Went here with my son to pick up a Onewheel XR Classic. I've been to the old location and this was my first time at the new one. Going in, I see they have tons of stock on the floor; from electric bikes, electric scooters and some skateboards and onewheels. I wish I remembered the employee's name but he was really helpful despite it being only him in the shop. He got my Onewheel order and we talked about accessories I wanted to buy. Unfortunately, the store didn't have any available for my model(they had a lot for the Pint and GT models). In the end, my son and I came out with smiles on our faces. I am DEFINITELY, coming back in the summer to pick up a new electric scooter and maybe a Onewheel Pint S for my son. This is a pretty cool shop in Hayes Valley. They appear to curate a variety of goods. The value is retail for what I bought, not cheap, not expensive. The service is where there can be room for improvement. An online order where I was given an expectation of usually 24 hours, took 96 instead lol. It's alright, it's in-house logistics so I can't be too critical, but they can work on answering the phone a little better and their website's product descriptions can be a bit a little more accurate than what they are now. I like and want to support this business, but the staff are very poorly trained on inventory, phone calls are almost never returned, text messages are rarely returned as well. Why is it so hard to find out if and when you are going to sell the one wheel rally edition? I can buy direct from them, at least meet me halfway and make it easy to find out if you're going to sell it. Every time I want something from Onewheel your store never has any clue when it's going to be sold, and that's only if somebody answers. Note, I have bought a board from you in the past, and I'm trying to be a repeat customer, but it's so hard. And I will be happy to update this thread if the situation improves. read more

Greeted by friendly staff. Problem resolved instantly. My worries regarding my son's safety subsided. The store carries a good supply of scooters, bikes and accessories. Always welcoming staff. I bought a dualtron storm and water got inside. I took too them and they diagnosed it and fixed it for me, honestly very good business for fixing scooter and buying scooter but the only thing is it takes awhile for them to diagnose it and to fix it which I didn't mind because I had another scooter to go to work. This business does not offer test drives and does not offer a return or exchange period. I bought a new $5,000 Thunder 3 scooter from them, and it turned out to be defective. It cuts off and sometimes shoots forward when I have the handle pressed halfway. As a result of the unexpected acceleration, I even hit the curb and fell off. I then took it back to them, but after seeing how it was operating, they said I needed to get comfortable with it. They refused to give me a refund or allow me to replace it. I don't know when the term "Last Mile" was created but it was a term to describe people's last mile or distance they needed to go in their commute from a transportation hub to a final destination at home or work. I assume people used to just walk that last mile, but then the bike sharing started a few years back, then the Lime and Bird scooters started which caused a lot of mixed emotions for city folks who either loved it or hated it. But to make a long story short, me waiting around for AC Transit is "for the birds." (No pun intended) Which brought me to this store, Last Mile. I wanted to find a durable electric scooter which had good mileage per charge and a decent speed. I spoke with the Electric scooter expert Caleb prior to coming to the store via phone call and he provided a lot of information regarding the electric scooters they carry. When I finally made it to the store I was allowed to test drive the scooter and when I purchased it, Caleb set up the scooter for me to take home. He was friendly and very helpful which helped me make the decision to get one. Two days after purchasing the scooter, one of the Allen Fasteners came loose and Caleb went above and beyond by coming to Oakland and providing me with a new fastener. I appreciate the customer service, especially when it's a new purchase like mine is. Last Mile is a great shop for everyone who needs a last mile solution. read more

What amazing customer service! This is one of those few times it's actually better to shop in the store. I was looking to buy a Boosted Board online, but couldn't find the helmet I wanted in stock anywhere online so I decided I'd swing by Last Mile to see if they had any in stock, check the sizing and, while I was at it, try out some competitor boards. Brian gave me a run down of what they carried and let me try a bunch of them out. He even offered to stay late so that I could try whatever I wanted. After trying a few of the available boards, I ended up going with the Boosted Board anyway, but I'm glad I got some first hand testing in. Made the pilgrimage from Santa Rosa to San Francisco because this is the only place that lets you demo boosted boards. When I got there there was these irate entitled people standing in line in front of me impatiently waiting for a document to be printed while they dealt with them professionally and courteously. I would not of been so nice. Fortunately they left and I received the best customer service of any skate shop I've ever been to I spent over $1000 for a skateboard and I am happy and ecstatic to do so. What Brian did next completely threw me off, he looked at me and said you can borrow one of shops controller. That is what you call customer service! What a great store. I live in Santa Cruz and wanted to start a relationship with a dealer/shop for the Evolve's Carbon GT. I called JB a couple of times and was able to secure the last unit in the current shipment. I drove up on a Saturday morning. They opened the store early for me! JB was great and I ended up with a great helmet (I have a large skull) and additional wheels and bearings. These guys are knowledgeable and just all around great folks to deal with. Don't waste your time going here unless you bought your scooter directly from this store. I've previously had good experiences at this store but some of the new workers are super disrespectful. Guy at the counter told me my repair just wasn't worth "his" time despite it being a simple fix with the right tools. This is the 5th time this has happened with them. One time they kept my scooter for a week and then said they couldn't fix it. i've been a customer and CaliKites for years. We hear different stories about businesses, but it's up to you as an individual to make your own review. I would notice different things. Sunday I walked in to replace a screw for my scooter and the young man told me it was eight dollars. I looked at the young man I said are you serious he dropped it down to three. Let me start by saying that I usually don't take the time to give reviews... but these guys deserve it. What a wonderful experience today with the guys at the shop. I called Evolve directly to inquire about local shops that carry the Bamboo GTR, an electric longboard I have been wanting for a long time. They mentioned Last Mile. I visited the old location on a previous trip to SF. This time they had moved and I must say the new location is very nice. All of the longboards are there to check out. When I called the shop, Zack (hope the spelling is right) answered and invited me to the shop to actually take the evolve for a ride. I went directly to them, signed up quickly and was on the way out to try my dream ride. Unreal experience, but that's another review. Brian and Zack pointed out a great route to ride around and try out without too much traffic or difficult terrain. They also had the cool OneWheel and I got to try it out as well. Overall, I had a great experience with them. They are knowledgeable and very helpful. I purchased TWO Evolve Bamboo GTX 2in1 kit (one for myself, one for my cousin) and had them shipped home ahead of me. I am so excited and couldn't be happier. I also picked up two new sets of wheels for my Boosted MiniX. They helped me pick out a perfect set of blue orangutans. 78a blues are much better than the stock ones on the MiniX. Picked up a couple of belt kits, just in case I needed them... I ride a lot and I ride hard. All in all I felt great about making a huge investment in the sport I love with Last Mile. Even though I am from Nashville TN, I know that they will treat me the same on the phone as they would in person. Thank you both for a great day and making me feel so welcome. I will absolutely visit when I return to SF... as I am here often! I'm looking forward to getting a OneWheel XR after my test drive, and I will definitely come back to them for it as well. We were desperate to find A STORE IN TOWN and not on the Internet that sold scooters. Very friendly staff but most of all super service. Great experience purchasing my electric skateboard from here. I was pretty torn between Evolve and Boosted. Can't go wrong with either board, so Jay helped me make an informed decision of what would be right for my situation and style of riding. After I test-rode both boards around the area, I returned the following week with my decision of which to purchase. Jay is pretty approachable and easy to talk to, so I know I'll feel comfortable stopping by with questions when I need future help with my board. They also carry a few other options if neither Evolve nor Boosted is your cup of tea.
