Today marks a few days after their visit and I really wanted to be sincere about my review and not just write how I felt in the moment. My ratings are either a 1 or 5, I love you or hate you. After this last visit I was disappointed. Service is very important to me, you can have an amazing product but if the customer service is bad I'll take my business somewhere else. I came here sometime last year to get a lash perm through Nikki (the owner) and had an amazing experience. Friends from Facebook recommended her and I glad I did. This time around is quit different. Booking online is really easy and they also make sure to send a reminder email. They do have a policy if you cancel after 5pm the day before your appointment you will be charge a cancellation fee. Which to me is fair, time is money. So my appointment was schedule at 4pm, I showed up around 3:50pm and checked in and the told me to have a seat.... Around 4pm someone came to the computer and ask for my name and this other girl name, apparently the other girl was her client. So I'm waiting and waiting and waiting... It wasn't until 4:36pm that they were ready for me... Do you think I have a reason to be upset? Now I don't think I would be super upset if someone say around 4:10 told me "Hey, we are behind scheduled and running a bit late. I hope that's ok..." NOPE, I only got an apology when I was at the bed.. And I'm pretty sure she could tell I was upset... Now as far the product.. I don't think I'll do the lash perm again, I have such small lashes and you can't tell the difference with the perm. I would try the extensions but I had issues a few years ago with them from 3 different places and no one could figure out why. I don't think I would try the extensions again, now that the prices have sky rocket since then.. In conclusion, I was very disappointed I had to wait that long. They have policy about cancellation but if you can't keep the end of the deal of my appointment is that fair? Yes, I should've walked out but I was looking forward to this appointment and was the only day off... Update - 9/11/18 I finally have a chance to update my review. So a couple days after my review, the owner Nikki message me on yelp and apologized for the situation. And even offer me a free lash lift on my next visit. I told her I didn't want to get a lash lift because I didn't see a difference. I did ask her about individual extensions and voiced my concern that I've done it 3 times and each time I had an "allergic" reaction. I say "allergic" because I went to 3 different places and they couldn't pin point why I felt like death when I had these ons. Nikki advice that we would do a patch taste and see if it happened again since it's been about 5 years since I've done it. So we set the appointment, when I got there she took me in right away and asked more questions about my experience with them. She was very reassuring in the process and also did a follow up to make sure I was ok. Long story short (even though this is really really long) I went in to get a set done and I love it! I've been here 3 times and have been very happy with the volume lashes. Their place is cute and comfortable. Parking is free but it's a little tricky because it is only one way out on keaumoku. My lashes last 4-5 weeks which is the longest I have ever gone without trying to remove them myself. read more

I had an appointment today with Kim, she was absolutely lovely!! When I first arrived I was asked to sit in a very lavish waiting area and fill out a form. Once I filled out the form, they let me know what the service would entail and Kim came over and looked at my lashes. All the girls who worked there were so nice!! They answered all of my questions and were very knowledable and polite. Once we got started, Kim let me know that it would be about 2 hours, she made sure I felt comfortable and began the service. Tbh, it was so relaxing I fell asleep, lol. I also had my brows waxed and they came out nice as well. I've gotten two lash perms here and I'm in love! I think lash extension are too high maintenance for me and not to mention expensive. Lash perms on the other hand are zero maintenance besides not getting them wet for 24 hours after getting them done. If you're hesitant about extensions try a perm instead you will probably fall in love like I did. read more

My friend and I wanted to try getting a lash perm for the first time and we came across lash love. Lash love is a super cute lash salon. The beds were comfortable and they had extra pillows and blankets as needed. I got a lash perm with tint from Mimi and she did a great job! She talked me through each step of the process, which was incredibly helpful since I've never gotten my lashes done before. She also made sure I wasn't uncomfortable or had any irritation with the solutions that were on my lashes. My lashes are definitely more noticeable and I was happy with the result. A little difficult to find but that really can't be blamed on the company. When I came the lady was working on someone else so I waited 10 minutes or so. They did offer me a blanket in case I was cold. Table was pretty comfortable but after 1 hour you can't help but get a little restless. Only reason I'm docking a star is because my lashes didn't come out curled like I thought it would. I did the lash perm and didn't get exactly what I was looking for. If they had just said maybe my lashes aren't long enough to curl to what look I was trying to achieve, I would have considered the extensions instead and maybe would have given 5 stars. read more

Must get volume fills.. I repeat get the volume lashes! Worth every single penny. What's the difference?? Fluffier, softer, fuller. I don't know if it's just me but they don't fall off as fast either. If you're going to get your lashes done its ten times worth your money to spend a few dollars more for the most quality lash product. Also, Lynn and Niki are qualified to apply them. I've been looking for a new eyebrow waxing place to go to for a while. My friend recommended Lash Love and boy was I so glad she did! I first called and made an appointment. They then sent a text informing me where to go and a picture of which door to enter through. Parking is located in the SALT parking complex and validation is provided at the end of your appointment. Since I only got my brows done I was in and out in less than 30min but if your appointment is longer than 30min then validated parking is $1 for 1-2hr parking. When I first arrived I was greeted at the front desk and asked to sign a client form making sure that I was aware of certain waxing precautions. I then met with Krystle who was so kind and professional. She asked me what I wanted to do with my brows and I told her I wanted to get my brows trimmed and shaped more. She told me that my brow shape was already great but if I wanted she could define the arch a tiny bit more. I told her that would be great! The waxing was quick and painless and I honestly loved how they turned out! Usually when I get my brows waxed there are a lot of bumps and redness afterwards, however, after my brows were done there was very little redness and no bumps to be found! A bonus to the already great experience was that I got to lie down as my brows were done. Normally I'm sitting in a chair, which is fine, but at Lash Love I just got to just put my feet up and lie back which I feel added to the experience! My brows were $15 (not including tip) which is super affordable! I cannot stop raving about Lash Love! It is my new favorite eyebrow waxing place! LOVE my experiences here from start to finish! I purchased a Groupon for 2 eyelash perms at the start of the year and have continued to return for services. It's extremely easy to make an appointment, I receive text messages to confirm and am warmly welcomed each time I've gone in. The shop is on the second floor of a walk up building on King street just off of Keeaumoku. You'd NEVER expect what a beautiful space you're in store for when you park. They've done such a fantastic job creating a welcoming shop from the decor to the amenities. To perm my lashes, my eyes are closed for an hour so of course it's the perfect opportunity for nap time. She moves around me and handles me so delicately that I am barely even aware she's there. I add a paraffin hand treatment and face mask each time which adds to the entire relaxing experience. The staff is very friendly and the place is very clean we will start with that. My friend and I came here for a girls eyelash day while my friend was on a much needed vacation. I got a perm (I chose not to do too extreme but I told her noticeable). My lashes were curled completely straight up towards my eyebrows tickling my eyelids. They are finally, almost 3 weeks later, calming down a bit. I do really like them now but not sure I'd do it again. My best friend on the other hand spent $220 on a full set of signature eyelashes. Two days after half of her eyelashes were falling out all over, they look super spaced out and noticeable (not in a cute way) Unfortunately my friend was returning to the mainland and we contacted lash love but they said they could not do anything for her. I feel like there's way better places to go to get your lashes done were you're not going to spend an enormous amount of money and get poor quality work. read more

She made me feel very comfortable, so easy to talk to and I am MORE than satisfied with my lashes. She remembered the length I had before I even started coming to them and its perfect. Nice modern lash salon. They're devoted to just lashes...which lets you know that they have one focus and they are perfectionists at it. I got a lash perm and went for the curl style instead of the lift. The procedure lasted about 45 minutes. I got the lash perm with keratin. I'm hoping the keratin will help strengthen my lashes. The bed and atmosphere was so comfortable I snoozed off a couple times. (Sorry if I was snoring ) Jolie was very gentle with my lashes. (I've been to a place where it felt like they were plucking my lashes off ). She was also very nice and answered any questions I had. I was very satisfied with the outcome and it looks really cute! I don't like mascara so this is perfect for me. I also took advantage of the "first check-in" on Yelp discount of 10%. They do validate so parking ended up being just a $1. This is a SUPER LATE review! I've been going to Lash Love for a few months now, and I never leave disappointed! I've had my lashes done by Nikki, Lynn and Shinell. All three ladies are great, and super helpful and sweet! PROS: - All ladies know what they're doing. I usually go to Nikki or Lynn and get volume fills. I've never had any pain while getting my lashes done and have never experienced any discomfort. - Great price and worth it - Quick but quality is NEVER skimped - Final look is fluffy - Consistent - Easy to pay (no added fees for credit cards!) - Easy to book online (via Yelp!) - Lasts a long time (I would go in 3.5 - 4 weeks for a volume refill) - Flexible: I once asked if they could do a custom look and even allowed me to bring in my own sensitive glue because I have sensitive eyes CONS: - Can sometimes be difficult to get an appointment (these ladies are obviously in high demand -- you'll find out why!) Currently, the ladies are moving to a new, upgraded space in Kakaako (Nikki putting in that work!) I'm a little sad though because I've had to take off my eyelash extensions recently because I was experiencing red, itchy and severely swollen eyes after getting my lashes done. Initially I thought it was the glue which is why I switched glues, but the problem persisted. I now think that I may be allergic to the lashes themselves. :( The ladies are so sweet and helpful, and even when I had my allergic reaction, they were so concerned and tried their best to pinpoint why it was happening. I have NEVER had eyelash extensions before, but I've been wanting to try it for awhile. I saw a groupon deal, but once I yelped the Groupon vendor, I was not too keen on spending $65 for a poor experience. So I started scouring Yelp for a great place to try. I have known a few people who have weirdly long eyelash extensions or weirdly clumpy ones that fray and clump after a few weeks, so I wanted to make sure I didn't skimp in quality. Lo and behold, I found Lash Love. It had a Yelp Deal (awesome); a cute website attached (also awesome) and it says to text to make an appointment (super awesome). So texted I did, and got a same day (yeah, you read that right, same day) appointment. The place was not too hard to find, but parking was kind of frustrating. However, the parking attendant was SUPER nice, and although I parked about a block away, it wasn't too bad. When I got in there, man oh man, was I SHOCKED by how absolutely adorable the place was. I mean, the building is an older building (you know the one, with Sushi Sasabune) and walking upstairs was a little freaky, but the inside was like a whole other world. I was greeting immediately by Lyn, and even though I was a little late (5 minutes) she was so sweet and told me she'd be right with me. A few minutes later, I was already on the table. Because I am a lash virigin, Lyn helped me choose the right fullness and length for me. She has color options and several different lengths, curls and fullnesses to choose from. She told me the parking is usually pretty empty, but sometimes during lunch (my appointment was at 12:30 PM) the lot can get full, but it empties quickly because people are usually in and out (good to know) so it's best to plan ahead or get an early or late appointment (also good to know). The application process also made me nervous because I had heard that lash application can be painful from the glue. However, NO burning, NO pain and NO pokiness. All the horror stories are myths when you come here! And they came out awesome! It's a little weird when I look in the mirror, knowing I have no makeup on, and seeing how long they look. I LOVE THEM! I decided to get lash extensions for my upcoming trip to Coachella so I made an appointment with Lash Love and was excited to try this place out. The location is convenient and the ambiance is relaxing. I was walked through the choices and prices and told what would be good on me. I leave for my trip tomorrow so I had them done this past Saturday (since they are closed Sunday and Monday) and already, the lashes are starting to fall of and it has only been the third day.. I woke up this morning with lashes all over my cheeks and the right side is already looking sparse. I can't call them since they are closed for two days straight and I'll already be leaving on my trip by the time they reopen. Although I followed the exact directions I was given, on the second day, a couple of lashes had fallen off on my left side. Also, I'm not sure if she used too much glue or what not, but my left eye was extremely red and a bit swollen the day after I had them done with my right eye being tender as well. The overall experience there was great, but the results were extremely disappointing. Especially since they looked so beautiful after they were done. I will not be coming back to this place and will be calling them to let them know what happened so hopefully they can stop this from happening to future costumers. read more
