Great service, friendly faces and good food! Kat's Last Run Tavern is a favorite local spot. At first glance, it's easy going atmosphere, juke box, and row of motorcycles out front will have you thinking it's just another dive bar. But if you spend more than two minutes there, you will quickly see that there is more to this little stop on rt 240! The menu (albeit expensive) has a ton of home cooked options and the specials never disappoint! The Baja tacos are my favorite, the wings are perfect, and the roast beef (when they have it) is as good as or better than Bar-bills. There are dinner tables inside and out. Their newly remodeled patio is awesome, and usually shaded fairly well. What makes the last run the best is truly the people that work there. We've been living in town for 20 years now, and in all that time, I've met so many good people. Not one bad apple in 10 years. That's just incredible. read more

Look, you can get deep fried fish pretty much anywhere. I don't know if it's something in the water, or some secret ingredient in the batter, or just the freshness of the fish that makes it so much better in WNY, but it is. Now, I've been out of the area for 12 years. When I rolled in at 9pm on a Thursday, hungry, I wasn't sure what kind of food I'd find, but the reviews for Last Run were good enough, so I decided to give it a go. And damn am I glad I did. The serving size was insane. A massive pile of fries, a dish of cole slaw, a generous serving of mac salad (which I usually don't love, but was happy to make an exception for), and 4 large, golden, crispy filets of fish. And every bite was delightful. Both the serving staff (who were on their way out but got me started anyway) and Anna, the bartender, were friendly and extremely helpful. I can even forgive the mispronunciation of "Smithwick's". This was an excellent way to be welcomed back to the area. read more

Just driving in and looking for a good bar for lunch & a brew. Boy! Did we find it. Obviously named as an après-ski site, it boasts a good selection of bottled beers served by a young female bartender. It's rather dark inside with a true rustic cabin feel. This is obviously the local watering hole for manual laborers. On this beautiful, warm late October day, many were opting out of work to shoot the breeze, throw back a few and ogle the barkeep. We sat at the bar taking in the local flair after driving 3 hours but before checking into our hotel. Oh, the food - Wowsers!!! I had the Beef on Weck - a true representation of the WNY classic - good horseradish. Will chose a daily special hoagie - a great sandwich he reflected. Both came with house cut fries - served with vinegar (the proximate Canadian influence (and catsup if you must). All in all, very good. read more

Here from NYC for a few days and stopped by for a bite, and loved the place. Great service (prompt and friendly), very nice vibe and the food was great. Best chicken tenders I've had since I moved to the US and their signature craft sauces (I the blueberry bbq) were great. Very hefty portions too. Both my wife and I had more than enough to take home and tide us over for lunch the next day as well. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area. read more

This is the second time I've been here, and it was just as good as the first. Private parking lot is a plus. Decent size back patio, friendly workers and great food. You can't go wrong here. We stop on the way home from Ellicotville every year, and I look forward to getting their fantastic chicken wings before heading home from a long day. They were out of a few things we ordered, not their fault of course, but I see they have expanded their menu a bit which I love. Highly recommend if you happen to be in the area. read more

The drinks, food and service was amazing! I haven't had mussels in decades because I always thought I didn't like them from remembering them when I was younger but this place has definitely changed my mind. I couldn't get enough and could just about drink the broth they came in. My fish fry was excellent, perfect beer battered and huge. I will definitely have to take the drive out there again for some grub. read more

I drive past this place all the time, and finally stopped in yesterday. What a delight! We had an appetizer - broccoli cheddar bites, and salads. The salads were to die for - huge, fresh, and loaded up with the goods. I can't wait to try more things here, it was hard making a choice because so many things on the menu sounded good. Our service was a little slow, shortly after we arrived the bar became packed, but not enough to knock off a star. The bar itself looked pretty nice, plenty of local craft brews on tap. It's cozy in here, like an old time-y lodge. Overall pleasant experience, I will be returning. With such limited options in the area, it's nice to have a place like this nearby. read more

You can absolutely tell the cooks here are passionate about what they create!!! My boyfriends Chicken Alfredo was beautifully presented and gave my homemade recipe a run for the money!!!! The pulled pork quesadillas with all the pickles and jalapeño dipping sauce....amazing!!!! We were blown away by the quality of food...even his garden salad was amazing. Wanted a quick bite after riding at Kissing Bridge. Based off other reviews I went with the Five Alarm burger. The jalapeño honey BBQ sauce on the burger was delicious!!!! Definitely not disappointed! The French fries were tasty and I'd dip them in the sauce spilled over from the juicy burger. Well, I had dinner for 4 takeout. The wings were good, fries were good, wife's thunder ball fish dinner was great she said, my steak hoagie was really good. Here's my issues, I ordered wings well done and saucy, barley any sauce, no issues with fish. Fries were cold (I live 5 min away), I asked for a little Italian dressing on hoagie and got none, I asked for Mayo on hoagie and it was drizzled on top (?). Now the part that as to why I'm done with this place, Ive owned a restaurant in the past and a food truck as well. They charged me .50 for the Mayo and .50 for each take out container. Here's the problem when places do these cheap things, if they drop a roll on the floor do they toss it or use it ? when loading fryer with wings to cook and a cpl fall on floor do they toss them in trash or fry them up ? (Pretty sure I know) there's many other ways that cheap restaurants cut cost but I'm afraid you will never go out for dinner again. They even charged me .50 for the wing box. Very sad, we eat out every Friday because of COVID to help support local places and have been getting food there at least 25 times but I've never was given a receipt, today they gave me one and I was shocked. Total bill was $56.00 so don't get the idea I'm some old cheap fart, I'm not. read more

I've been coming to the Last Run since 2013. Last night we were in the area and thought we would stop in for a beer and a bite. It was prime dinner time on a Friday and the parking lot was full and people were parking in the overflow. We almost went somewhere else because we thought they were too slammed but decided to give it a try and take our chances. As soon as we walked in the hostess grabbed us and found a table for two and said the waiter would be right over. We were sort of expecting slow service and a long wait for drinks and food just because of how busy they were. The waiter came over right away with menus and took our drink order. Surprisingly he was back in less than a minute with our beers! Our food also came out super quickly and was great just like it always is there. While we were eating the hostess noticed our beers were starting to get low. She grabbed a couple fresh ones while our waiter was taking care of tables in another section. You could tell the staff was pitching in and helping each other out vs. standing around or looking at there phones! I don't write many reviews but was just blown away by how they were killing it while being at max capacity! They nailed the service and timeliness and as always the food was on point! read more

We came here for lunch while attending a dice run at KB. The bartender was super friendly, we received drinks fast. We ordered a couple appetizers, the stuffed mushrooms and spinach dip. the mushrooms were amazing, we kind of turned it into a dip to share with 6 adults and 2 kids. The spinach dip was also good, I don't think I have had it better anywhere else but the mushrooms had the spotlight!! We all ordered different things and I lost track of what the guys had because we were spread out watching the Bills game, but everyone was very happy with the food and service!!! Went from 5 stars down to 2. The place was amazing for a while but lately the food has gone way down hill. We got a pizza there which we usually get, upon arriving home with it we noticed that the bottom was totally burnt black. We just gave it another try and the pizza's had about 1/2 the toppings on them, hardly any pepperoni and very minimal cheese. Time to go somewhere else read more
