I recently got a lash lift and the location and customer service were great. The spot has great amenities like heated beds. With this being said, my lashes had very minimal curl following the appointment. My eyelash curler provides much stronger, longer lasting curl. If this was my first time getting a lift, I would think maybe my lashes couldn't hold a lift, but I've had them done at other places and received much more noticeable curl. read more

After a few awful experiences with Lash Lab, I decided that it was time to write a review. I've attempted to book appointments on 3 separate occasions and only one was successful, which I wish I never showed up for. Service 1: In 2021, I received an eyebrow lamination and while I didn't notice at the time, they waxed off a piece of my arch. Once I went somewhere else to get my eyebrows threaded (1 month later), someone pointed it out. I am disgusted with the fact that no one told me at the time. It is 2022, and it is STILL growing back. I have selected a different place to get my lash lifts/brow laminations now and they are extra careful when it comes to waxing my brows now thanks to lash lab. Attempt #2: Due to last-minute changes, I need to get a lash lift asap and I reached out to their customer service number to see if I could make a last-minute apt. My friend had a good experience with their lash lifts, I figured it was worth a shot. However, in order to request a service, you need to submit a form online and hope someone gets back to you. I submitted a form, called them (they almost never pick up the phone), AND texted them only to have them get back to me 2 days later via text. No apology. No acknowledgment of their mistake. Attempt #3: Last night, I booked an apt for an eyebrow lamination for this morning. I hoped the waxing mistake was a one-time issue and since my regular place was unavailable at the time, I gave them another shot. "Luckily", I found their online booking service and booked an eyebrow lamination for 9 am this morning. I did check their hours and noticed they opened at 10 am so I texted/called them to check in an hour before my appointment. They did not get back to me until 20 minutes before the appointment, I was around 2 blocks away by then. Here's what happened: 1. They told me they texted the wrong number the night before to inform me "You booked a receptionist and we don't actually have anyone available today". This doesn't even make any sense. If that was the case, I shouldn't have been able to make any appointments. 2. I was told: "Actually I'm not sure how the appointment was confirmed cause I did send a cancellation yesterday". I will be attaching a screenshot showing this appointment was not canceled, at least on my end. It is currently in my "past appointments" section. I didn't receive a cancellation email either. 3. They offered to book me in for a service later that day....okay... but they offered eyelash extensions. This was not remotely close to what I was looking for. Additionally, the price is around ~2-3x more expensive than the eyebrow service. TLDR: Don't attempt to book an appointment because it's not worth the trouble and frustration. It is very difficult to speak to an actual employee to book/confirm an appointment. If you get the eyebrow lamination, they may wax off a piece of your arch and send you on your way hoping you don't notice. This establishment is inexplicably irresponsible. read more

I've had my lashes done by almost all of the artists and appreciate how gentle, attentive, and professional they all are. My lashes always last longer 3 weeks and I get so many compliments. The materials they use are top quality and never irritate my sensitive eyes. You certainly get what you pay for here. They allow me to rest during the appointment and offer a warm blanket for comfort. Unlike other salons, I never feel rushed or that the artists are rushing to get to their next client. I have found my lash extension spot in the city, and I'm here to stay as long as Katy stays around! I came to them after not being 100% satisfied with the experience I had at the first lash extension salon I visited, and I liked that I could tell them (even before I visited) what kind of style I was looking for and then could further specify down to the shade of extensions that I wanted. I was pretty nervous after my initial experience at the other salon, but Katy was fantastic and did PURE MAGIC on my lashes. She was meticulous and thorough and although I had a very hard time staying still for the full two hours she spent on my full set of lashes, the final product was exactly what I wanted! They look really natural but make my eyes pop and look less tired than they do normally. A huge compliment was when my roommate asked if I was going out for the night randomly one night (after not having seen me for a week or so) because he thought I had put mascara on! I think that is a strong testament to how natural the lashes looked! I also appreciated the cute care packages they gave me after my extensions, which consisted of lash brushes, non-oil-based make-up remover, and a 'lash bath' serum. Definitely all things I needed to maintain my lashes after splurging on them! The only downside was that my eyes were pretty irritated after the extensions. It didn't last very long and I never had any redness or rashiness around my eyes, but I think it was mostly from the under eye tape that was used. I mentioned this before I left and was assured that they would leave a note for the next stylist to hopefully use something less irritating. Stay away from this place and especially the owner Judy. They cannot keep lash artists and they have no idea what they are doing. They continually lie and take your money and then blame you when the service that you paid for falls out or doesn't look right. When they first opened up, they were amazing. I took a long break then went back in 2019 and then again in Summer 2021. In 2021 it was a disaster and all my lashes fell off within two days. Just by looking at their website, and hearing from artists that left, they have gone through at least five lash artists. I highly doubt any of them are multi certified and as Judy claims she is seven times certified and then she doesn't do lashes. Her and Ashley are liars and I have the screenshots to prove it as well as I had to file a police report Because they refused to refund my money after THY canceled my appointment. Beware of the scam... This place are professional scammers. I already know Judy's response will be that I did something terrible a year+ ago, and that she has the right to refuse service to anybody. I was willing to take a chance one more time for a friend's wedding, after receiving a text message from Judy about a holiday special. And then five days after making the appointment, she canceled it yesterday, knowing I would have no time to get my lashes done before the wedding. She continued to argue with me to the point that I had to go to the police because she refused to refund my money. Oh, and thank goodness for that police report to and keeping all of her text messages filled with threats, because the bank reverse the charges immediately when I took the police report to them. Don't listen to her response because if you read all the others she is always making excuses and never takes the blame for her mistakes and her issues. Ashley has now jumped on the hypocrite and liar train because she's in Las Vegas and Judy has continued to employ her as a remote customer service person. TLDR: Amazing salon. Went here for my first ever eyelash extensions and have been back for a few fills. Everyone is highly informed, considerate, sweet and very conscious of the desired look you are going for. HIGHLY recommend, ESPECIALLY if you've never had them before!! I came here about a month and a half or two months ago for my first ever set of lashes. We went with a half fill because I was nervous about it looking too intense. My first reaction was to the phone call. Judy was incredibly nice, understanding of my concerns, reassuring and informative. I made the appointment and when I went in everything was very clean and COVID conscious. The first time I went in, after about a week my eyelashes did start to shed pretty heavily. (Mind you, I'm a new to lashes and I only got about a half fill) and I gave them a call. They immediately made me an appointment for a touch up and went over care with me again. They also discussed the possibility of upgrading to full set and why that might actually help because as theres more lashes its less obvious when some shed. (of course but new to me!) I keep forgetting the girl that's been doing my lashes name but she's always super efficient and considerate of what I want and am interested in. We ended up upgrading to a more full set which I LOVE. I feel like I always come in frazzled and scattered from the outside world but she always sets me at ease and does a fantastic job on my eyelashes. I did end up with an irritation (allergic reaction to the glue, NOTHING that was the fault of the salon in the slightest) and I ended up calling the salon, and once again Judy was incredibly reassuring, informed and considerate. She let me know the different things that could have happened that may have been associated with the lashes and not some other issue. I ended up deciding to let my body give it a try again as often times its just an initial irritation to something new and haven't had an issue since. But they made sure to be incredibly conscientious of the fact that I'd had the irritation earlier. I haven't had any issues since. I got a lash lift and tint which is basically a perm and tint of your own natural lashes. Im the type of person that gets easily irritated by having things such as false lashes/ make up on my eyes so this was a great alternative for me. Very bad experience, sloppy job and did not last. I would not have written a review but I answered their text satisfaction survey and no one bothered to get back to me.. so here I am. I made an appointment for a fill and since I had had my lashes done elsewhere before, they asked me to send photos to be sure they could do it, which I appreciate. I sent the photos and they said that would be fine. When I arrived, they asked me detailed questions about what I wanted and I spoke with the artist. I am not very experienced with lashes so I gave her directions that I wanted something natural, but that I wanted to be sure I had more on the outer corners of my eyes. 45 minutes through the artist told me she would not be able to finish all my lashes because I had too many. I was confused about this since she had been working on me for 45 minutes and had seen photos apparently... could she not have consulted me earlier to figure out a plan that would work? When she finished, my right eye was glued together and it took about 10 minutes for her to unstick it - a very unpleasant experience. I guess she didn't have time, but did not put ANY lashes on the outer corner of my eyes where I had asked her to. I understand that things happen, but that was my only direction. In addition, for days after I could feel clumps of what felt like dried glue, my eyes were irritated, and lashes were constantly falling out. TL;DR: DO NOT COME HERE. THEY WILL CUT YOUR NATURAL LASHES AND CALL YOU A LIAR IF YOU ACCUSE THEM. I don't usually write reviews but this is worth writing because hopefully, this will save someone else's day. Yesterday, I had an appointment with Tiffany to do an upgrade. First thing first, she did not consult me whatsoever and assumed that I wanted cat eyes which was what I didn't want. It shouldn't be my job to make sure my artist consults me. Towards the end of the session, I felt this cold metal tool touch my skin and pull my left lower lashes. Then I heard something cut. It sounded like a haircut. I did not freak out because I thought she was just cutting my extensions that were stuck with one of my lower lashes. I left the salon and got under natural light, only to find out that a couple of my left lower lashes were cut short about an inch. You can tell because the ends are very blunt when usually the end of your lashes are supposed to be thinner. I also compared them to my right lower lashes and they looked completely different. I immediately called the salon and had asked if this was normal. I offered to send them photos or even come back to the salon so they can see better in person. The receptionist did not believe me and denied that Tiffany cut my lashes. She told me to not send them photos because they won't do anything. The receptionist or the artist did not even apologize once. I asked to talk to the manager or the owner and I was informed that one of them will reach out to me. The next day evening, I still did not receive a call. After three calls to the salon and one text, Ashley finally called me back. I spent 10 minutes explaining to her what went wrong and how I want to stay as a client but I didn't think it was fair that they don't take my word for anything. How am I supposed to trust them not to cut my lashes next time? Ashley's response? "Send us a photo". She still didn't believe me. After I sent a photo, all they offered me was $25 out of $250 that I've paid. At this point, it's really not about whether they cut my real lashes or not. This really would have gone differently, if they apologized immediately and promised me that this will never happen again and made me feel comfortable coming back to the salon. Instead, they accused me of being a liar. What I would have wanted was to be treated in a way where I could be excited about being a client. Clearly, they have no interest in retaining me as a client. If this place offered higher levels of customer service, we would be happier and not feel like we have to tell the world about the injustices. Hope this helps someone. read more

Horrible experience with Tiffany​ and their front desk Ashley. I started with Tiffany and wasn't very happy with the last session but decided to give it another try, I showed her a picture and explained what I want, it turned out to be disturbingly ugly. I was very upset so she offered to get it redone, which turned out to be a painful experience. My eyelid constantly​ got pricked and I even doubt she cut off my real lashes instead of removing​ the extensions. My left eye corner went swollen the next day, and the half of the lashes fell off​ in 2 days, then completely fell off on day 4. I called their front desk and explained the situation very politely, Ashley was completely arrogant and impatient. They offered to work with another artist and pay for another full session at $240 with a 30% discount even if I come back in 4 days unless I chose to work with Tiffany again. I don't like to write a negative review but after calling them patiently a few times trying to get this fixed, eventually their arrogance and ignorance got on my nerve. I had the full session a week ago for a few work events and this incident has caused significant​ inconvenience, and they're making it extremely difficult even you just want to get this solved peacefully. read more

These are my first lashes in SF, but would get extensions from different shops in LA. I always experienced some light irritation, but nothing that took away from the results. I feel like an undercover spy about to leak some TOP SECRET confidential information to the general public. If you can't tell from the photos, I have the typical SHORT, STUBBY, STRAIGHT Asian lashes. I have to use my Shu Uemura eyelash curler w/a heavy dose of thickening mascara OR my FALSE EYELASH STRIPS in order to properly frame my eyes. Yet, even w/the extra applications of really dark mascara my real lashes are neither LONG nor LUSCIOUS. Unfortunately, the FALSIES tend to lose adhesiveness during my long nights spent shaking my booty on the dance floor and make their way ALL OVER my face like little black caterpillars. About a year ago, while in HAWAII with some friends, I learned about EYELASH EXTENSIONS. I admired a friend's lashes during the trip and she explained HOW she (being of Japanese decent, as well) was able to get the lashes that I had always wanted. I was too rushed to get them during my stay in Hawaii last June, but this year, I decided gift myself with the early birthday present that I had SOOO wanted last year while I was in Hawaii. Basics -Don't get them wet (humid, moist, damp...) w/in the 1st 24 hours. (my recommendation - no washing of the face, no saunas or steam rooms, no sweating [so no exercising/gym], no steamy showering, no hot and humid dance clubs [ I learned that the HARD WAY :'-( ] and NO TEARS [so don't plan on watching any dramatic movies 24 hours after your extension application *LOL*] ) -Avoid oil based products (mascara, eye creams, cleansers, pencils, eyeshadow, eye make-up remover) for the entire time that you have your extensions. -Avoid applying eye make-up w/in the first 24 hours of your extension application appt. -treat your lashes gently (don't pull, tug, scratch or use towels on them) -expect some to fall out -if you need mascara, they sell non-oil based at Lash Lab I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my extensions. I love them so much that I don't want to use my falsies again, but, it IS a commitment. All of my oil-based make-up & expensive (yet effective) anti-aging eye creams are temporarily on the shelf. I purchased a re-fill after my first appointment (cheaper), but I will probably skip after a while to rest my eyes after my next application, so that I can return to my la prarie and la mer eye creams. My visit to Lash Lab was relaxing, professional and time well spent. The staff was courteous throughout my visit and my lashes came out looking great. I hardly wear makeup and now with the lashes that's one less step to looking and feeling beautiful. I went with the classic look, just enough to highlight my eyes. I understand that they offer various looks depending on what look works for you. The shop is located on Union Street (I believe Cow Hollow area) next to a lot of cute boutiques and eateries. Came in and Ivy worked her magic on what I would call incredibly curly eyelashes. She was lovely and attentive and answered all the questions I had. I would highly recommend the place as well as her expertise touch. They gave me a birthday glow and I "woke up looking flawless" from a great nap. Absolutely terrible!! I went to Lashlab when it was relatively new. Was asked to sign a form NOT TO WRITE BAD REVIEW ON YELP in exchange for a discount. I didn't sign it but the girl who took care of it didn't see. I almost left when they asked me to sign such document. Then, i went on an extension session and clearly the girl was new, took a long 1.5 hours to do a simple extension that my usual place (who was unfortunately full and i was on a last minute need of extension) would do in 45 minutes. She asked me to sign a credit card and i did all that, only to be called and harassed later because they didn't take AMEX (which was the card I gave) and needed me to stop by again to pay with VISA. Or else, i could have sent a check. The payment is one thing but after 4 days, all my lashes were gone. Generally they last 2 weeks in good form and 3-4 weeks spotty. But this time it is clearly 4 days gone. When i went back to pay with a visa, i didn't have any lashes left but they didn't offer anything beyond that anyway. I have been busy and think I should have written this comment earlier, i might have saved some other people's money. I don't know how many of the good reviewers had to sign a non-criticism form. read more
