They have a photo album with real client photos which help make the decision easier. I opted for mink lashes for a more feathery look and lighter in general, they put less pressure on my natural lashes. Mink lashes also come at a higher cost...but so worth it! They just feel so natural. The goal was to not feel like I was wearing a caterpillar on my eyes. Let's talk about the ambiance, very zen like. The decor is very posh and elegant. They play relaxing music, the space is completely quite and temperatures set to comfortable. The process is completely pain free. The staff was so professional and kind. The front desk very attentive offered me a glass of wine upon arrival. There is a whole team that takes care of you. Each technician specializes in a specific area. I was prepped by one person, who made sure I was cozy by providing a warm blanket. And later another individual began the process of meticulously applying each lash patiently. Horrible experience. From the start to finish. Tech knew I was not happy with the job and did not take her time to fix. Ask that I come back to address what could of been addressed then and there. Front desk lady (I guess Manager) knew I was happy and didn't care but wanted me to tip the lash tech for work I did not like. You should not treat people differently who choose to use your discount incentive. Disgusting experience and felt as if I was cheated out of my money. Your email doesn't state anything about Happy Hour being during certain times. I can feel the clumps and the extensions are not close to the root. I feel like my own lashes are not the same anymore. Nobody asked me ahead of time what I wanted. So I paid for short mink lashes I didn't want because that's the obvious more expensive option. I got eyelash extensions for the first time at Lashes on 5th - I bought a Gilt City voucher thinking this place would be amazing since it was almost sold out. Upon entering the salon is beautiful, on the second story in a lovely building on 5th Ave. When booking my appointment I asked specifically for Camilla because I heard and read reviews of her being the best of the best. Flash forward half way through my appointment, I noticed and could tell by the change of hands and chit chat that Camilla was no longer doing my lashes and had moved onto someone else! I asked a question about my appointment while laying down to be able to tell if it was her or not and the entire room went silent. Seriously so awkward as my eyes are taped shut, (cute, right?) I immediately expressed how disgusted and disappointed I was with the service after I had asked to book with her. They apologized and acted like it was swept under the rug, I really felt so embarrassed. I gave Lashes on 5th a second chance and booked another appointment and yet they failed to surprise me that I booked for a 2 week touch up/fill in and she charged me for a full, new set - she played dumb and acted like I made the mistake. It's the first day and the product looks great however time will tell if the bar reviews are accurate or a reflection of poor upkeep. The front desk girl impressed me. The owner did not because if she was savvy, she wouldn't have cut off the free massage with the service. Original price 180. Now with Groupon customers she charges 11$ extra as of 3 weeks ago. To hook the customer, the first experience has to hook them. Camila was extremely quick with her work and to be fair it looks fine. I would not return to her for 5 reasons. When I first entered and had to fill out paperwork and then asked to use the restroom, someone asked how many more people they had to see like what they were doing was a chore. When I used the bathroom, Camila rushed me. I proceeded to the table and wanted to charge my phone and take my shoes off since I read on yelp a foot massage was included. I was not notified beforehand this ceased to be a service unless requested before. 45 minutes into the service, Camila had two co-workers gathered around giggling and gossiping in another language which I didn't appreciate because they were right over my head. Completely unprofessional. The product felt heavy to me once completed however looked appropriate as a final result. In the front it's typical to get a care kit with a brush to maintain the look however they ran out weeks ago and it was another display of poor upkeep. The establishment itself is to be found next to a trendy restaurant, under an awning, get buzzed in and take elevator instead of stairs to 2nd floor. The ceilings are ornate and the chandeliers are well kept up, the place has a gorgeous and upscale ambience. Bathroom is clean however garbage overflowing and apparently under checked on. All the appearance of a 5 star establishment however they don't have their customer service at a strategic level. Wine out in a chiller with clean wine glasses for those who have to wait however not offered if not necessary. Too many opportunities for improvement to return. A complete missed opportunity on their end to secure a repeat customer. read more

I used to go to extend but just found their prices too high. And I liked their work but didn't love it. To set the tone for how much i had riding on lashes on 5th, i had just cut all my hair off a couple days prior and was rocking my first TWA ever. I needed lashes that were enhanced but not unnatural looking, and that would complement my new look. They gave me EXACTLY that. I have very curly lashes that are about 9/10 length (I'm nigerian, so all my hairs curly/coily). I got mink, J-curl, lengths 9-11, in the splash shape and they're PERFECT. The eyelash tech took her time and I sprang for a 20 minute foot massage (highly recommend!) She really seemed like she understood my issue and wanted to help. So, I went back after almost 1.5 weeks since my lash issue and Y really did a great job fixing my lashes. I always wanted to get my lashes done & my roommate recommended this place. I bought a Groupon for 100 lashes @ $72. They're extremely helpful when you go in, they show you a book of lashes & help pick what you want. They give you advice on which you should get based on your eye shape and size. I have big eyes that are set kinda far out so they recommended the C curl and length 9-11. The process was a but scary because I had never done it. You lay there for over an hour with your eyes closed. I have very sensitive eyes so my eyes were watering quite a bit. However they do offer a sensitive glue which I would probably do instead next time (she just said it makes the lashes not last as long) A few eye lashes fall out here and there but it is 1 month and 1 week later and I still have a little less than half of my lashes left. The trick is to take as much care of them as possible & by that I mean doing the least to them! I think bc I only got them wet 1 time and I never pick or touch them they lasted this long. The lady at the front desk was a pleasure, she helped me pic out the length, style, and curl strength I wanted in my lashes. Jane was my technician and she did a great job. Thankfully nothing that can go wrong, went wrong, they lasted and nothing irritated my eyes. With the deal, they offer either mink or synthetic lashes, I picked synthetic. The place is welcoming in you coming back, they have reoccurring deals of their own, so no Groupon necessary. When I went there was a sign saying 30% off first visit. While the building was beautiful, and it was a relaxing experience, when the women was finished and I looked in the mirror, I couldn't even tell that she had even added anything to my natural lashes. I asked for dramatic lashes, 100 lashes per eye, length 11-13 and C style curl which is what I always get so I expected to notice the lashes when I was done but they were way too natural looking for me. I don't think I received the correct curl or length that I had asked for even though I saw her write it down correctly after our consultation. I went to Lashes on 5th for my first set of lash extensions, and I loved the entire experience. The receptionists were very sweet and walked me through the different styles/lengths and gave great advice on which I should get for an upcoming wedding I was in. The space is large, clean and inviting - I was lead into the main room and put on a very comfortable bed with a blanket and pillow, and there was soft music playing in the background. I had thought going into the experience that I would be freaked out by having my eyes taped shut for an extensive period of time, but it was SO relaxing! I actually fell asleep and had to be woken up at the end. The actual lashes are just gorgeous - I got the full set of "Natural Lashes" ranging from 10-12mm in length. They really do look so natural, and you really don't have to wear any makeup because they stand out so much! They've stayed in very well - I was very careful the first 48 hours to not touch, rub, sleep face down, or get them wet (avoided this in the shower/washing my face by just covering my eyes with my hands). I'm still getting compliments and I'm getting ready to go into my two-week refill in two days! I'll definitely be making appointments into my routine, as it's so simple, relaxing, and makes a huge impact. read more

It took me 2 hours to get lashes that I didn't even like. The tape they used irritated my eyes in which I never experienced this before. I get my lashes done once a month and tried this place for the first time. After the first week nearly 50% of my lashes came off. The reason why I wasn't pleased with them when I left is because I was very specific on the style and length I requested. Because I get my lashes done so frequently I am aware of the look I prefer. The team contacted me few days after my first visit, which shows that they really care about their customers. I came back few days ago to get a new set of lashes. This time it was with the manager Camilla. Camilla is very nice and accommodating. She told me the last set that I got were a bit too long and if I wanted to try something new. Instead of the cat eye, I decided to go with a more natural look (round shape). Camilla spent a long time on me even tho the place started to get busy. She removed my old set gently and carefully applied the new set. This is day 3 and so far so good. I haven't seen any lashes falling out yet ! I definitely recommended this place to one of my co workers after she complimented on my lashes! I think she would be heading there soon! Will be back! read more

They continuously strive to give the most luxurious experience in lash services. Not only that they are so professional, kind and truly care about every client. I can't thank this place enough! I have naturally blonde etelashes and was given the most gorgeous lashes and don't have to worry about my clumpy mascara anymore it's better than I can explain. Two stars because the staff is always very courteous. First visit was fine. I wasn't too satisfied with my lashes but they were done & that's all that mattered. Next visit, I booked an appointment for a mani + pedi + lashes. I thought my feet were going to be soaked & well taken care of but my "pedi" consisted of my feet being wipe & toe nails painted. Same for my mani. When it came to the lashes, they didn't really last three days. They started shedding. I applied coconut oil to what was left only to find out that one extension what attached to each three of my lashes which made them feel very uncomfortable to wear & very painful to remove. I did both upper lashes and bottom lashes, normally some of the bottom lashes would start falling from the third day of the extension. It's been a week now, none of my lashes fell. I got a groupon for a full set right before my vacation and my lashes lasted a full week without a single leg dropping. I am at the two week mark and I've only lost maybe 2 lashes on each eye.
