7/15/17 Went in to get my lip piercing re pierced on Saturday, Jorge greeted me as soon as I walked in and was very helpful and answered all my questions. Got my lip re pierced by another artist (i think his name was Richard). He was nice and walked me through it and the after care of the healing process. The first time I got my lip pierced I went elsewhere and it was painful and my lip got really swollen but this time it went pretty well and painless. Jorge told me to come back to switch out my bar for a smaller one once it healed more. I went in three days later and sure enough he changed my piercing free of charge like he promised. These guys look like they value their customers and that's the kind of thing you look for as a customer. I'll def be recommending Latin Skulls. 3 months later and my right ear is hurting again. So bizarre. I was removing my earrings before my shower and blood started to drain. I thought it was way too much blood for one tiny piercing. I called Kaiser's emergency line to speak with a nurse and she advised not to remove the earring because the infection may spread by getting trapped inside when the piercing closes. I originally went to Latin skulls in June with a friend to get my Tragus pierced with Jorge. From the beginning I noticed how sanitary and careful he was. Everything he used was sterilized and he would completely clean he station, from the table to the chairs we sat on, before he brought in another customer. He also made explained the procedure and how important after care is for the healing process. I left very satisfied with my experience. However, It was my first cartilage piercing and my ear has had a difficult time healing since then. Three months in I noticed a small bump had developed on the piercing that would come and go. I went back with Jorge and he took care of it. About a month ago the bump retuned with a vengeance. Full disclosure: I neglected the after care and tried to change my piercing. BIG MISTAKE! It grew twice the original size and my ear was starting to hurt and itch. I was very disappointed because I really wanted to keep the piercing but it was to much of hassle and i was beginning to worry about keloid scarring.I was to the point where I was just going to take it out and call it a day. Instead after some carful consideration, I went back to Jorge. He told me it was infected. He cleaned it out, put two Silicone discs, a new piercing, and told me to come back in two weeks. Within a couple of days, I could see and feel the difference. The bump had reduced in size significantly and the pain subsided. In a week, the bump was gone. When I went back to get the discs removed, the piercing had almost healed. Now, about two weeks after, the piercing looks as it did the first day. I honestly can't believe that Jorge was able to save my piercing but most importantly he keep my ear healthy and free from scarring. I would most definitely come back and would recommend other to come to Latin Skulls. read more

Came here a week ago after my cousin recommended them. I went to a different shop to get the daith piercing and due to poor aftercare instructions and wrong size jewelry, I had two bumps grow on the piercing site. I was able to schedule a same day appointment and the procedure went amazingly! I was giving super clear aftercare instructions along with an aftercare solution to apply. Extremely disappointed in their customer service. I've been coming to the shop for a couple years and have had tattoo and piercing-related work done. I was ready and excited to get another tattoo and after messaging them (like I previously have been during quarantine) about a consultation they read my message and ignored it for a few days. ( they usually responded promptly to my previous messages) A few days later I had My friend messaged them to ask for information in which they quickly responded. After feeling ignored/not wanting my business I asked them if I should go somewhere else. They immediately took offense to my comment, "liked it" by double tapping the message, and told me the comment was unnecessary. I replied by saying I didn't expect to be ignored and Just wanted information on tattoo prices for me and my friend that way We can come in as soon as possible. They continued to say the comment was unnecessary and failed to provide me with any information. I told them I didn't want to argue back and forth and I just wanted information which ultimately resulted in them blocking me. I kept the conversation respectful and tried to refocus the conversation back to prices in which they kept complaining about my "should I go somewhere else" comment. Never have I ever received such bad customer service from such a reputable shop. Their responses and actions were extremely childish, petty, unprofessional, and seemed like they don't know how to work or communicate with customers. Felt like I was talking to a high schooler with a sassy attitude. Looks like they took things way to personal and couldn't handle it. He was out eating which I thought was really considerate. It's super clean and the workers there were really nice. I came to this shop with an idea for a tattoo and a drawing of a Pin-Up. I put a deposit down, and returned a few weeks later to see what David Hughes had drawn up. He had did exactly what I envisioned when I came in to the shop. He surpassed my expectations, as if he was inside my head from the begining. Alex was my piercer and let me take this moment to say she was amazing. It was quick and painless and she had me out the door in less than 20 minutes. Need I repeat: it was virtually painless! The shop is very clean and the tattoo artists look very capable, especially a portfolio I was looking at (I think Sandra was her name). In regards to the piercer, it's healing nicely, it doesn't feel very sore but she did make the aftercare portion a little brief which was disappointing. So one thing I'd like to add is: for the whole healing process, avoid moving the piercing so much because it will irritate the piercing channel. I have to flip it in for work, so just to avoid the unneeded irritation, I'm keeping it like that during the remainder of the healing process. If you constantly move it, it'll hurt and be sore. So I called 3 times, for them to finally say - they'd see me. Then I get there and the owner says something completely different than I was told on the phone. Why'd you make me drive 40 min to deny me when you could have just told me on the phone? Or rely this message of the many times I called? Great artists I'm sure but - bad customer service.
