care or attention. At one point, I even experienced discomfort and irritation after a session, which I reported--but I didn't feel my concerns were taken seriously. The most difficult part has been trying to get support from their customer service. I found it extremely hard to get a clear response or solution. After a rough start with the Ashburn, VA location when I walked in for a highly anticipated thermage treatment that I'd waited two weeks to get, only to be told that someone was supposed to call me about canceling since they do not do thermage at their location- Mercedes at the Tyson's office took the brunt of my disappointment and anger when I called. She was horrified about what had happened, apologized and made me an appointment with them since they do thermage at their location. She's checked up on me and gave me a cell phone # to get her if I had any questions. I did have to go to the Arlington office yesterday, as something came up. Anna was great. She explained each step of the treatment and made me comfortable. The thermage treatment itself was a tad painful on thin skin areas like the lower neck and in front of the ears, but nothing serious enough to stop. Glad I did it! Now to take care of my skin and wait as my skin tightens naturally. I've already had a compliment from someone who didn't know I'd done anything to my face. When you call to make your first appointment, make sure that you get the location you want, not their overall call center who do not know what each facility does. Unacceptable and Unprofessional - Ashburn & Reston Offices This entire experience has been beyond frustrating. I originally scheduled an appointment two months ago at the Ashburn office. Without any notice or explanation, it was suddenly canceled. When I called the general line, they saw my appointment in the system, but the Ashburn manager, Tiffany, claimed there was no record. Turns out they double-booked someone else and just canceled mine--no call, no email, nothing. This wasn't even the first time. Previous appointments were also canceled and rescheduled to the Reston office, where I was told again that they had double-booked and "couldn't help me." The entire process has been a joke--disorganized, unprofessional, and completely disrespectful of people's time. If you value your schedule and expect even the most basic level of customer service, stay far away from both of these locations. read more

I've taken LaserAway Reston and Tyson's all the way down to one star, if you saw my previous review they have way oversold packages whole understaffing the locations making wait times for an appointments very far out (goodness forbid you have a reschedule) and even when you do have an appointment, expect them to run late with prior clients by at least a half hour every time. If you're getting laser hair removal it's important to stick to the hair regrowth cycle and these locations and their understaffing pretty much guarantee you can't. I've confirmed at best, they have one technician trying to work multiple clients at the same time and it's clearly not working. If you buy a package here, they will take your money and you'll fight tooth and nail to ever get an appointment or value out of it. This is a horrible business practice. Go elsewhere. read more

I've contemplated laser hair removal for a couple of years. I model and had an experience during NYFW & decided to do something about my hyperpigmentation/razor bumps. I had my consultation & got to ask a ton of questions! The woman who helped me through my consultation was knowledgeable & thorough. I've had my first two sessions already plus a clear & brilliant facial and I'm so happy with my decision! I was concerned because I am a woman of color and I've heard bad things about this, but a few of my girlfriends have had laser hair removal and their skin/hyperpigmentation/razor bumps/etc are a thing of the past. I want in on that club! Not only am I pleased with the improvements to my skin already (for the most part...some of my hair is stubborn, but again, I'm only 2 sessions in!), but I also like the staff. They're all awesome, but this last session, I was running behind. Song made sure I was able to get in and get my services. Been looking to do laser hair removal for a while and finally committed once Laser Away opened since its location is very convenient to my home. The package purchasing process was simple by calling their customer service and indicating what service I was interested in. Then there was a quick assessment video call with a nurse to determine if I would be a good candidate. Once that was done, I paid and was scheduled for my first appointment. The front desk staff at the Tysons location is always friends. And shout out to nurse Keana for always being so upbeat. I enjoy our conversations while she zaps my hairs away. I find the procedure to be relatively painless (Ive done underarms, full legs, brazilian and face so far). Never felt the need to get the numbing creams. I am a black woman who got full body hair removal. I would said for the most part it was a great experience. The people are nice and helpful. I will say that the ads and sales people are a little misleading saying it is permanent. However, it is great for getting most of the hair removed temporarily. You will need to visit 1 to 4 times a year after your initial treatments for "maintenance". This is due to hormones causing hair to grow back. Also, laser hair removal hurts more than waxing. They do have numbing cream that you can purchase and place on any part of your body, but be prepared. I hope this helps. And yes I would do it again. read more

Got a package of 10 laser tattoo removals for small (less than nickel sized) tattoo on wrist. I'm on my 5th treatment and it's barely faded. I bought the package for this location. Had one treatment and then showed up 2 months later for my second treatment, that was confirmed btw, and I was sent away because they no longer have an operational laser tattoo machine at this location. Now I'm at the Tyson's corner location. The second treatment was done by a girl that was so kind. She informed me that it was her last day and that the place was awful to work for. Third treatment a new girl was doing my treatment and she seemed like she didn't know what she was doing. 4th treatment I complained prior to the appt to customer service that the tattoo has not faded at all. Literally it looks the exact same. The girl gave me a decent treatment, but the tattoo now has MINIMAL fading after the 4th treatment. Go in today for the 5th treatment and tell the girl that this should be faded more than it is. She agreed 100% that for the 5th treatment I should be seeing more results. I would like to add that they apparently open at 10a. But don't show up early, you will be given an attitude by the girl that shows up to work at 9:58a and you're sitting in the lobby. I was informed "we don't open until 10a, I'm not sure how you got in." Well I opened the door and I walked in, mam. I told her that if you don't open until 10a maybe you shouldn't schedule your first patient at 10a. She rolled her eyes at me. I'm a paying customer, I don't need an attitude because I showed up 5-10min early for my appt, you're welcome. The attitude is unreal. I would also like to add... Location is everything. I picked this location, because you normally don't have parking issues in Tysons. The location has some street parking and there are public parking garages in the area. The office is surrounded by nice restaurants and blends in well with the other business on the street. If you don't like the look and smell of doctors' offices, then this place is for you. If I didn't know any better, from the outside looking in, I would have thought it was an upscale cosmetic store. The receptionist area was sleek and clean, and I was greeted with a smile. I was late, and my GPS was taking me in circles, so upon arrival, after checking in, I was ushered to the exam room. I had a video consultation with a provider who verified my identity and asked several medical questions. After the consultation, I was ushered to a nice pristine treatment room and met the registered nurse Rachell, who would be doing my non invasive procedure. She also verified my identity and asked about any drug allergies I might have. She also prepared me for what she was about to do. I sit back on an exam table while zapped away, unwanted facial hair. To be honest, the procedure was almost painful. During most of the procedure, I felt nothing, but in places where the hair was thicker, I felt what I would describe as mosquito bites. It hair removal itself only took about 15-20 min, but remember the time depends on what you have to get done. When it was over, I was given a fingertip of sunscreen and some type of ointment to apply to my face, and before leaving the exam room, the nurse gave me aftercare instructions, and she also emailed them On my way out the door, the receptionist made my follow-up appointment. They've cancelled me three times for my laser hair removal and lip filler and their scheduler kept on making excuses that somebody didn't finish her training or somebody overbooked them and blah blah blah. On top of that, their marketing person charged me multiple times for services they haven't provided so now I have to call their credit company, Alphaeon Credit to fix the mess they've made. This is very both upsetting and time consuming. Your money is better off with other companies. STAY AWAY FROM LASERAWAY. Once they get your money, they'll put you on hold as long as they can. I'm hoping this review will change once I get a chance to actually go in for an appointment. I booked an appointment in January via phone. I came in for my appointment in February and they said the receptionist didn't book it correctly so I couldn't be treated. Then I rescheduled for today. Today my appointment was cancelled 30 minutes before because the machine was overheated. The staff at both locations were extremely nice. Unfortunately, I took off and moved things around for both appointments so now I'm only available on the weekend or during the evenings and all of their times were booked.
