Service was great! Loved the Ambiance, and then there is the beer, absolutely delicious! Just what we needed after a long day of work, we will be going back this week LOL

Waited 15min only to walk up to your doors just to be turned away. Need to update your business hours on Yelp.

Cool Bartender, Tasty Imperial Stout, Casual Tasting Room. I like this local brewer. Ultra Dog Friendly, good customers who all love dogs and beer (2 Green Flags), and different food trucks visit every weekend. Get the NOW YER SKREWED! Best beer on the menu. Say hi to the dogs, give them treats, be a good person.

Where Acoustic Ales used to be! Tasters for $8

Latchkey Brewing took over the space that used to belong to the previous brewery, Acoustic Ales. I haven't visited the area in a few years, so I was shocked to see a different name. However, I was glad to see that another brewery took its spot. We came by before flying out of the airport, so it was a great way to bid farewell to the city. We both ordered taster flights, which came in a grand total of 4 for $8. There is a wiiiiide selection. You've got your light pilsners and ales, then a good amount of IPAs, Belgians, and a select few sours and darker stouts and porters. There will definitely be something for everyone. I wasn't entirely blown away by all of the beers, but I enjoyed their hilarious beer names. My favorites were the monkey belgians and the Kickin' and Screaming hazy PA! Delicious and juicy. They also sell merch like tees, provide serve-yourself water, and have a partnership with a local Italian food truck. However, you have to call and place an order...then walk/drive over to pick it up if you don't want to wait 15 mins for delivery. We ended up not getting food truck eats, and brought our own snacks instead (sorry Latchkey! Didn't know if y'all were cool with that). Our taptender was a friendly bearded man who was SO wonderful. 5 stars to you sir for taking our polaroid pic for us. The setup of the space (especially where we were behind the sliding wooden doors) could be more thoughtfully curated. I LOVE that there's shuffleboard, fooseball, 2 TVs (awkwardly hung up) and large checkers! There is so much potential in this space, but there should totally be more moving around of furniture for better flow. The restrooms are clean though. The parking situation was rough for us because we didn't think to do street parking along Hancock St, so when we turned onto Washington (the busy street) we thought we could go down the one-way road to get parking structure spots. NOPE. Kurtz is a one-way, employee-only street. So customers beware! We ended up walking from our street parking area and later saw signs for parking in a parking structure, but ya have to pay for that.

The customer service was great really nice beertender. My hubby said the beers were delicious. So 3 stars because they have nothing for people who are driving. Literally they have carb and sugar loaded waters and carb and sugar loaded soda in the bottle. No regular water in a bottle just tap which was really bad tasting.. I would go back if they had some choices for celiac people that wasn't loaded with sugar and carbs...

    Latchkey Flight......

Katie behind the counter was a delight. Got some recommendations from her and all beers were yummy. Not a sour guy but they just brewed "It's My Jam". Kettle sour with Rasberries. Delicious. Great little spot to stop by if you're shopping at Costco or about to go play some pickleball at Kings like I'm about to do. Beers are so good I don't even remember the name of the brewery that it used to be a month ago. Haha. That's for you Katie

Great beers and food. The Pastrami Stand makes amazing pastrami dips. My favorite beer is an imperial stout aged in a Screwball whiskey barrel. Try a taster... Even if you're not a stout drinker, it's delicious.

We hosted our wedding here in September, and from the first tour, we knew there was no better…read moresetting. The venue itself is stunning- light-filled, elegant, and perfectly positioned overlooking the bay. It offered everything we were looking for aesthetically and logistically. Overall sentiment: This is a gorgeous venue that makes an incredible first impression. However, the experience with the venue's coordination and communication didn't live up to the beauty of the space. If you're detail-oriented or able to stay on top of planning logistics yourself, you can absolutely make it work, but if you're hoping for hands-on, consistent support from the venue team, you may want to budget for extra help. 2) Pros Beautiful location: The ceremony site overlooks the bay between palm trees, truly breathtaking and perfect for photos (though note in Sept the grass was pretty brown/dead- it's maintained by the city of San Diego, not the Point). Gorgeous interior: The reception space is full of natural light, with beautiful wooden tables (no need for linens) and a chandelier draped with greenery and lights, which helped us save on décor and flowers. Flexible vendor policy: We loved that we could choose our own caterer and bring in our own alcohol, this flexibility gave us creative control and helped manage costs. Spacious and well laid out: The venue comfortably fit around 150 guests, with smooth transitions between ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. 3) Cons Customer service inconsistencies: Communication often lagged, and we had to double-check details multiple times to make sure nothing was missed. Frequent staff changes: Our main contact kept shifting. Different team members joined calls without being fully briefed, and we occasionally received conflicting information. Day-of coordination issues: We weren't introduced to our "day-of coordinator" until a week before the wedding. She left after our grand entrance and handed us off to someone we'd never met, which felt unprofessional and confusing. The event timeline fell behind, the grand entrance was delayed by about 30 minutes, and no one notified us so we could adjust. From that point on we were late on the whole timeline, and we ended up missing "golden hour" for sunset portraits. I wish she would have approached me at the scheduled time for the grand entrance to check in with me on making it happen. Last-minute changes: Floor plans were delayed several times, and even at the rehearsal, staff were suggesting new tweaks instead of finalizing details earlier. Parking challenges: Guest parking was extremely crowded, and we weren't warned this could be an issue, which led to confusion and delays. No bridal suite/bathrooms: There is no availabiltiy to get ready on site- they don't have a bridal suite and the bathroom is a small one toilet room, or a group of stalls shared by the Mission Bay Acquatic Center- you will have to get ready offsite and then sneak into the venue through the catering entrance in the parking lot. In summary: This is a truly beautiful venue. But the organizational side could use improvement. If you're someone who can stay on top of the details (or hire a planner to help), it's absolutely worth it for the setting. Just be prepared to take the lead on coordination to ensure your day runs smoothly.

Located right on the water in beautiful Mission Bay, it offers a rare mix of indoor and outdoor space with stunning views and a relaxed, beachy vibe that's perfect for weddings, receptions, and large celebrations. What sets Tower Beach Club apart is not just its location, but how user-friendly it is. You can bring in your own vendors (like me!), which gives clients more flexibility and control over their event. It's truly just a beautiful, open canvas of a venue. The built-in bar is spacious and perfect for bartending services, and there's ample room for setups of all sizes. Another huge plus: parking! The large lot makes it incredibly convenient for guests and vendors alike--something you don't find at many venues in San Diego. The owners are also fantastic to work with--responsive, accommodating, and professional. If you're looking for a venue that's scenic, versatile, and vendor-friendly, I highly recommend Tower Beach Club. It's always a pleasure to work there, and my clients love it just as much as I do. The vendors they work with are top-notch. We received tons of compliments on the tacos and the photo booth was a huge hit. (This wasn't your average setup--it was a high-end experience where you can customize the photo strip design, pick your backdrop, and choose from options like GIFs, photo series, and more!) The space itself is open concept, essentially a blank canvas with tons of potential for decor, and perfectly located in the heart of Pacific Beach. I was just trying to grab a single mixer, yet it took way longer than expected because there didn't seem to be any clear system for serving people. It also didn't help that most people were ordering canned cocktails--which should have kept things moving--but the line still felt disorganized. On top of that, people were cutting in line without any staff stepping in, which made the wait even more irritating. What really stood out was the lack of water availability upstairs. When I asked about it, the bartender gave a vague explanation about water not being allowed upstairs, which honestly didn't make much sense. I get that there may be policies, but offering bottled water for purchase seems like a simple fix--and that wasn't an option either. Overall, it's a decent spot if you're just looking to grab a drink and hang by the pool, and the vibe itself is nice. That said, I want to stay fair--this is just my experience, and I'm sharing it so others know what to expect. Since it's part of a hotel, it does feel like guests may be prioritized, so if you're not staying there, just be prepared for a potentially slower, less organized experience.
