I've been getting lash lifts for over 6 years and have never had an experience like this. I have also had no problems with lift and tints. I did tell the technician beforehand as a heads up that my eyelashes were stubborn and straight and the perm might need to be left on for slightly longer. This is what other technicians have told me, and it has totally been fine in the past. I do want to add that the lift turned out totally fine and there wasn't any issues with the actual technique. However, when we reached the tint portion of the service, things really went downhill. First of all, out of all the lift and tints I've had done, the tint is usually put in while the rubber pads are still intact. She took everything off, then proceeded to do the tint. I thought this was strange but whatever. Within about 30 seconds of the tint being applied, it got into my eye and caused intense, excruciating burning. I was in significant pain and asked for it to be removed, but it was not handled with any urgency. I have a very high pain tolerance and this truly felt like I was being blinded. The technician was getting frustrated and kept telling me to relax, which was very frustrating considering how much pain I was in. She then proceeded to clean my eye at a snails pace. The situation felt unsafe and honestly alarming. I kept asking if there was a water fountain or sink I could rinse my eye in and she dismissed me multiple times. What made this even more concerning was that during my service, the technician left me mid treatment and began performing a Brazilian wax on another client in the same open space. There was no privacy for either of us, and I was left unattended while dealing with a chemical reaction in my eye. This was extremely uncomfortable and felt highly unprofessional. After all of that, the tint was on my eyes for a total of maybe 30 seconds before I was in blinding pain. Despite this, I was still charged $40 (just for the tint). I was happy to pay for the lift which was $75. When I asked her if I really had to pay for the tint considering everything that happened, she said it was my fault because "my eyelashes were small" and this doesn't happen to girls with long eyelashes. I want to iterate again that I have NEVER had an issue with lift and tints in the past, and I have had over 20 of them. The tint also got all over my hands and stained my clothes, which I cannot get out. There was no acknowledgment or effort to make this right. Overall, this experience felt unsafe, unprofessional, and poorly handled from start to finish. I would strongly caution others before booking here. read more

Go here for your brows but skip the lash lift! I was pleased with my eyebrow threading but the lash lift was very uncomfortable. My eyes burned multiple times, the chair was very uncomfortable for my neck, and the whole appointment took two hours (?) because the technician kept switching between clients all while not washing her hands. read more

Don't waste your time! I had my lashes lifted on Friday, 3/28 with Maria. I've gotten my lashes lifted before at two other places and had no issues. This place was unprofessional and unresponsive. I sent them an email on Friday night and I still have not heard back from anyone. This place was also unsanitary, she never once washed her hands or used hand sanitizer. Waste of my time and $75 plus $10 tip. read more

Today, I went to Lash O Holics for the first time and had the best experience! #1 it's clean and a cute space. I've tried a couple different places in Bucktown and Wicker for lash extensions and they've been fine but I just haven't been impressed. Anna did my lashes at LOH. She doesn't speak much English but she was still able to suggest a natural lash style that gives me that no need to wear mascara without looking like a caterpillar. Perfect for my trip to Mexico! Also there was no chemical odor or burning when I opened my eyes. I was so relaxed, I took a nap during the process. She was so gentle and precise! I also had a bikini wax with Fatima. She and her husband run the place. She was AWESOME! Very thorough and professional. She threaded my lip and eyebrows. The first time I ever had my eyebrows threaded I was in India and I loved it, no pain. I've since had them done here in the US and found it horribly painful! I've been reluctant since then. Fatima suggested we thread my lip vs waxing. I felt comfortable having her do my brows too. She did a fantastic job and no pain at all, a true pro! I got my brows, sideburns, Brazilian, and eyelash extension all in one stop. Fatima is great with threading eyebrows, I literally only go to her with my brows. This place must be new but don't sleep on it. The shop is clean and aesthetically pleasing. I was able to get an appointment very easily. I used a groupon for a half-leg waxing. Shazia was who took care of me and she was lovely. She's been doing this over 20 years and it shows. We were done in 20 minutes. They included a cute little gift bag with some earrings, a spoolie that comes with its own case, and some chocolates. I definitely will be coming back. read more
