Usually places are lacking in some department; boba being not cooked in the center or no flavor, tea being watered down or low quality, milk not being high quality and creamy. Came back to Latea Lounge after an awesome Yelp Elite event. They still had samples of the boba they make so if you've never had boba, you can try the topping. It's all self service ordering which I thought was strange. No physical menu to browse while you wait in line so it was time consuming on the tablet for some people. If you've never been to a boba tea shop before you wouldn't know how it all worked, sweetness levels, toppings, etc. I had a guest with me who has never heard of boba before so she didn't know what to get and we stood at the tablet going through all the options. I can't imagine when the full menu comes out what that experience may be like. Overall great (if not the best) tasting milk tea in Denver. This time I got the ube creme brulee which was to die for! Sweet, extra creamy, and thick like a dessert. Soooo good. I also added the honey boba, which this time were hard and not chewy like before. The official grand opening for Latea isn't until some time in April. However, they have already soft opened with limited hours and a limited menu to get everything up to speed. I have already been twice and while they offer a shortened menu, it impresses certainly the senses given the offerings. I ordered a mountain high oolong milk tea with boba less sweet on both visits. If you want to visit Taiwan without actually taking a flight, this is the place! The flavors still hit with a gentle yet pronounced approach and the boba texture is perfect. We were very lucky to be invited to a tasting. Here's a sneak peek of what's to come! First was an intro to the type of boba that they make. He's very proud of his Grandmothers boba recipe made from scratch with tapioca starch. They use brown sugar that's roasted in house to get that mineral smoky caramel flavor. The second tasting was the Grapefruit Green tea. Fresh squeezed Grapefruit with pulp you can see and feel in your mouth. With roasted real Jasmine Green Tea flowers. This tea is served with a unique type of Longan honey with a very unique flavor. This is a very refreshing type of drink. The third tasting was the Tiramisu Milk Tea. This is like a dessert in a cup. With both the tiramisu and crème brûlée layered in the cup there's nowhere to go but dive in straw first into that madly tempting cup. It's house-made chocolate ganache. Jack, Wei, Matt, and all of the staff at Latea hosted a great event. I loved hearing about the beginnings of the business from Jack's days at Purdue. Using traditional recipes, he envisioned a bubble tea restaurant with in-house boba, traditional ingredients (like brown sugar and cane sugar instead of corn syrup), and innovative recipes that I hope will be successful in Denver. The grapefruit jasmine tea and the milk tea were excellent. I wouldn't change a thing. I'm glad they were served half sweet. I really enjoyed the matcha crème brûlée flavors. However, I thought it was a little visually unappealing, especially after mixing it together a little bit. The crème brûlée looked a bit like curdled milk. But again, the flavor was great. I particularly liked the matcha. The tiramisu tea will probably be a hit, but it wasn't for me. It was too rich, but I'm also not the biggest fan of chocolate. The presentation was beautiful. The nut tart was excellent. The mix of in-house roasted nuts was delicious. I think the crust was a little generic when compared with the unique drink recipes that we got to experience. I am not a big fan of Boba but this is completely different! These boba's are made in house and are a true game changer for me. I never knew the difference but there is a huge difference in made from scratch and with love than bought in a package. Make sure you are charged based on the menu. Drink price shows $7.75 for a large drink but cashier tried to charge an extra $1 for size, charged $1 for 2% milk. You get "substitute" milk if you don't pay the extra $1. My drink with a $1 tip was just under $12. Not worth it. read more

Located in that outside corridor between Macy's and Perry's Steakhouse at Park Meadows Mall, the store is a cute little cafe / lounge for milk tea / fruit tea, coffee, and other snacks. A friend bought a bunch of brown sugar milk teas to a potluck and they were delicious. At 75% sugar, the sweetness was just right for me. I spend quite a bit of time in Lone Tree and the Park Meadows are while my kiddo is at his extracurricular activities so I decided to check them out on a late afternoon visit. I tried the tropical punch with less ice and with longan honey boba. They use the passion hibiscus tea for this drink and it was plenty sweet at 75% but so refreshing. I might go down to 50% next time. The boba was a little chewier than I would like, but my son who tasted my drink later said it was just fine. I also took a phone call while relaxing on the couch in the store, so it was a nice and relaxing atmosphere to hang out in between retail therapy sessions. read more

Had to come back here after the stellar yelp event, and it did not disappoint. As soon as we entered the beautifully decorated and clean space, we were warmly greeted and offered samples. There are large panels on the wall that describe some of the teas, and a large menu board above the ordering area. Ordering at the self-ordering kiosk was a breeze. We ordered the grapefruit tea, ube drink, mango smoothie, and brown sugar milk tea. One at 25% sweetness and the rest at 50% sweetness. Drinks can be adjusted to your preference at 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, and 125%. Each drink tasted fantastic. Finally a boba shop where you can really taste the tea flavor in the drink. 50% sweetness was just right for our taste. The boba was perfection in terms of both flavor and texture. We will be back for sure and I will enthusiastically recommend this to anyone looking for good boba. read more

Funny, we came to park meadows to get boba from the boba stand inside of the mall... that is until a worker from Latea approached us with samples that made us reconsider and give them a try. Currently they have a limited menu, but I still had a hard time choosing a drink (this is typical). I gave in and ordered a Thai milk tea with their house made brown sugar boba. It was fantastic!! I love that their boba is home made. I also got to try a sip of my brother's Strawberry Matcha Latte and that was probably one of the best matcha lattes I've ever had. Wanted to first say thank you to Matt, Yelp, and Latea Lounge for putting on this awesome event! It was a great learning as well as food experience. The opportunity to learn from the owners about how they built their brand as well as the passion and creativity they put into the food product was amazing! Their boba tea and other drink products are great! Their classic boba tea truly tasted of tea and was not watered down like other boba chains. The boba is also handmade from scratch and it definitely makes a difference in their product. We also got to sample their matcha creme brûlée, grapefruit jasmine tea, and tiramisu drink. All were delicious and reflected their creativity in tea. My personal favorite was the tiramisu as it was rich and coffee forward. It really did feel like I was drinking a tiramisu! We got ourselves the Ube Crème Brûlée, Mango Float, and Crème Brûlée Matcha Latte. You can tell the ingredients they use are fresh and premium. I love their customizable options (i.e., the sweetness and ice level can be adjusted). Costumer service was good. I ordered mine half sugar and was good. I think less sugar (75%) is perfect. Our favorite among the three is the Mango Cloud followed by the Ube Crème Brûlée. Their in-house made boba was fresh and perfectly cooked with soft chewy texture. Parking maybe a little difficult. Upon entering, there was a crowd of at least 3 parties waiting to self-order. There were 3 employees visible. Eventually the male employee approached the counter and took 1 party's order before returning to the back. I ordered via self-service kiosk. One single hot tea took 14 minutes from the time I paid. My family walked to a different storefront and returned with ice cream in the time between placing my order and receiving it. While waiting, a female employee asked me if I was waiting for the coconut cream, which I was, and I said yes. She continued to rearrange the straws already in the container on the counter, before returning to the kitchen area. When I finally received the drink, the cup was an awful mess... milk had been spilled down the side which melted the corrugated paper on the cup. My sincerest apologies to the handful of stores I'm sure I dripped tea in. The drink itself was tasty but incredibly weak, so overall quite underwhelming. I brought my family here for the first time today. I've been here once before and haven't been since. I love the location, it's convenient to stop by to grab your boba fix to go shopping. Although it's not the most quietest. Service was a little slower today since they were busy. I didn't mind at all. Our cashier told us as we were checking out which I really appreciated. I love how their menu is simple without making the menus too complicated. You can also decide how much sugar, ice and what type of dairy you want in your drink. I will warn you, the caffeine in the boba is intense compared to other boba shops. We all felt jittery.
