I was 1 week post partum with an old month old blow out. I went in knowing I 100% needed a protein treatment and later on some detangling and a trim, but only went for the protein treatment for my curls and a wash n go. I appreciate stylist that do what's best for the health of the hair and never walk in with an ego bc who doesn't want healthy hair. I let them trick me into doing a regular moisturizing treatment which was dumb When it came to the wash and go - as sweet as the stylist was, she did not properly apply the product to my hair. Basically slapped it on and left me looking busted. I had to tell her to add water to my hair before adding the mousse/gel combo. She didn't bother smoothing or raking the product properly. She said to diffusing would be better even after I told her my hair won't dry with that....it didn't even matter bc she diffused with no curls in site. I wish I took pictures of what my head looked like leaving the salon vs my wash n gos at home or at my other salon. Almost $200 later - I found myself at home redoing my wash n go which looks perfect after having to wash my hair all over again. Idk what motivated them to put KERITIN in our heads BUT it completed ruined our natural hair. My hair is fine, so it honestly only takes a blow dryer to straighten it. It is very curly because duhhhhh we have west African roots but the chemical was never needed when the heat was already going to be applied - in my case the woman doing my hair blow dried it straight and thought she was done until I asked for a flat iron: that's how FINE my hair is. My hair has been super straight for the last 2 months because I accepted the deep conditioner and was not aware it had keratin in it. My curls are slowly coming back but its really annoying that I can't wash and go anymore because of the chemical application. I honestly am kind of sad. They do not know how to do natural 4c hair. They washed my hair but to detangle it took 2-3 woman. All they had to do was section it and detangle it one section at a time but I could not tell them this because my spanish knowledge precludes me to. I thought since they were a dominican hair salon and some dominicans have my hair texture they would know what to do but I guess not.

Mind you, I couldn't cancel on StyleSeat because she had already charged my card in advance for a service I didn't book. I came in for a color and a cut for my natural hair ... girllllll lemmie tell you . Sorayah , she is the owner , and the one who did my color and cut--- she def hooked me up . I appreciate the fact she took me as a client even though I didn't have an appointment which I truly appreciate it . I have already gotten a lot of compliments I must say..
