My friend came to visit, and we decided to go to Latitudes for a quick bite since we didn't want to drive far. The place was nicely decorated for the holidays and they also had live music. We chose to sit outside and the service was smooth. I ordered the salmon which was delicious and perfectly moist, though my quinoa was a bit bland to my taste. My friend enjoyed his shrimp dish. My only critique is that our server came as we were having our last bites to ask if she could bring the check, rather than asking if we wanted anything else. I was actually planning to order another class of that Chardonnay, but I went to the wine bar next door for it. Our server was very young and sweet, so perhaps just need a little more experience. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

Had a pretty disappointing outing at Latitudes. It was around 1pm on Saturday we went in for lunch, and the place was dead. About 12 people in the place. After ordering our food, it took over 40 minutes for it to come out, and by that time only 4 other people remained in the restaurant. When we asked about what the delay was we were ignored multiple times. We were told it was our peel n eat shrimp APPETIZER they were waiting on. Anyone who has made shrimp knows it takes minutes to cook and an immediate ice bath to cool down. It was very frustrating. Additionally the smashed burger came out lukewarm and the expectation with a smash burger is that it's smashed (thin) but these were rather thick and slightly pink inside. The fries were also very salty. The shrimp were however very good and fresh, but that was about it.

    Traditional breakfast

Here on a Sunday because they have a brunch menu, The menu has about 10 to 15 options approximately and I went with the traditional breakfast of eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes and toast. I have to say it was very delicious and I received just enough. My wife went with the breakfast burger which has an egg and bacon with a side of breakfast potatoes. It was a nice size burger that my wife was only able to eat a few bites. Our friends dining with us ordered chicken & waffles and shrimp & grits. They both said that their meals ( not pictured ) were delicious and the one thing that was pleasant was the chicken is a boneless breast. The service was very good and the bill was about what I thought it would be. If in Apollo Beach it's definitely worth trying

We had a great dinner here on an early Sunday evening. We shared Wonton Wrapped Shrimp - yummy. I chose the "build your bowl" with Salmon, rice, spinach. Lots of bowl choices, and mine was very good. He got the fried shrimp plate with rice and green beans. Nice big shrimp, delicious. Maria was our server - friendly, excellent. Ambiance is intimate, sports bar, tables, high tops, bar side. Had the games on. Nice big menu. Affordable. Recommend for sure .

Awesome Sunday brunch and food and staff in general are great. It can be a bit loud inside when a band is playing, but always a great time.

It is ALWAYS a good practice to ask the server for dessert recs because odds are, they're going to suggest something you'd never consider and thank goodness she did. She suggested the Pistachio Ricotta Torta and the amaretto cookie gelato, so we got both of those as well as some chocolate gelato. I am not typically an amaretto girlie, but that gelato was arguably the best I've ever had. Never had anything like it before, truly phenomenal. The chocolate was great too, really some of the better gelato I've had, but that amaretto cookie flavor with the little cookie pieces... truly DIABOLICAL!!!! The torta was also so delicious!!

Located in The Vinoy hotel, this spot is an experience from the beginning! A stunning bar dominates the space as you enter, complimented with a mix of art deco, modern, and lux finishes. Seating for every group size makes this perfect for a drink with a friend, dinner with the family, or a larger gathering! It surprisingly felt approachable, not ostentatious. Service was top notch throughout our dinner, providing an elevated experience from start to finish! Enjoyed the Early Retirement to drink, which was a slightly cherry/fruity version of an Old Fashioned. The Whipped Ricotta was my favorite dish: creamy, sweet, nutty perfection! The meatballs were tasty, yet failed to stand out as anything original. The Radiatore alla Vodka was delicious with perfectly al dente pasta and a rich sauce! The Lacquered Brick Chicken had the PERFECT sauce for those of you that love umami and I appreciated the mushrooms paired with the perfectly cooked chicken. Really great spot for a special occasion or elevated experience in the area!

I was able to order a sirloin and eggs, plenty of protein to start my day. Ashley was working this morning and was very happy to share some news of their uniquely delicious dessert options. If you are a dessert person and dine out then you know how boring it can't be in the Tampa area. You get the same old lava cake, key lime pie, Apple something with caramel drenched on it and the peanut butter pie and cheesecake. Well finally the Bistro decided to take it up a notch and get a lemon cello cake, a chocolate torte. So for a short time if one of these desserts appeals to you hurry over before they are gone. Ambiance is casual and open lots of seating options from booths to high tops to regular tables and bar seating too. I saw the flatbread on the menu and knew it would be just perfect portion and flavor. Nothing else on the menu matched what I was hungry for since I didn't want anything too heavy. The third time we were concerned, a little piece of glass had fallen in our food. The server and the manager were nice but the manager seemed to think that the solution was for the servers to slow down. That doesn't make sense to me but ok. They did remake a plate to go for us, so that was nice. The food was a little meh to me. The short ribs could have used some salt or seasoning before making the ravioli's (same with the chicken parm) just a suggestion. Pasta tasted undercooked and as if it was box pasta. I've lived in nyc and have had some really good Italian food there so I'm a little critical. I think Olivia is a little more hype and a nice ambiance for being in south Tampa than good food.

If the food were 50% cheaper you'd probably be willing to overlook its shortcomings for the ambiance. There's little seasoning to be found on anything so everything is bland. Even the fries are completely lacking in salt. The grouper was breaded nicely and cooked properly but it was almost tasteless. The bacon carried my wife's Crab BLT because everything was so bland for her. The lobster dip appetizer had uncooked Parmesan sprinkled on the bread that was neither bruschetta nor dipping bread so it just didn't work well as an appetizer either.
