Cons: they got our order wrong but we didn't notice until after we left. The coffee was bad. It's not espresso based, it's drip coffee. $5 for a cup of coffee you can make at home. I've been going to this place for six years waiting for the owner to one day smile at me, it finally happened when I was holding my 1 year old. That's weird to me. This mom and pop shop is quaint with enough options of basic breakfast items, sandwiches, and drinks. I got a warm chocolate pastry with a chai latte. I liked how the chai latte was less sweet, yet frothy. There's not a lot of tables, but enough. People seem to come and go quickly. OK, they had me at the name. How can you resist a coffeeshop with the name of "Latte Da"? It's located on Oak Park Blvd in the Oak Park shopping center, not far from Sequoia Elementary, off the beaten track and a few blocks to the west from the hustle and bustle of the Pleasant Hill downtown area. I was in the same shopping center for lunch, and feeling like some coffee afterwards, we stopped by. They close at 3:00 during the week, and it was already 2:15, so all the pastries were gone by then. But lots of coffee available, and that was the main thing! I tried their Caramel Chiller, a blended frappe cold drink. It was quite good and well made. My wife had the white hot chocolate, and it was definitely white, funny to see! But very good, and something different for hot chocolate lovers. The atmosphere inside is quite nice: laid-back and homey with attractive decorative touches, characteristic of a family owned coffeeshop, not a chain. The patrons seem like regulars, the feeling is of a warm, community gathering place. Lots of seating inside, and outside seating as well. No WiFi here, but there is an old-school basket on the floor in the corner heaped full of newspapers to read. Kind of a nice throwback to the time before coffee became Big Business. At lunch, you can get a variety of sandwiches, salads and soup. In addition to a selection of coffees they also have smoothies and iced tea. Latte Da is a nice stop if you are in this Pleasant Hill neighborhood. read more

My friend and I went to this café and ordered chai tea lattes. When we ordered, I asked if they could be made hot. A young woman with short brown hair said yes, and proceeded to make our lattes. We got them a short time later, and instead of being hot, they were lukewarm. I went up and asked her if we could get them hot or at least have them nuked in the microwave and she said no she can't do that due to code. I then asked what we would need to say when we ordered in order to get them to be hot and she said "extra hot." Normally, I don't post a review over a latte, but the service at this place was especially poor and the woman had a definite attitude. We will not be back. read more

This is an adorable coffee shop I had stumbled across because I usually go to that plaza for Kobe Japan and Savanh. All experiences have been very positive, and they always deliver on their coffee. I stopped to get the caramel mocha and the works breakfast sandwich this morning after church. The mocha was just right, not to sweet and the right amount of coffee to wake me up and start the day. I chose to get the works sandwich but wasn't sure what kind of bread I should choose to go with it. Elaine helped me to decide on the croissant ! It was amazing! The croissant was very fresh, buttery and flaky. It was so delicious, I devoured it on my drive home! The service is quick, and the people very friendly and helpful. The coffee shop across the street "Rooted has " was closed so my walking associates decided to go to Latte Da & I went along & wish I hadn't. The 16 oz iced coffee w/ vanilla tasted like a chemical concoction that got 3 sips & donated to the landscape. I roast my own coffee, brew my own coffee & drink coffee at different locations from time to time to maintain my bearings & keep my tastes in order. This place caters to a different crowd that apparently likes the atmosphere & maybe the food.
