It was $12 Tuesday so we all ordered off that menu. We started out with Cosmos & dirty martinis. Next came the warm crusty bread with butter & dipping oil, who can resist warm bread . We all got our salad with the house dressing , so yummy. Our waitress has a sesame allergy so she needed help with that service. Now onto the wine with our dinner. For my entree I chose the Parmesan haddock I had it with fries & it came with zucchini one of my friends chose it with the mashed potatoes we agreed it was very tasty. Very rude greeter. She tried to push my party of 10 into two card table sized pushed together. When we explained that it would not work, (btw, I had called earlier in the day for the reservation) she made sure that our food took an hour to get and my daughter & mine were inedible. She took her anger out on us when we did not cause a scene, we did not make a big deal but we will never go there again. It was my 60th wedding anniversary and we spent $400 with the tip. This place is such a great hidden gem! I've passed by it several times driving on Rt 5 but never stopped...until today! So glad I did because this place is amazing. First of all they have $12 deals on Tuesday! Check them out! For today I just tried regular options on the menu. Everything I had was great and you really can't go wrong. I dined with my sister and we had: Banana pepper soup Goat cheese balls Hot bread with dipping oil (complimentary) Salads with homemade white balsamic dressing Chicken French Cajun steak Alfredo Peanut butter pie There wasn't a bad item on the menu, and I can't wait to come back again to try something new. Extremely disappointing! We ordered takeout- liver and onions, breaded pork chop, and chicken francaise. The liver was so tough I couldn't eat it. The chicken dinner was smaller than a child's size dinner - very few fries, a few green beans and the chicken was maybe a 4 oz portion at the most! We ordered drunken mussels, spinach artichoke dip, and fried goat cheese as appetizers. Something was not right with the spinach artichoke dip, and the muscles had several with cracked shells and others that did not open at all. What is going on? I cannot recommend Rust Belt enough for large groups. My brother was in town and we needed a place where we could meet with extended family. Rust Belt not only accommodates large groups, but offers reservations. Those two things alone were not as easy to find as you might think, so to find this aaaand get EXCEPTIONAL service and great food -- well, that's definitely worth Yelping about! Our table was ready when we arrived, and our party of ten was treated like family. Lindsey was the right blend of playful and professional. She was an excellent server who was always there when we needed her without hovering or lingering. We never felt pressured to get out of the way when we were done eating, either, which is nice because we haven't all been together since September, 2001 - about a week before 9/11. We returned last night with a few friends and was pleased to say this time was even more pleasant. I got the pistachio salmon special. One of the best salmons I've recently had and we paid probably half the price we would have anywhere else in the area.our server was welcoming, attentive, and had such a positive attitude the entire time. Service was amazing. All the staff was hustling as they were very busy. I filled up on the bread which was delicious. I didn't get a pic of it because we demolished it fast. The ambiance is nice, it's a bit dark but it's comfortable. My only complaint was the wait time for the food. Which was amazing once we finally got it (over an hour wait) our server told us that the cook was short handed today. We will definitely be back and hopefully they won't be short handed that day. read more

Exceeded my expectations all around! I remember driving past this place but never looked into the type of restaurant it was. I only went because of a recommendation from my sister to try something new where neither of us had been. It was nice to walk right in and be seated, the server came over right away to take our drink order, discuss specials and give recommendations on what to order with it being our first time. The appetizers came out very quick and we even asked if she would wait to put our dinner order in so we could enjoy our drinks and apps. She had no problem doing that and said just to tell her once we were ready. I had the banana pepper soup and it was good and not too spicy. I tried the goat cheese balls but it was not something I would typically like so I didn't really enjoy them but my sister likes goat cheese and said they were very good. I ordered the Cajun pasta with steak as the entree and it also came with a side salad. The house made white balsamic was delicious on the salad and the pasta had amazing flavor. I have been to this restaurant twice and I really enjoyed my experience both times . First of all the menu is outstanding and reasonably priced . That is not counting the specials - new specials are posted on their Facebook page every day ! This past visit my aunt and I ordered two entrees - the chicken inferno (stuffed banana pepper, sweet chili sauce ) and crab stuffed haddock . Entrees come with fresh bread and a side salad. I was able to upgrade to a loaded baked potato for $3 (worth it ) . Food was as delicious as they appear in pictures I posted. Plenty for leftovers . Server was kind and accommodating . Amazing! Party of 10 it was 12, they had no problem seating my family. Many choices, it takes a while to read and make a decision, but we all ordered off the specials menu. The food is exquisite and reasonably priced. They treated us like we were their family as they were very attentive. The scallops, pasta, fish fry, and steak yielded zero complaints only rave reviews. Went here the night before Easter and as we're eating we realize the place has cleared out for the night and we were the only ones there with the staff. Did that change our experience? Absolutely not! The bartender was super cheerful and very prompt with service and the food was 110% as always. Can't say enough about our experience tonight! Restaurant was full so my fiancé and I sat at the bar to have dinner and drinks. Please do yourself a favor and go see Amber. Amber was the bartender and our server and she was absolutely amazing! She told us the food would come out slow because of how busy they were but she made sure our drinks were full and our appetizers were out. So the Rust Belt bar and Grill happens to be a local favorite of ours as it is close to where we live. We went in on a Wednesday just because we did not feel like cooking, and we were seated right away. Normally, we don't make reservations, but they will accept them. The staff is very friendly and attentive while enjoying the dining experience. It's casual dress but have seen everything from jeans to shirt and tie. Basically what strikes your mood or occasion. We have yet to have a bad meal there. There regular menu has a very good variety and they have unique specials.I personally love seafood so that is my usual menu selection. Yesterday I chose from the specials menu.I had the sea bass that had a tomato and Olive topping with an olive oil sauce. The vegetables were snap peas and summer squash and for the potato I went with fries. My fiance went with the chicken francais with mashed potato. Both meals came with a salad and a mini loaf of warm bread and a seasoned oil for dipping. The bread was very soft in the center with a light crisp crust. The perfect combination! I would totally recommend Checking tthem out! They also do a special Tuesday only menu. It is usually crowded for that, so I would recommend making a reservation if you can. Update from a review in 2017. My Review in 2017 was about how bad the service is. Just , How slow they are. They definitely have upped their game in the service department. It still can be slower, but nothing like the past . My family and I really do like their food. Probably one of your best bangs for your bucks. I like their Cajun alfredo Pasta, My wife enjoys the Pear salad. They are generally very consistent as well . Have driven by countless times and our daughter surprised us when we pulled in to The Rustbelt. Wow! The food was fabulous, my wife had the breaded pork chops, my daughter had the Asiago chicken while I had the inferno chicken. Portions were very generous, and our server Amber was a delight, on top of her game with all her tables, and so pleasant to interact with. What a great find. When I grew up in the area, this location was known as Armando's, and was a blue-collar bar & restaurant across the street from the Woodlawn Ford Plant. We've moved back to Hamburg recently. Well, Ford is still there (thank goodness) and while Armando's is long gone, the current occupant of this location has done something very special in the most unlikely industrial location. As others have mentioned, the exterior is nothing that will draw you in, especially if you are speeding past on Route 5. But once you get inside, it's warm, inviting and cozy. There's a bar alongside the restaurant seating, so it adds a little bit of informality which we liked. The service was friendly and quick. Within about a minute after we were seated, a server approached us for our drink orders which also came out quickly. She gave us some time to look over the menu which had many unexpected choices. My wife ordered open lamb chop souvlaki and I spotted Greek pasta which I had to try. Although we both went with Greek inspired choices, there was plenty of variety on the menu. A nice warm bread was served as we waited, and my pasta included a side salad. The Greek dressing was delicious. I do have to say, there was a bit longer of a wait for our entrees than typical, but having the bread to hold us over made that essentially a non-issue, as good food does take a bit of time to prepare. We took in the lovely holiday decorations and atmosphere as we waited. When our entrees arrived, we were both exceptionally pleased. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly as ordered and my Greek pasta was bursting with flavor. I always like to seek out pastas that don't utilize traditional Italian tomato sauce and jumped on this. The pasta was outstanding and included some of the most tender, juicy and flavorful chicken tenders I can remember eating. My wife was just as satisfied with her selection. The best part of the whole experience was how reasonable the prices were. Both of our entrees were under $20 each. It's more expensive at many establishments to have an order of pizza and wings. I think it might be about the best value for quality of product that we've experienced in the post-Covid inflation world. Rust Belt is a hidden gem, we intend to return often. read more

From the outside this restaurant does not stand out at all. The inside looks very nice. We were with a group of 4 and got a nice warm bread basket. When we asked for a second bread basket the waitress told us that was $1.50. I think it was not to much to ask to just give us a 2nd one. I ordered off the specials menu, fish fry and shrimp. The breaded fish fry was huge, didn't even fit on the plate! It was topped with 3 big breaded shrimp! It came with Cole slaw, macaroni salad and mashed potatoes. I really enjoyed my salmon on a bed of rice, but I will not give this restaurant 5 stars for two reasons. I asked for a refill of the lovely warm loaf of bread and was told there is $1.50 charge for additional baskets of bread. There were 4 of us at dinner. I think a basket for each couple is not too much to ask. The second reason is that my salmon dinner specifically said that it was served with a vegetable, along with the salad and rice. I even asked the waitress what the vegetable was. I was told "mixed vegetables", and then my dinner came out with no vegetable. I called over the waitress who then "double checked" and returned with a separate serving dish of very nice snow peas! I thought this was very strange when I'd asked about the vegetables when I ordered! My salad, salmon, rice and snow peas were all delicious. read more

Service was not that great so my rating is not based on service cause I would have to give only two or three stars for service.
