I leave my bike with the valet service every day when I grab Caltrain. I recently asked about a tune up. They said it was $130, but that they'd first do a free inspection. I left my bike, got on Caltrain and headed to work. A few hours later they texted and said it only needed rear brake pads and a chain clean and lube, so it would only be $68!! When I got back from work the bike was ready to go. They did a great job and the convenience factor is phenomenal since I'd be leaving my bike there anyway. read more

I have used the Caltrain bike station for simple bike storage and for repairs. Both experiences were positive but this shop really went above and beyond when it was time for repairs. I had set the Caltrain bike station as the pick up location when I ordered a new set of handlebars. When my order arrived, I was dismayed to learn that it wouldn't be quite the easy upgrade I had hoped for. Michael called and emailed between bike manufacturers to find a solution. My bike looks fantastic. As soon as the pollen count drops, I look forward to zipping around town on my beloved bike that Caltrain bike station upgraded for me. The mechanics at Bikehub are absolutely exceptional! They have super quick turn around times for tune ups, service etc. Steve and Mike helped me out with a few mechanical issues before my century ride and made all the difference. Excellent, friendly customer service and they went above and beyond to help me find some parts they didn't have in stock. AND THEY OPEN AT 7AM! Have you ever forgotten your spare tube at home because your 6 month old was screaming bloody murder for 8 hours straight all through the night and obliterated any ability for you to remember everyday, necessary items? Nice work! My bikes, rear tire got a flat plus the tire was significantly worn. The Caltrain bike station had great reviews so I thought I'd give them a try as they are nearby. Dropped my bike off at 7:15. Steve took the information and said he would get back to me with some options. Within the hour, he text me some options for different types of tires and the cost. One standard, and one more puncture resistant, and the cost associated with them. I made my selection and within about 45 minutes he text me the bill and I went and picked up my bike. A long screw punctured my rear tire on my way to work in the morning and had to walk about 25 mins the rest of the way to get to work. After searching through yelp, I came across Caltrain Bike Station, conveniently located about a block from my job. I called them right away and spoke to Tom, told him about my dilemma and said to bring in the bike. I took the tire, and saw Tom but didn't get the other gentleman's name, chatted for a bit and then I went back to work.. not even an hour had pass, they texted me and the tire was fixed!! I 1000% recommend The Bike Station. I wanted to change the handlebars on my road bike from drop bars to a more cruiser-style handlebar because of my neck issues. First, I took my bike to Sports Basement, because it's close to my house. But even though I told them I needed to the bike back quickly, they didn't contact me that afternoon as promised or even the next day. So, I walked over to get my bike and rode it to the Bike Station, because I knew that Steve, formerly at Pedal Revolution, worked there now. He and the team there worked on my bikes for almost 20 years until Pedal Revolution sadly closed during the pandemic. As expected, Steve was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and fast at re-configuring my bike's entire headset (no small feat) to accommodate the new bars we decided would serve my needs. Plus, I've already been back once to have them adjusted. The Bike Station is at the 4th Street and Townsend Caltrain station, so it might seem a little out of the way, and the shop is only open on weekdays. Nevertheless, it is entirely worth getting your bike repaired and adjusted there. The prices are reasonable and the staff is incredibly fast, friendly and responsive. And if you commute on Caltrain and have a bike problem, it's quite likely that the shop could have it repaired by the time you return from work. They even sell and repair eBikes. read more

Caltrain Bike Station is the bomb! I dont ride my bike that often but, when I did recently, he was audibly complaining about being neglected. Still fast af but didnt shift or sound right. The super friendly and knowledgable team at Caltrain Bike Station gave him a glow up and now he's good as new! I called ahead to check availability and they werent too busy so everything was completed same day. I was really impressed by their process: dropped my bike off late morning, they texted me very promptly with their assessment + cost estimate, I approved, and they texted me when it was done. So easy! Everyone on the team was awesome, their prices are great, and they're so honest, they didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need. A truly wonderful public service. As long as you can get back to the City by seven pm, this lovely bike valet team will safeguard your bike til you get home. Because you know you can't always leave it locked on the street all day every day and expect it to be there when you return... #citylife. There's a bike shop on site so it's a one-stop shop for mechanical issues as well. Highly recommend, and consider tipping for this free service! My only wish is that they stayed open later because the nearest bikelink alternative is a ways and not all that accessible. read more

I can't believe what a gem this place is. TK and John (sp?) are super chill, knowledgeable, and honest. They recommended some great brake replacements for my road bike, and have been maintaining it for the last year. It has NOT run better. And they won't charge an arm and a leg. Shockingly, I've ran over glass several times on the streets of San Francisco. I have no idea where it came from, hint hint: all the broken car windows in the city, but that's another story. That said, Caltrain Bike station has repaired many a flat tire on my bike. They've also provided me with timely tuneups for my bicycle, including break adjustments. The guys that work there are knowledgeable and very friendly. I feel good about supporting a local business in my neighborhood. read more

Fast. Easy. Won't take extra money from you. Located on the North side of the Cal train station, all you have to do is tell them that you're in for a bike fix up, and they'll give you a card to fill out. Then you just wait for their call or email for an estimate. I had written that I thought my bike needed new chains, but they told me that everything looked fine and just tightened a few gears, oiled my front piece, called up some loose wires, and even added a new handle bar cap, as mine had fallen off a couple of months ago. For all of that + tune up (making the wheels true, making sure everything is right, looking at the breaks and wheels), they only charged me their base price. The only complaint that I have is that they didn't call me about when it was done. I just called them and my bike was ready to go before I needed to go home from work!
