I had my first session to treat mostly my forehead back in 10/25/2020. I decided to leave my crows feet and my smile lines alone since I actually like the way they looked. I had Nurse Wendy treat me and she was nothing short of sweet, and phenomenal. She really took great care of me and was able to target the areas I really wanted to fix the most. She was thorough in explaining all of the details and talking to me through the treatment and post care. Just like any injection, you feel the minor discomfort but totally normal. Don't worry," but took no action besides escorting me from one room to another. Later, the receptionist texted me an apology, citing a "medical emergency" and explaining that they only had one nurse available. However, I observed a patient whom the nurse was supposedly dealing with exiting the room as soon as I arrived. When you first initially inquire on their website, you do get bombarded with calls and texts from sales reps/consultants to talk to you about the treatment, but they're very nice and very detailed when explaining things. The staff at this location are also very nice and knowledgable about what they're presenting to you. The laser hair removal wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Underarms were the least painful. The upper lip isn't that bad either, but it is kind of intense when the air puffs through your nose and with the legs, there were definitely some areas that hurt more than others. I've already noticed certain spots where hair doesn't grow on my legs and my underarm hair doesn't grow as quickly as before. This was all after just 1 treatment! read more

The place has gotten dirtier and from my last visit the place smell like sewage. Almost every time I call, my calls never get through. Very frustrating. I ended up calling another location to get my questions answered. The last visit really made me never want to go back again. My apt was at 5:15. Receptionist put me in my room at 5:30. Nurse didn't come in until 5:40. She was annoyed that my arm was on the opposite side of the machine and quickly ask if I was ready. She did not prep or give a look at the treated area. So the person from the location said Shani would call me back because I requested a refund and did not want to do business with a company that operated like this. Do you think I got a call from her? Nope absolutely not. So when I called her and requested a refund she never asked why or apologized for what had occurred. She just gave me a snappy "I'll take care of it (refund) and that was it. No apologies whatsoever. So ultimately I dodged a bullet considering that their reviews say that they don't keep their appointments on time anyway. No wonder they canceled. ABSOLUTE SCAM!!! I went in for a consultation after 1 year has gone by, so I could show them that the $3000 coolsculpting treatment did absolutely nothing despite the fact I have also lost 10 pounds since getting it done. They admitted there were no final results. After speaking with Corporate (Katrina) she completely disregarded my claims of feeling uncomfortable by the previous claims by another client that my nurse said racist things against Asians. Katrina went so far as to say that "Laseraway is a very diverse company" which absolutely does not mean that racism could not exist. She gaslit me and then offered me a facial - which proves they understand I did not receive the services provided but they expect me to pay $1500 for another round of something that DID NOT WORK! Katrina also said that despite the fact I felt as though my nurse (who had allegedly said racist things against Asian people and I am Asian) was unprofessional and did not complete the services I paid for (aftercare for coolsculpting treatment) - that since she was overly chatty it meant that she wasn't racist. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! Not only do their services not work, they will do nothing to make it right! I was talked into buying a package of facials + lasers that I was told work well together. I go for my first appt and my nurse no-showed and I didn't receive a call or any communication so I had to reschedule. Then was told that the facial and laser shouldn't be done in the same appt.. despite that being sold that way to me. Then I show up for my first hydrafacial.. she used alcohol pads to remove my sunscreen and didn't properly cleanse my skin?? I've never had any kind of facial treatment that didn't start with a proper cleanse. Once it was done, there was no moisturizer or sunscreen application. I went back today for one of the lasers and was given a ratty wash cloth to go wash my face in their restroom... during the laser, eyeliner was used on my skin to mark sections for the laser and then removed with alcohol. Once I'm through this package that I unfortunately bought up front, I won't be returning. Feels very amateur. Seems like maybe the only thing they do decent is laser hair removal. read more

Staff: I recently had Kelly and Wendy as my nurses for recent services and they were AWESOME!! Kelly was super chill and conversational as well as very thorough. Wendy was a BLAST!! She understood what I was hoping to get out our the procedure and accommodated to focus on my trouble areas. Procedures: I have done clear and brilliant as well as laser hair removal. They are definitely not relaxing type of procedures. For me, laser hair removal is not too painful, and I don't use numbing cream(I get Brazilian and full legs). I got 8 sessions of laser hair removal, have completed 4 sessions, and already notice a lot less hair returning. And what hair does return is noticeably thinner. The clear and brilliant facial procedure is definitely painful, however results are pretty amazing. I went for large pores and scarring. I only have received 3 services, but had noticeable improvement. Pores shrunk significantly and scarring became more minimal. Facility: clean and glitzy feel. I only wish there was a location closer to me. Pssst!! (Open a Fresno location pppplease) lol. I would definitely recommend Laser Away because of my experience with the procedures I have received. They had a couple of deals that I couldn't resist and I ended up getting a couple of packages. The best part is that they were able to get me scheduled for an appointment the following day! I just went in for my first appointment and everyone was very friendly. Excellent customer service both over the phone and in-person. They're also very informative and flexible. (I decided to change my package while I was there.) The laser hair removal process was slightly more painful than I thought it would be, but definitely bearable. UPDATE: By now, have had 6 or 7 laser treatments of 4 areas of my body. I KNOW what it feels like by now. I should say that overall, I am pleased with my results. HOWEVER, during this final session about a week ago, I WAS BURNED IN MY GENITAL AREA, right above my clit to be exact (did I really just say that on Yelp ), in an area that doesn't actually even grow hair. The pain at the time was so intense that it made me jerk up from the chair. It felt like stabbing fire in a spot where you do not ever want to feel stabbing or fire. I didn't know if there was going to be long term damage or anything like that, so I was scared..Anything happening in that region is scary! The pain got worse for several days and then subsided. I was planning to go in for touch ups eventually, but at least for now I'm too traumatized by the whole ordeal to even think about going near another laser. I contacted them to let them know that I had been burned. The woman I spoke with said she's never heard of this happening before. They scheduled an appointment for me to be looked at by a nurse and told me I could get in contact with someone at the corporate level to file a complaint. At the last minute, I felt uncomfortable about going in there and butterflying to show them my clitoral region (because who wants to do that), so I no-showed for the appointment. I'd also like to add that this same nurse overshot my lip and lasered a single spot under my lower lip (not the right treatment area) during this same appointment, which has never happened before with the other nurses. I really hope that maybe some more training or a review of best practices can prevent this from happening in the future. Outside of this appointment, I've had kind and thorough (mostly) nurses to perform my treatments. I've also had very friendly interactions and good conversations with the women at the front desk and in the call center. I did eventually give in and purchase a xeomin bank (great deals!), and I've had satisfactory results with their xeomin (which is why this is 2 stars and not 1). It's unfortunate that one really awful experience can outweigh all of the good ones. read more
