Absolutely not. I went in and requested a coffin shape nail. Not one of my nails matches the other. I requested long nails, but before the nail tech started dip, I had to point out that she had filed one thumb nail down super short, so instead of replacing it to match the entire set she shaved both down making my thumb nails extremely short and the rest long and not the same shape. It took two hours, my friend didn't even get a chance to get hers done. My nails look horrible, I had to file them myself to get them somewhat presentable. I wanted a design but decided 2/3 the way in, don't trust them and the nails are done so bad the only way to not notice how bad is one single color. I have gotten acrylics/dip for over 10 years but took a break and this was the one time i treated myself. Im neverrr going back. read more

The technician, Lien, suggested a nail style--possibly gel or dip powder, though I couldn't understand her due to pronunciation issues--that she claimed was better than acrylics, with no odor or dust. However, she didn't explain it clearly or offer other suitable, long-lasting options. Instead of acrylics, she applied fake nails with polish on top, assuring me they would last. Shockingly, within a day, the nails started breaking and pulling off, and now all of them need to be redone.Spending $110 for a manicure that didn't even last a few days is beyond frustrating, especially since I now have to pay to fix them elsewhere. Despite how kind and polite, I sound they were hesitant to do my service and then proceeded to not listen to particular's about my cuticles and hard skin. The price of the services didn't meet my expectations. Also they were talking about me in their native language when they couldn't address my concerns. I have seen that they serve beverages and didn't offer me anything. They gave me the impression they didn't want my business. It's crazy to think that prejudice behavior is still alive in 2025. I was looking for a lash lady since I had just relocated and my roommate recommended Sunset Lash & Hair Gallery after she had gotten a lash lift! I messaged the owner Lien over Yelp and she was very quick to respond! I've been getting hybrid fills for weeks now and they always look fabulous! There's a new customer discount and I'd say prices are definitely reasonable in the city. My lashes always look great, have strong retention with Lien and her other lash techs! Lashes mean that I don't have to take time in the morning to put on makeup, so I've been getting them done somewhat regularly over the last couple years. I've tried a multitude of different places (both in Socal/Norcal), and it's hard to find a good balance between quality and reasonable pricing. I selected a Keratin lash lift via Groupon, and had a great experience! The salon is situated in Miu Miu Salon, so it can be a bit confusing to find if you're not in the Sunset often. The entire process took less than an hour, and Lynn did a great job! She made sure to take before and after pictures, and was very gentle with the chemicals around my eyes. It seems that she uses Groupon very often, so payment and redeeming of the voucher was super seamless. The lashes are supposed to last 8-11 weeks, and so far they are holding up very well.
