[[HIGHLIGHT]]It was so chill here. Such a nice place to grab some drinks and hang out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There were lots of different beers to choose from. We got the flight, which was 4 for $11. It came with some pretzels [[HIGHLIGHT]]Some inside seating and outside seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was good. Will most likely return when in the area.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The Vibe: You can't beat the great location. It's right in the heart of the action and has a cool, inviting energy that makes it a perfect hangout spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Logistics: Fair warning--parking is a nightmare. Give yourself extra time to circle the block or be prepared to walk a few blocks. It's definitely not a "pull up to the front door" kind of place. The Price: The beer is quality, but the prices are steep. We're talking $10 for a single beer, which feels a bit heavy even for a craft brewery. The Standout: The customer service was excellent. The staff is knowledgeable, welcoming, and really knows their stuff when it comes to the tap list.

Culture Brewing is the perfect place to pop in for a beer before seeing a show at the Belly Up. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great beer, super spacious, friendly staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Support the local beer scene, folks!

Hubby and I are not big "beer" people but describing myself as one who can drink well with others, I'm always eager to participate! Appreciatively for those who are gluten sensitive, many of their beers are gluten-free, and state when not gluten reduced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I like the open-&-airy atmosphere, offering fun options for indoor and ample outdoor seating (with some heaters available, although I couldn't really feel the heat, sitting right next to one).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered their Taster Box (a flight of four generous 4 oz. pours for $11; $7 on Tuesdays!); the flights are attractively served in cigar box tops or bottoms, with some salted pretzels (nice touch; however, my thoughts not gluten-free)! Staff was pleasant and patient. Fun find and one in which I would be happy to return!

Loved our visit to Culture Brewing in Solana Beach! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The indoor area is small but cozy, and the outdoor space in the back is spacious, shaded, and filled with plenty of tables--perfect for relaxing with friends or enjoying a sunny day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was a pop-up stand making fresh pizzas, and they were surprisingly good--crispy crust, great flavors, and a nice bonus to go with the beer. I had the Nut Brown Ale, and it was absolutely delicious--smooth, rich, and super satisfying. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, great atmosphere, tasty beer, and a solid setup. Can't wait to come back![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great brewery with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The beers on tap were very good and I have been here several times, and had almost everything, but I do love their black current hibiscus sour. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also have a small art exhibit going on and we met the artist of the month which was cool.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They usually have a food truck in the back, but there are plenty of dining options around Culture brewing, we always make a stop at Pizza Port just up the street. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a great atmosphere, the service here is quick and easy, which keeps me coming back here whenever I am in the area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Love this place! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Initially we went to revisit the location in encinitas however it was a Sunday and super packed, which is great however we had two kids with us and just wanted to relax so we chose to drive to the main location in Solana and we were so happy we did![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Whenever I come visit, my friend always takes me here and I really enjoy their beer selection, this time was no different. The beers were delicious and the Solana location was amazing! We had such a great visit! We will definitely be coming back next time I am in town! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great drinks, great staff and awesome ambiance![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will see you again!

This review is for the non beer drinkers with beer drinking friends. I'm always a bit nervous to go to a brewery because I hate beer, the up shoot here is that they had multiple options for me, alcoholic and non alcoholic. It made the hangout process easier. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall the service was good and the back patio setting is lovely and includes (at least sometimes) a taco truck.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Yes there are heat lamps in the cold.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a great, lovely spot for a casual drink with a friend or a pre-Belly Up meet up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Enjoy it!

Half the menu, I missed the other half. But mostly IPAs

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Culture Brewing is a chill brewpub on Cedros Ave Design District in Solana Beach.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's part of a larger group of brewpubs but they do a significant amount of brewing on the premises. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place has a very open layout with a garage door front that opens the front up completely. There's also a fairly large outdoor patio in the back[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The front has a few bar height tables but most of the seating is in back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There's a small bar that There was a separate taco stand in the back that appears permanent. You pick up your beers at the counter in front and take them where you are seated. The staff will gladly give you a taste before you go all in on a pint. There are 3, 10 and 16 oz pours and 32 oz growler cans for take away. Also, a selection of canned beers to take with you. [[HIGHLIGHT]]On a nice Saturday afternoon, the place was busy but there always seats/tables available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The beer selection was mainly IPAs, a brown ale and a few Belgian styles. The French Saison very good could be a little funkier. I also enjoyed the 3 Citrus Gose. Generally, all of the beers I've had here including previous visits are very good. The beers were served in proper glassware for the aficionados. There are also hard seltzers on draft but I've not tried any of them. There are some salty snacks for sale in case you show up on an empty stomach. The servers were all very prompt and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, a chill place to spend an afternoon and drink some good beer![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I don't have a dog but the place seems VERY dog friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a great spot... You can get some beers abd people watch on Cedros or take them to the back deck and chill out...[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've been coming here for years... It's a really good spot to drink a couple before heading into the belly up for a show.. the beertenders are always really nice and helpful... The beers are pretty good as well!

A great spot for a few beers or to add to your brew crawl day. I took the train up from downtown SD and it was an easy walk from the train station. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is laid out great and they have a nice patio as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The beer selection is just enough as I'm not a fan of to many choices. The staff is friendly and is open to chat about what beer/seltzer will work. I always return when I'm in the area.

This is a relatively small micro-brewery in the center of downtown Solano Beach. They serve a small variety of tacos that we did not indulge in, but the offer a very good variety of craft beers, including a very good chocolate oatmeal stout and black IPA. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Friendly staff, great location.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Culture is such a great spot to go for a delicious beer in Solana Beach. The service was so great that I felt like we were friends with the person who helped us choose drinks and the person who was running the guest pizza oven out back. The patio is a perfect place to chill, in comfy chairs or at a picnic table. See you there again soon!

Freshly arrived and checked in to our hotel in Del Mar, we asked the front desk for a…read morerecommendation and she said this was a good upscale sports bar. I saw I had already bookmarked it for their highly rated fish and chips, and it was only half a mile away so we decided to walk. It was a beautiful walk along the beach, surfers everywhere reminded me of my college days at UCSD and how big the surfing culture is here. After we passed the train tracks we took a left and had a quarter mile walk straight up the hill! It was definitely a tough little hike for us out of shapers, but it was just enough to get some exercise and work up our appetites and thirst. We put our name down for window seats and stood at the bar while watching the NBA finals. We ordered a couple aperol spritz and were throughly enjoying the vibe and view. Everyone here was super friendly, great customer service and was surprised to see how packed it was late afternoon on a Tuesday. Our server later told us it's like that every night. We had to wait about 15-20 mins for our table but we were fine, then got seated right by the window. The view was amazing, drinks were strong, and some excellent fish and chips and appetizers. The bar even gave a little speech, where the bartender read a poem, apparently a nightly tradition. Cool touch. Great place for families, groups or couples. Recommend!

Dear Senior Management Team,…read more My family I visited Monarch Ocean Pub on mother day, expecting to have a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed by the behavior of one of your managers, Hope. My mother was on the phone with my sister through FaceTime, simply talking and enjoying herself. Hope approached my mother in a very aggressive and unprofessional manner, standing extremely close to her and angrily telling her to hang up the phone and stop recording, even though my mother was not recording anyone. I tried to explain that my mother does not speak English very well, but instead of handling the situation professionally, Hope accused me of being rude, told us to leave, and threatened to call the police. Her behavior made both my mother and me feel very upset, uncomfortable, and unwelcome. She also stood very close to us and made physical contact by touching me, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. No customer should be treated this way. We came to your business hoping to enjoy ourselves and receive good service, but instead we experienced rude, aggressive, and unacceptable treatment from a manager. I hope senior management will address this situation seriously so that no other customers have to go through the same experience. Because of this incident, we do not feel comfortable returning to that location.

(Dined/Drank 06/10/26 WE @ 5:00pm): Gravity kept me from elevating to new heights at this brewery!…read more A friend recommended Gravity Heights' Sorrento Valley location to get caught with each other, but she ended up bailing at the last minute due to work. If you knew me, I always searched for breweries wherever I may be, so I was stoked to visit a brewery new to me. Founded in early 2019 by Arturo Kassel (Whisknladle CEO) and Skip Virgilio (AleSmith co-founder) by a chance encounter, Kassel wanted to move away from typical industrial taprooms and create a space with elevated food and a bright, coastal aesthetic that appealed to the tech-heavy workforce in the area. In 2024, they have since opened a second location in nearby Mission Valley. To what heights did gravity allow me to enjoy this brewery!? PURCHASE(S) Gravity Heights Sandbar Golden Ale Blonde Beer 5.2% ABV 16floz Draft ($8.00 HH): Bright golden amber color, citrusy malty piney aroma, light body, citrusy malty piney flavor, crisp refreshing finish, and citrusy malty slight bitter aftertaste. Shrimp Aguachile ($11.00 HH): A big portion of mixed avocado, cilantro, red onion, and shrimp with homemade tortilla chips, this ceviche-like dish was fresh, hearty, and a meal on its own - amazing! Gravity Heights June Gloom Hazy NEIPA Beer 7.0% ABV 16floz Draft ($8.00 HH): Bright hazy amber color, citrus hoppy tropical aroma, light body, citrus hoppy tropical flavor, juicy finish, and citrus hoppy tropical aftertaste. Paloma Cocktail ($10.00 HH): Crafted with Real Del Valle blanco tequila, grapefruit and lime juices, simple syrup, and soda water, this was refreshing and went down way too quickly. Gravity Heights Haulin' Oats Oatmeal Stout Beer 5.3% ABV 16floz Draft ($8.00 HH): Dark brown color, chocolate coffee roasty aroma, heavy body, beany coffee roasty flavor, drying finish, and beany roasty slight bitter aftertaste. 12" Diablo Pizza 6pc ($23.00): Made with tomato sauce, fontina and mozzarella cheeses, spicy calabrese, jalapenos, pickled fresnos, and chili flakes on a somewhat thin crispy crunchy slightly charred crust, this made my mouth tingle from the first bite and i loved it! Kind of pricey, though. Logo Beer Pint Glass ($10.00): I needed some local brewery glassware for the new place, so this seemed like as good a time as any. SERVICE Warmly greeted by two gentlemen behind the bar as I parked my ass on a barstool, I was given menus and a rundown of their happy hour which was going on (yes!). I quickly took advantage of the happy hour specials before they ended. My initial drink arrived immediately while everything else was received just as quickly. The place was packed, so I was amazed by the attentive service (I was frequently checked on as empties were removed). Once I was done, there was no pressure to vacate my stool - outstanding! PARKING (FREE): Although they had their own decent-sized lot, it was full, so thankfully I found a spot on the nearby street (carefully read all posted street signs; I had to in this case!) - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A clean modern open spacious layout with plenty of both standard interior seating and exterior covered patio seating with a large central well-appointed bar. Minimal to no promotional items were present. This place was impressive! Plenty of natural lighting in this quasi-exposed floorplan while an assortment of electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were several muted TVs mainly at the bar and throughout while classic rock & roll music played in the background. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I had a wonderful time at Sorrento valley's Gravity Heights and would visit again... or at least the Mission Valley location which was closer to me. They had plenty of beers on tap, the food was tasty, the prices were relatively comparable, the food menu was plentiful, and the service was great. Unsure if furry family members were allowed. Daily happy hour specials (3pm-6pm) and almost certain nightly entertainment such as trivia, music, and more was available. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $84.00 BEFORE any discounts, points usage, and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS
