    Box braids

LaShanna is an extremely talented hair stylist. She was quick, detail oriented and extremely kind. Honestly these are the neatest/nicest best box braids I've ever had. I would HIGHLY recommend her shop. Thank you LaShanna God bless

Im sure you can see the knots.

I wanted to get knotless braids since I'd heard so many good things about them online. When I scheduled my appointment I specifically asked for knotless braids. After I was done at the shop I didn't really pay attention to the braids since I was tired and just ready to go home. I paid $250.00 plus tip for knotless braids but when I got home and actually looked at the braids l realized these braids had knots. I was was shocked. It was late, so first thing the next morning I called the shop to ask why I had regular box braids when I specifically asked for knotless braids. Update: I was able to reach the owner LaSahanna and we worked out an amicable outcome, and lm still rockin my beautiful box braids. Thank you LaShanna for being a stand up business owner!

LaShanna is the Belizian bomb diggity. Gave her second shot and got my braids updo done. Always professional and on time. Love how she appreciates all culture and welcomes them to business. She is a very humble stylist and has been braiding for almost 20 years so she knows how to read her clients. I was trying to incorporate a lighter look and so she did a great mixture of two colors. She took care and only 3 hrs for my braids, but then again I got a small head. Braids were tight and neat and she made sure all was good before I left out. Thanks for fabulous service.

Just got my hair done for the 2nd time at LaShanna's Braid Parlor and I am very pleased. The first time I got twbraids with bun in the back and the second time I got twist. It's very easy to schedule an appointment. The prices are posted on the wall, it is very affordable. The service is very professional. All of the braiders are very good. The shop is clean. I really appreciate that my braider did not stop and start.. I've had this happened in the past with other salons.. if they were receiving text messages.. so annoying. Things I didn't like, street parking only. It is cash only. You must bring your own hair. My last style my braider start doing box parting of my hair but at the crown she switched to diamond patterned which makes it more difficult to style, but overall I still love it. I do recommend this place and I will be back!

I called LaShanna several times before I came in. She was professional and patient on each occasion. When I finally got to the shop (without an appointment), I had minimal wait. The lady that braided my hair was amazing, professional, quick, and pain free. I will definitely visit the shop again.

Umm, I was hesitant about giving a review because I really don't like to give bad ones but I have to be fair and accurate. I wanted to get tree braids (which I haven't worn in awhile) for my birthday. I decided to try this place out. While the establishment itself is nice, I can't say so much about the service. The owner said I could expect for tree braids to take 6 hours to do. Well instead it took 12 HOURS! Never mind that in the middle of my hair being done, the lady did someone else's braids and I waited an hour and a half for that. I was the last one in the shop and I got that at 9am. Didn't leave until almost 9pm. Plus, it's only been a week and I already had ten braids fall out of my hair. I cringed when they were beading my edges because those usually come out first, with my edges. And I paid a pretty hefty amount to get them done. Can't say if I'll be back or not though.

    So neat! Love my hair

I should have wrote this review awhile ago. I've been coming to LaShanna's for the past 4 years and they have never let me down. I started coming here because I was looking for a reliable braider after someone flaked on me last minute. I needed my hair done before Coachella. (This was the original year Bey was supposed to perform before she got knocked up). I was not about to be an anyone's desert with my natural hair getting dried out. Anyway I digress, I sent LBP a message via Yelp and they replied within a few hours letting me know they could accommodate me. I have had my hair braided there ever since then. The shop is always clean and set up nicely. Everyone is always on time and no waiting around. Everyone is friendly, very personable and professional. I have had my hair braided by Brandi and Sadè and they are both excellent! I'm a regular there now and my hair stays on point!

Yes it does cost more than the usual cost "in the area for synthetic small". Totally worth the wait, cost and time FOR THE QUALITY you receive. Highly recommend sade. The location you can spot while driving. I did not see parking other than street parking-the time is limited so be careful not to get a ticket. No wifi was made known to me BUT there is television the entire time. There were males, females, elderly and children being serviced while I was there. The shop itself was clean, the work area roomy and bright, the restroom-clean and the shop phone for service inquiries WAS NON-STOP. thank you sade-I love my hair.

I was messaging LaShanna through yelp and she gave me pricing and timing. I went in on a busy Friday afternoon right before closing. She was very friendly and welcoming. It took about 15 minutes for Brandy to braid my hair and she did an amazing job! I love my braids and I will definitely be back.

I've been receiving professional braiding services from this establishment for a few years now. I am always satisfied. Always! This most recent experience was no different. Liz was professional, courteous, and fast. I love that ALL of the braiders in this shop are friendly, too. Other braiders in the shop have done my hair and I usually go to LaShanna. I'm here to tell that I'm comfortable with any one of these professionals doing my hair. I am particularly pleased with the way Liz braided my hair a few days ago. Thank you Liz!!!

Yuji was my hairdresser, and he was so kind, precise, and skilled with my haircut. When I first walked in, I thought, "ah this really is a no frills hair salon," and I'll admit I was a little nervous since it was my first time and I didn't know what to expect. As soon as I sat down, my nerves went away. Yuji was so gentle and attentive, and I felt really well taken care of. My appointment lasted about an hour and included a wash and cut. Parking is validated for up to two hours, which is definitely enough time. I was so happy with my results. I truly don't know how Yuji creates such magic with his hands! I'll be coming here from now on for my haircuts. Please show Yuji and Hair Craft your support by leaving a generous tip. An establishment like this that truly gives you high quality results for such a generous price deserves to be met with gratitude and good tips. Too many salons are charging an arm and a leg for a basic trim these days, and Hair Craft is not one of them. There were only 1-2 stylists working during my visit, so please be patient and make sure to book at least three weeks in advance. When I booked, they were already scheduled out for three weeks, and I overheard them telling other callers the same thing. Thankfully, it was absolutely worth the wait. I can't wait to come back and will definitely be booking with Yuji again. Thank you Hair Craft for such a wonderful experience!!!

I always need my hair thinned out, but my previous cut wasn't thinned enough, so I ended up wearing my hair half-up for the past four months. Celine completely transformed it! She gave me beautiful layers, thinned my hair exactly the way it needed, and added curtain bangs that frame my face so nicely. My hair feels much lighter, more manageable, and the cut looks great both down and styled. The price is definitely $$$, but for me, I was desperate for a hair remedy. Celine did a stupendous job, and I'm so happy with my haircut. I would definitely recommend her. She knows what she is doing.

I had a very disappointing experience with this salon…read more I booked my perm appointment in advance, drove over an hour to get there, and arrived early as they requested. However, when it came time to be seen, I was told it had been cancelled. It took multiple receptionists to realize that one of them had accidentally canceled it. The problem is that I was never notified. I didn't receive a cancellation email or text despite having notifications enabled, and no one could explain why I wasn't contacted. If I had been notified, I wouldn't have wasted over two hours driving. What was most disappointing was how the situation was handled. There was no tangible effort to make things right--no attempt to fit me in, prioritize me for another appointment, or offer any accommodation after I had cleared my schedule to see them and spent so much time traveling and waiting. I understand that mistakes happen, but unfortunately, I left feeling like my time wasn't valued, and I can't recommend a salon that handles scheduling errors this way. Additional note: My appointment was originally in August, but I rescheduled for July. I received a cancellation email for the August booking, but never the July one because I didn't cancel it. Edit: They claimed to have offered to schedule me with the soonest available appointment, but what's to guarantee that my appointment isn't mistakenly cancelled again? What's your new procedure to ensure my time isn't wasted? Will I receive an email notification this time? I can also schedule at home for your "soonest available appointment," so ultimately I was still offered poor customer service.

While I'm happy with how my perm turned out, the salon was overbooked. I completely understand stylists working with other clients while hair is processing, but my digital perm took about 6 hours, with a lot of waiting when I was clearly ready for the next step because my stylist was occupied with other clients. He was called on by the front desk at least 3 times that new/different clients were ready for him. My friend and I were both there for over six hours--surprisingly, her full highlights took even longer. I was also confused by the pricing. During the consultation, I was told that a certain hair length would put the perm at around $400, while keeping the length I wanted would make it closer to $600. That was already surprising considering it was only about a 2-inch difference in length for roughly $200 more. But then my hair was cut to approximately the shorter length anyway, and my final price was still $550. I'm not really sure how the pricing was calculated based on that. My friend's highlights were $500, even though her hair is shorter than mine, and her hair ended up looking surprisingly similar to how it did before. Between both of our services, the pricing felt very high for the overall experience. I do want to emphasize that I'm satisfied with how my perm looks and appreciated the care my stylist took while he was actually working with me. Unfortunately, between the six-hour appointment, the amount of waiting, and the price, I'm not sure the experience was worth it for me.
