Four stars because my first time in was very crowded and my consultant was a bit preoccupied with other clients (she knew of one the customers personally, so she made her first priority). This review is solely for their alterations department. I wrote previously that I bought my dress from LBC and loved it. I had read some less than stellar reviews regarding tailoring but went ahead with using their seamstress, Wendy. I had my appt with her which was a little disconcerting when I was giving her directions on how to tailor my dress and what I felt needed to be fixed. I came back several weeks later to try on my dress and was horrified by the bustle. The buttons that were affixed to the outside of the dress were in satin when my dress was a soft netting...which meant they stuck out like a sore thumb. I mentioned several times how I did NOT like the buttons and suggested she exchange them for a clear button, saying that they wouldn't stick out so much and she said she felt differently, that clear buttons would stand out more. After going back and forth on the bustle and feeling like I wasn't being heard, I decided to sign the paperwork stating that I was accepting the alterations and left the store. First mistake....if you don't like the alterations, do not sign that paper because you won't have much of a leg to stand on later when trying to get a refund. At this point it was 4 weeks until my wedding and I was, for lack of a better term, freaking out. I called around to see who could fix the alterations in a pinch. I found someone who could help me out so I called up LBC to let them know I would be taking my dress somewhere else. They asked me to leave the dress and let Wendy fix what I felt was wrong. At 4 weeks from the wedding, I didn't trust Wendy to fix anything, considering in our last appointment she didn't feel like anything was wrong with the dress, let alone the awful bustle. When I took my dress to another alterations appt I found out that the left cup of my dress was inches off in dimension from the right cup, Wendy had used yellow thread to sew in the buttons on the bustle instead of ivory and didn't even clip the strings (they were hanging down), the sewn in cups on the inside of the dress had to be reset, and the ivory buttons were ultimately switched out for clear buttons. Crisis diverted and my dress was perfect for my wedding day. But I ended up paying double in alterations costs and felt that I deserved a refund from LBC since almost every alteration Wendy made had to be corrected by my new seamstress. I only received a refund on the bustle since Wendy remembers me saying how I didn't like it. But I wouldn't receive a refund on anything else because I didn't say anything at the appointment, didn't give them another chance to fix the alterations, and I signed off on the alterations. And according to Sarah (the manager of LBC) Wendy has been their seamstress for over 10 years and states that no one has had any complaints about her. Which honestly baffles me after what I dealt with. Two separate seamstresses saw my dress after Wendy's alterations and they were both at a loss for words on what they saw. Something as basic as using string and buttons that match the dress in color and fabric was lost on Wendy. When I was turned down on a full refund, I called and talked to Sarah. I explained that after my second appointment with Wendy, and how she shot down my requests to fix my bustle, I didn't see a point to argue any other points with her because I felt it was falling on deaf ears. I felt Wendy wasn't interested in what I had to say, she was only interested on getting me to sign the alterations form and move on. I was still turned down on a full refund. Which, btw, was approx $220. My alterations at the other place cost LESS (and were done correctly) and that cost me $216. LBC could've refunded the amount (which financially to them is probably peanuts) to make right what went wrong and would've made me a happy customer who would've referred other friends, but instead they chose not to and keep that money, which in my opinion is bad business. So please don't make the mistake that I did. Having a dress crisis 4 weeks before your wedding is not something I would wish on any bride. LBC is a great place to buy a beautiful dress on a budget, but I would absolutely use another service for alterations, and possibly another boutique all together. Such a cute boutique with an amazing selection of dresses! Unlike most places they have their inventory grouped by price (1K, 1200-1700, and so on) making it extremely easy for brides adamant about staying under a certain budget. Kristin was my consultant and she was awesome! My friend, who is also engaged, came along with me and saw a few dresses she wanted to try on .... Kristin was very accommodating and allowed my friend to try on stuff even though she didn't have an appointment. There is a also a sample sales room; I saw a large number of dress marked down to $99.00.....what a steal! My only complaint about bridal couture was that a lot of the samples were a size 6 or 8...from what I've been told the average bridal size is a 12. It's a lot easier to clip a bride into a dress that's too big, than it is too encourage a bride that she'd look amazing in a gown 3 sizes bigger on her big day lol. With that being said, I will give them credit for their plus size section...they have an entire rack dedicated to size 16+ which I thought was since a lot lot of the places I've been to don't carry anything larger than a 14. They have a pretty large assortment of bridesmaids dresses too! Oh and before I forget, a very small detail but I thought it was cute...they have your name listed on the blackboard outside of the store the day you come in to try in dresses! read more

I had a great experience here. I went to two bridal salons before going here (Circle Park Bridal and Bridal Boutique Lewisville) and the service here was the best. My consultant, Diana was friendly and based on my list of dresses I liked, picked styles that fit my figure and taste. The dress that ended up being "the one" was picked by her off the rack. I love it and they had it for a great price. They have all styles and price points so don't be discouraged by "couture" in the name. My dress came in earlier than originally scheduled and they held it for me until I could come in and give my final payment. I would recommend this shop to any bride! read more

This shop was the 2nd shop I went to, and after a less than stellar experience at a different store, this shop was a welcomed experience. They have a lot of selection and a variety of sizes. My only "complaint".... and it could have been partially my fault.... was that I didn't feel like my consultant was getting a good idea of what I was asking for. She was very sweet and I didn't feel pressured or anything... I just didn't feel like she was "getting me". The selection was HUGE and we found the perfect bridesmaid dress. If you can't find something here I don't know if you will. There are so many choices. They did not have the dress I wanted in a sample, but I ordered it through them. Dress arrived from Maggie Sottero in about 5 months. I did not want to do my alterations here, but the other dress tailor recommended from TheKnot was not available, so I was left with this store. The alterations are very pricey! So if you need alterations done, go to Becky Fowler in Irving, because I would have saved hundreds of dollars for a simple alteration. Other than that, they steamed my dress and it was ready for pickup when they said it would be. They have great service and patience when I tried on other dresses, and a better selection of dresses than other bridal stores in Addison. read more

About a month ago I came in for my appointment and I was highly disappointed and discouraged. They did not clip me into the dresses. I had little to no assistance getting into the dresses. I was not offered a strapless bra or a robe to cover myself while getting in and out of dresses. As a plus size bride they has limited options on what I could try on as well. Terrible customer service! Was put in a back room next to the bathroom. When we made the appointment we requested to see certain style dresses. We were assured they would be available upon arrival when we arrived one dress was presented to try on. When I asked the girl what happened, she shrugged her shoulders and walked away. I just had my wedding and am incredibly grateful for the way Lasting Bridal Couture accommodated me throughout the process of buying and altering my wedding dress. I went to several other places before finding "the dress" at LBC and was sold immediately. In the alterations process, I did have some hiccups as I lost some weight and the dress just did not fit correctly. (I did have to beg and cry) but the owner fit me in for a last minute appt two weeks before my wedding to fix my issues. When I went back in the Tuesday before my wedding and it still needed some fixing-- the alterations person stayed past closing to alter it further. I will just say to be very communicative about what you want because I had to be very specific about what I needed changed, and I am no expert in alterations. I wish she had been able to notice some of the problems on her own instead of me having to ask and offer up my own solutions (like putting in bra cups which she said I did not need and definitely did). I have heard in some bridal shops, they will have your last fitting just a week out from your wedding to make sure it's the perfect fit, and I wish LBC offered that. Overall, loved the store- so many options and affordable prices. They really helped me narrow down what I wanted and in the end loved! read more

I was a bridesmaid for my friend's wedding on Nov 10th... I shopped tons of websites and bridal stores in the Dallas Metroplex. I even went beyond calling stores in Tyler, TX. Yes, I am crazy. When someone ask me for help... I am very resourceful. Anyways... so when I found Lasting Bridal Couture. I was blown away with their service. The owner and associate understand the business very well. They know the logistic and terminology of the perfect wedding dress for every individual. I'm not going to make this a long review... Although I didn't get my dress here, I have to say that I went in with a $500 budget. Overall, the service was great, I didn't feel like they were rude to me or pushy in any way. They allow photos here so they even let me take photos of the gowns I was considering. They were willing to only pull samples for me due to my price restrictions. These are high end gowns with lots of detailing. If you can fit the sample size, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND going here! She offered me a beautifull gown for $350 but the alterations would have cost much more than the dress. The service here was much better than chain bridal shops. read more

Lasting Bridal Couture was a great experience. I worked with Lo, who was attentive, professional, funny, and brought a great energy to my shopping experience. She listened to what I wanted, the theme of the wedding, and my concerns. They had a great selection with unique styles for both brides, and bridesmaids. I only have two grievances. One, is the set up of the store. There is one "stage" where all the brides try on. I felt it awkward to voice my opinions and insecurities when other brides and their parties could see, hear, and weigh in with their opinions (which they did). To remedy this, I recommend scheduling an appointment at an off time or not on a Saturday. Second, there was a 9.5 dress, (almost right, but not quite). My family loved, and I loved it at first. However the warm fuzzy feeling waned because I felt like the dress highlighted the areas I did not want emphasis on for my big day. Instead of finding similar gowns with a slightly different shape, I felt like I just "reassured" this would be my dress, I would come around, and I had no reason to be insecure. I understand that this came from a good place, but really I just felt more discouraged, because we couldn't "move on" from the 9.5 dress. Ultimately, I did not purchase a dress from them, but do recommend LBC, and overall had a positive, customer oriented experience. P.S. Leave the champagne at home. No beverages! read more

This store has changed ownership recently. And the people running it now are terrible. I bought my wedding dress here and loved them but this new ownership and new sales associates are terrible. I had to get a bridesmaids dress there and they took my measurements in store. They told me the dress would actually be a little snug because my hip measurement was big for that size but recommended that size anyway. The dress was in fact 2 sizes TOO BIG and my measurements have not changed. Their solution was to recommend a tailor. Not pay for a tailor, not offer the services themselves but to recommend a tailor that I would have to pay for to reconstruct this dress that they told me to order two sizes to big. Terrible customer service. Terrible atmosphere in the store. Look elsewhere. read more

So far I have been absolutely thrilled with the service, the quality and the overall experience at Lasting Bridal Couture. My stylist is Nancy and she is just the sweetest lady! She makes me feel extremely comfortable and never once made me feel pressured to make a rush decision on a dress. And I love that she always inquires about how my groom is doing! There was a minor mishap with the size of my dress. I am shaped like a triangle - 2 on the top, 6 in the waist and an 8 in the hips. The original dress that was ordered ended up being way too snug in the hips, but on a dime Nancy and the staff stepped up to the plate, owned the mistake, and immediately ordered me a new dress of course at no charge. I train customer service for a living and in my opinion, outstanding customer service is measured in how a complication is resolved. Many businesses can have friendly employees who make you feel welcome and special, but will clam up at the slightest chance of conflict. Lasting Bridal Couture has an incredibly professional team, especially Miss Nancy. Oh! And the dresses are gorgeous and your CANNOT beat the prices!! read more

Wow! This is a nice place. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the way you can shop and see their gowns on display. My mother and I took our time to walk around the store and pick out a few dresses that we initially liked. My sales person, Lauren then suggested some others that I might not have chosen at first. I ended up picking a beautiful Justin Alexander to looks WAY more expensive that it was. Honestly, I was prepared to spend much more than I spent. Everyone at the boutique was super friendly at first, and they have a wonderful selection of very reasonably priced gowns. I really enjoyed my original experience there in terms of bridal gowns, however it went downhill after that. Then we got to alterations. Their in-house streamstress is terrible. She's either too busy or too lazy, I'm not sure which, to do the job right or ensure the dress is exactly what you want. She GLUED parts of my dress together so that when another seamstress tried to fix it, the lace lace ripped from the bodice of my dress. She also was resistent to taking in my dress, which she said fit perfectly - it was a size too big, it didn't fit perfectly at all, but she didn't want to spend the time working on it. Once I let the boutique know what had happened they got defensive and would not offer a refund for the alterations gone wrong. Terrible customer service in the end. Highly dissapointed that they would treat a customer that way during what should be a fund and meaningful experenice. read more

I was very impressed with Lasting Bridal Couture. Their prices were very reasonable given the quality of dresses they carry. But, what truly impressed me was first my experience trying on gowns and second my experience with alterations. I have a tall stick figure and thus needed a gown that accentuated my bust and hips. I tried on a few that I thought based on online selections may work but they didn't quite do the trick. The consultant knew her stock well and recommended a specific dress for me to try. It was perfect, except that it was strapless and I have medical scars below my collarbone that I wanted to cover. My wedding was also going to be a traditional Catholic ceremony and I wanted to be somewhat modest if possible. So, with that being said, Wendy (who is their seamstress) came and met with me. I asked her if there was any way to build onto the dress to make it into an asymmetrical one-shoulder in order to cover me enough. She assured me she would make it happen... We ordered extra fabric and appliques to use. The boutique called me when every piece of my order arrived (hair piece, veil, dress, extra fabric, etc.) I met with Wendy 4 times. Over the course of our visits, we ended up building a demo shoulder piece and designed it to match exactly the style of the existing dress. She was so comfortable to work with and receptive to my preferences. It was quite complex in that it had to extend from the entire existing top edge of the dress and blend perfectly so that no one could tell it was altered. She built in a bra, hemmed my dress, took out layering from within, and had to take in a large portion of the dress due to my boyish figure. My mother has sewn all my dresses my entire life due to my build thus I know the effort that Wendy put forth for me. That degree of detail takes a great deal of time and patience. The dress turned out perfectly. Everyone at my ceremony was so impressed; they had no idea it had been significantly altered. I highly recommend Lasting Bridal Couture of Addision! read more

I'm beyond happy with the service provided by this shop!! Laura (bilingual) is amazing! She's confident, passionate, open-minded, understanding, approachable, and the positive energy she gives off is a beautiful gift she has!! What seem impossible to me was possible to her! Let me explain my reasons why... first I gave a strict budget and most importantly it had to be perfect for a destination wedding. Laura did exactly that!! A lot of places don't allow a lot of people to join the bride during dress shopping but not once did they give me a hard time about having 5 girls! Then I asked for specific buttons to be added to the back. It end up taking 2-3 months to receive the buttons! I thought this wasn't going to happen, I wasn't going to have the buttons (that match my veil) I wanted. Laura assured me it was possible! Her confidence and expertise allowed me to trust that it will! As promised they arrived a month before my wedding and the seamstress came in on her day off to do the fitting and because of this my dress looks completely different, I love it! I had the most wonderful experience visiting this boutique- this was the first store I visited and I'm very glad I did. Had it not, I wouldn't have continued my search for the perfect wedding gown. Nancy was AMAZING! Words can't describe how extraordinary she is. My friends and I were completely delighted with her. My mother and bridesmaids do not live in Dallas, TX and she was so sweet and comprehensive about it- she even suggested we connected my mom on Skype so that she could see all the dresses I tried on and was very patient and more than happy to answer all my questions. Their selection of dresses is fantastic and the place itself is lovely. Thanks to Nancy I was able to figure out what type of gown I wanted to wear (ball gown) on our special day. Unfortunately, I had a very specific design that I personally created and decided to go the custom route. Look no further! This is the place to go. I went to several Bridal Shops in Dallas and this place is the BEST in the area. The staff is amazing and professional. They make you feel so special no matter your price range. I wasn't going to go here because I thought I would never pay that much for a dress. I was looking for something under $500 and this place is filled with big name designer gowns and although I wanted a Maggie Sottero ... I wasn't willing to spend that much on a dress. My wedding is in June (three months away), so I was working with a time crunch as well as a limited budget. I also wanted to make sure I didn't settle for some cookie cutter plain jane david's bridel gown either. Daunting task! I set out yesterday on a mission to find "the one." First stop - David's Bridal. DUD. Second stop Terry Costa. So-so but didn't find anything that made my heart flutter. Third stop Lasting Bridal Couture. From the moment I walked in the door I felt like a VIP. Right away I told them I needed something either rush order or off the rack and I needed something less than 800 if possible. The ladies got right to work, pulling beautiful dresses and let me roam free to look as well. I tried on so many and spent so long there but Diana seemed dedicated to finding me the perfect dress. She was so sweet and offered much appreciated input since I was alone. They kept looking and looking, even digging through a seperate section in the back room of samples. Finally they pulled what turned out to be the "this is it" dress. Diana had already figured out how much I love bling and drama so she immediately pulled a sequin belt and added it to the gown. That was all I needed to be in love. They offered me a great price on the gown and I was able to negotiate even a little bit lower than their initial number. They also allowed me to buy the sequin belt sample to save me some money. After dress, taxes, belt, I was exactly at my 800 budget. They really made it happen for me and I am so grateful. Circle Park bridal was snobby and the vibes weren't nearly as laid back and welcoming. I sort of felt like lower class after I told them my budget was 900 max. I would recommend Lasting Bridal Couture to anyone, they are awesome!!! I cannot say enough about my experience there. They even gave me a candle as a thank you after I made my purchase. First, I love that you can make an appointment online and you have a choice of who you want your consultant to be. I was with Rebecca and she was very sweet. She was very patient with me and understood what I was looking for. She helped me in and out of my gowns and I was very comfortable around her. She did not push any dresses on me and stuck to my budget. For my 1st appointment I thought I found The dress, but after time I decided to start all over and look for new gowns. She helped me find a couple of new dresses I liked very much, but as of right now I am still undecided, as I have visited a number of boutiques from Circle Bridal park to the Mockingbird bridal. I wrote a review a few days ago about how Pure Luxe Bridal in Allexn, TX ordered a dress online that came in the wrong color and would not allow a refund, So, I thought about how wonderful the ladies at Lasting Bridal Couture were and took a chance the owner Kerry might buy the dress at wholesale. She did without any reservation!!!! I am not saying they should do that for everyone but in this case it was a 71 year old women on social secuity who could not afford a $700 loss. I am writing again to let you know this store Lasting Bridal Couture and these ladies (Kerry, Sarah and Laurie) are honest, genuine and angels on earth! After buying a wedding dress from the store where no one measured my daughter, the dress arrived two sizes too small. The owner was very apologetic and opened the store so that we could pick another dress( had to go with a sample as it was too late to order). We were assured that the dress would be cleaned and altered. After my daughter drove in from Austin( 3rd visit), she tried on the sample and it was awful. She was so upset that she took it to a seamstress in Austin to fix it. The dress had not been cleaned as promised, the hem was done unprofessionally, and the bodice had to be redone.
