It's cheaper and there are more options close to home there. I was in SF instead, so had to go to a spot here. I found Lash M after looking around. I made an appointment more or less the day before by reaching out thru Yelp Projects / Messages. I think the person who did my lashes both times was named Christy? I can't recall for sure, but she does speak canto. With my crappy chinese, I can still more or less understand her and speak my chinglish. She is great. Very nice and professional. She remembered how I liked my lashes when she did my fill. Quality wise, the lashes were awesome. My fill is still passable almost a month later. Definitely less shedding than the cheaper SJ locations I've gone to. Pricing above is with tax and tip, so I'm not sure what the actual base price is. I just know for the OG service, I got like 15% or 20% off. If I have time, this is walkable from home, so also very convenient. I wish they sold packages at a cheaper price. I have been going to August for a couple of months now and I cannot recommend her enough! She is always warm and welcoming! listens to my requests very well! I come about every 4 weeks for a full natural set and I plan to come back as long as August is working!

I've been coming to August for several months now, and I'm so glad I found her! She's incredibly sweet and has such a light hand during the application. I've genuinely almost fallen asleep during appointments because it's that comfortable and relaxing... What I really appreciate is how open she is to making adjustments to my lash map. She listens to what I want and makes sure I'm happy with the results every time. The retention is also excellent - by the time I come back for a refill in week 3, most of the lashes are always perfectly intact (see photos!) If you're looking for someone skilled, accommodating, and gentle, I can't recommend August enough :)

August has been doing my lashes for almost 2 years now. She is always so precise when doing my lashes. I love how they are very accommodating when it comes to my busy work schedule. Very fast response time, clean & cute inside. This is my second time here, and compared to other places I've been, they put on the eye tape very gently and it's actually very comfortable lying down. They play calming music you can fall asleep to. Highly recommend! read more

My lash extensions looked nice in the first week, but once my natural lashes started falling out I saw how poorly they were done. Nearly all of the extensions were glued onto clumps of at least 3 or 4 of my natural lashes. Obviously this is problematic and causes damage to the natural lashes. Causes weight and drag on the natural lash as well as pulling from uneven growth. The bulk of the lashes in the middle were glued together. multiple natural lashes that have visibly fallen out but can not be removed because they are glued together in mash of other lashes. Very bummed. Pretty for a week but now my lashes are completely wrecked. read more

I got my lashes done for Beyond AND I AM SO HAPPY WITH WHAT I GOT. I showed my lash tech the photo inspo and we worked around it to fit my eye shape better. I love how she understands my eyes are on the droopier side and to not lash the last few lashes & use longer towards the center. I think we went with D curls and I could not be happier with the results. I've been washing my face really roughly and they're still so cute and full. I wish I got her name but she was the sweetest person ever. Def will be my new go to lash tech & lash style. read more

MAY IS AN ANGEL!! She is amazing & each experience i have with her is great as well as with the front end ladies. I had a previous wispy set May had done today I came back for a fill but wanted a much fuller set & showed her a reference photo. No problem! I had my lashes done by Kayla couple days ago. This is the first time meeting her and I must say she's friendly and very professional. I like that her hands were steady. I decided that I wanted to "finally" get some lashes; you know, look more like a grown woman. I Googled, "Best places for lashes near me," and Lash M popped up. Yelp showed 5 stars & really good comments. So, I bit the bullet and made a reservation. I showed up, and this place is super clean the staff was very accommodating and patient, given I was a lash virgin Kiki performed my service, and she was AWESOME and double . The entire process took about an hour and a half, and it was the most relaxing time of my life. Hell, I would suggest getting lashes just for some good ass sleep. Ahem! I digress. I LOVE my lashes: Natural/Wispy! Worth every cent! Oh but the best part, I love that Kiki wasn't chatty. That girl handled her business. read more

Ever since I moved to SF I had to find a new lash place and let me tell you it's very difficult to find good lash artists! Then I found Lash M and I'm very pleased and happy with their services. Everyone is always so kind, accommodating and honestly a joy to talk to. They do a really great job making your lashes look full and also more natural than other places. Their products are also great quality and dont feel or look super synthetic. I'm a returning customer :) so if you're looking for a new spot I definitely recommend coming here. read more

Omg super pleased #obsessed with my new hybrid lash extensions with a subtle pop of blue and pink. I didn't even know she made such a cute video of my eyelashes. I was trying to capture in a selfie video later that night but they didnt show up. Maybe its for the better anyway. Don't want to be boring but don't want to look like a freak either. May is an artist! Thank you! Pretty fast. Eyes didn't sting at all. Lasted like 3 weeks last time. Reasonable prices. And they give you the cutest little lash brush with a holder. I had a great experience here at Lash M. They are so responsive and on time! You may even get to start early and/or end early! My stylist name was Julie and she did everything in 1.5 hours exactly. Can't wait to show them off on my trip this weekend. The prices here are also reasonable which is great. They have a referral program and will give full products away for reviewing! Their little studio is so cute and have plenty of background to take photos of the amazing lashes. read more

I came here a month ago for hybrid extensions. I haven't been back for a refill and my lashes still look pretty good! I'd say it looks like a classic set at the moment since quite a few lashes have fallen off. My lash technician showed m a few pictures to make sure we're aligned with what I want. She took her time putting each extension on and I think because she was so careful, I still don't have any clusters a month late. I've been to a few other places in hopes of finding a go to spot and I think I have finally found it here! The issues I had with other places but not here are: - clustering 2-3 week after my extension - sore lower eyelids because they taped my eye down weird and it was hurting for 1 whole day. read more

This was my first time getting lash extensions! We went with the Natural one since it was my first time. Normally mascara is the only part of the makeup routine that I skip. Even when I go out for the night I find it to tedious to do. After the lash extension, my eye lashes are beautiful & just the way I like it! I won't have to put mascara or curl ever again! The experience was so relaxing and gentle! Again, I've never done this before but now I think I may be hooked since it was a such a great time! May was very attentive to me & asked a few times if I was doing alright! Which I really appreciated. The room was beautiful with a classy theme. This is the best place. I will absolutely be coming back. I had never gotten lash extensions before, but I wanted them for my wedding. Well, I got a little excited and ordered the package that was more full than I wanted (I wanted it to look pretty natural). I've been wanting to get lash extensions for years, but finally took the plunge last weekend. I went in without knowing what to expect, but the entire experience was very pleasant and relaxing. They kept on checking in to see if I was cold and needed a blanket, which I found to be very thoughtful. The process took about 1 hour and my lashes came out full while still looking natural. I can't say how much I love LashM! I've been a loyal customer for almost a year now. What initially impressed me about LashM was the thoughtful consultation staff provided at the get-go before your service. They sit you down and talk you through your different style and length options. For first time lash extension customers, this is truly so helpful in understanding how lashes work for different eye shapes! Also, you can always count on a guaranteed follow-up appointment as there is always a technician available. Personally, I have loved the opportunity to be lashed by each of their technicians. They have their own unique ways of making you feel taken care of! Aside from the wonderful staff, the salon itself is so beautifully put together with a gorgeous flower wall upon your entrance. Each station is privately separated from one another with comfy beds, and wait for it... cozy blankets upon request! There is always subtle, soothing music playing in the background which makes relaxing super easy. Love, love, love LashM and highly recommend! read more

I've been getting my lashes done for years and my old salon has really declined in the quality of their work ever since the pandemic so I decided to try out Lash M. I've been here a few times now and May does an amazing job at lash extensions! The lashes stay on for weeks and there is never any itching, pulling, or clumping on my lashes. She's also very gentle and I never have any burning or irritation during my appointment. read more

I do not recommend getting a Gel-X mani here. First, the recommendation I was given didn't make sense. My natural nails had grown out pretty long, so I asked for hard gel. Multiple staff members recommended Gel-X extensions instead for the design I wanted. My natural nails were only slightly shorter than my reference image, but I wanted to trust their expertise. I was wrong. I chose the shorter extension length and it ended up being the same length of my natural nail before the tech cut them, so the extensions added nothing and I unnecessarily had my nails cut. Second, the application quality doesn't match the price. There are ill-fitting corners throughout. Rather than sizing up to an extension that fit my nail bed, the tech filed down my side walls to force the smaller one to fit, which hurt. One extension on my index finger is visibly crooked. I pointed it out and was told it looked straight - looking at it again and in photos, it's clearly off-center. There's also still cured gel on my skin, which is a contact dermatitis risk. Third, the pricing was not transparent. I paid $115 for a Gel-X removal and Gel-X manicure. The pricing on the website and at check-in is confusing, and when I showed my inspiration photo up front, no one quoted me. The tech told me the price, $155, only after she had already started the design. I got it down to $115 by dropping the star flakes, which were $40 on their own. I want to pay techs fairly for their work, but $40 for star flakes isn't worth it. To be fair, there were genuine positives. I called to let them know I was running 10 minutes late and the staff were completely understanding about it. And when I asked for a swirl cat eye design, my tech told me upfront that it was above her skill level rather than overpromising. She still gave it a shot, and I really appreciated that honesty. Overall, I can't recommend this place. I got a full consultation on the look I was going for (natural) and selected thickness, length (just slightly longer than my natural lashes), curve, and style. They did not have mink, only synthetic, but they still appeared very light and natural. They also asked about my allergy history, etc, which I appreciated. I had a wonderful experience with May at Lash M. Her place is very clean and welcoming. Her price is super reasonable. May is a very friendly, gentle, and professional individual. Her hand is so gentle that you won't feel any uncomfortableness while she is doing the eyelash extension. The entire eye lash extension process took about 1.5 hours. I've been getting my lashes done for years and she is the only one who can do a 3-week fill in an hour or less.
