Off the top, the spa is immaculate with a relaxing vibe. Front desk is friendly and check-in is fast and easy. My appts. feel more like I'm visiting friends because I trust they'll make me look good without upselling or pushing products. Seriously - there's no pressure, just gentle recommendations. The best part is I have natural results because of their conservative approach, which I appreciate. I recently got a C02 treatment to improve my texture and the results were immediate. I originally went to Luna Skin Care and Lash Studio based on all of the positive Yelp reviews and I haven't been disappointed in the seven years that I have been using their services. I went to see Shahdi initially for a consult and I felt so comfortable she performed her magic with botox that day.  We discussed fillers, at the time I was 48 and no amount of creams and serums were going to fix my issues.  I was so impressed with the botox results that I went back two weeks later for Perlane and I could see amazing results almost immediately. I have been looking for my new medspa "home" since moving to the east bay from San Francisco, but after two visits, it became clear that Walnut Creek Aesthetics is not it. The first time, I came in for Botox, which I had done numerous times in the past. My injector gave a fairly long talk about why she likes Dysport better, including because it lasts significantly longer (all of my research/discussion with other providers since then indicates that this isn't true). Although she gave me lots of information on the spot, I didn't feel comfortable getting a treatment I had never heard of let alone done my own research on, so I declined. But she kept pushing, to the point where if I weren't an attorney by trade, I might have felt too nervous or awkward to assert my opinion and provide my reasoning; there was such a strong implication that you would be silly not to do Dysport. After we got through this, my injector tallied up the units of Botox we'd be using, and told me the cost in the room. When I checked out, I was given a price that was more than $100 more. Whether or not it was an honest mistake, the lower price should have been honored, but that wasn't offered. After my results set in, I ended up needing to come back for a touch up, which isn't horrible, but isn't ideal either. Despite this, I thought I would try again given the good reviews here and because I was interested in filler as well. During my second visit, the same injector numbed my lips before I'd had what I felt was a real opportunity to discuss what I was interested in, what I wanted, what I didn't want. In fact she did so much talking and moving without pausing that I had to literally stop the needle in her hand before it reached my mouth. We didn't discuss the different types of filler, we didn't discuss the pros and cons of different amounts, we didn't discuss potentially starting with a lip flip then moving up to filler if that wasn't sufficient. Now, after visiting a very highly regarded med spa around the corner and having a consultation, I understand how many options there are, and that this office must have some kind of deal with Gladerma that makes them intensely push their products over others. The last straw was the injector making me sign a consent to use my images even though I did not want to consent. She said well I won't use without your permission, I said but the contract doesn't say that, and she said don't worry about that, trust me. I'm an attorney and wasn't going to accept that, and we ended up putting an edit in handwriting on the consent form. I am having trouble imagining the vast majority of people in such a vulnerable situation feeling comfortable to do the same. My results for very basic Botox (forehead, elevens) were fine, if a little light. It's the business practices that were questionable enough for me to leave a review. I don't know if the other reviewers had different experiences or if these things simply didn't bother them. They really bothered me, and I would have appreciated being able to read a review like this before spending my money there. I hope others find this helpful. read more

She made me feel very comfortable, which was important because my hair removal was a brazilian (which is an intimate hair removal experience!).
