    Honey Latte with oatmilk

Hot honey oat milk latte was delicious. The interior was really nice with plenty of seating both inside and outside, and the staff were super friendly. Not from the area but definitely a spot I will recommend.

Came in today with my wife, ordered a latte and it was delicious. We were assisted by Jasmine which had great energy and really made us feel at home. She left a good impression on us and we will definitely be coming back! Their pastries were amazing as well! Lastly the place was super clean which I always love!

Love this spot! Great coffee shop with tasty drinks. Everyone there is always friendly. They have free Wi-Fi and I usually come here once a week to do some office work and it's such a nice spot to get some work done. There are two rooms with plenty of seating and even some games to play if you need a relaxing break. Unfortunately they don't have a way to heat up their pastries but they are tasty just the same.

Best coffee shop in town. They roast their own beans in house. I came by for a cup of drip coffee it was excellent. They have a lot of seating and it's a good place to hang out or meet up.

This is the best cappuccino I've ever had in my entire life. Somebody recommended this little place. Absolutely awesome.

Love this place. I come to Martinez a few times a month for my nail appointment at Nova Lux Salon, vintage shopping at Faded Gold and antique shopping. Stopping by states for a yummy cappuccino or ginger matcha is a must. They have the most delicious pastries too. The banana bread is to die for. I stopped by late in the day Saturday and they had three pastries left. I got the blueberry something and it was incredible. I can't believe it was still there at 2 pm. The space is also really nice.

I'm Martinez local and have been going here for 10+ years. I usually get their lavender latte and it didn't disappoint. Came here on today on a weekday and parking meters were about $.50 an hour and took credit cards. Also, if you work remote, they have free WiFi and there is lots of space.

Update: owner was kind enough to message me about why they were closed in random days with no notice. Have been here multiple times since and they have been opened. MAJOR props on their DECAF espresso, seriously the best I've ever had. You can hardly taste the difference in flavor.

States Coffee in Martinez has a really amazing vibe thats perfect for mornings with friends or good coworking space with colleagues. The people at the cashier were really kind and helpful. They can be seeing bringing coffee directly to the customers so long as they have the number markers. I definitely would recommend this coffee shop for anyone. It's got an awesome atmosphere and great staff.

This is been my go to coffee house for many years now. The coffee and service is top tier and the location in downtown Martinez is perfect. The inside makes you feel like you are stepping back in time to when Martinez was a port town. Love the vibes and the mood. Worth a stop for sure.

First time here, the coffee shop has a large outdoor seating area as well as indoor. I tried their honey latte it was ok, but for my preference I would just keep it regular latte since I didn't really taste much difference with honey. The cashiers was friendly, and as far as pastries I wish they had some gluten free options. Over all it was good and might come back if I am in the area.

Ask the Community - States Coffee

    Is indoor siting available?

    Yes

Do they still have lavender coffee?

Do they only have one size for their drinks?

Our to go cups are 8 ounces for cappuccino and 12 ounces for drip coffee and lattes. Iced cups are 16 ounces to accomodate for the ice so that the milk ratio with espresso is 12 ounces just like our hot drinks. Thanks for asking!

What's your policy on service animals?

States is a food facility. For that reason per health code only service animals and law enforcement animals are allowed inside. Other pets are welcome on our outside patio. Thank you.

    Are there foods besides pastries?

Yes! They will have sandwiches from Farm & Flour as well as loaves of bread for sale. I believe the sandwiches go pretty fast so it can be hit or miss.

Is this place good for studying? I don't want to take up a seat for too long if this is more of a come and go type of place.

This is a great place for studying. There are 3 rooms attached to this business. The first room tends to be people just getting their drinks and families with small children. The second room is more for socializing. The third and newest room has…

How much is a bag of espresso beans?

Our 1849 Blend is $12 for one half pound bag and $20 for two.

    Does States serve decaf coffee?

We can make any espresso drink using our decaf beans but not drip coffee. They are also available to purchase for home brewing.

What types of non-dairy mills are offered for espresso drinks?

They offer a delicious Oat Milk as their stand alone non dairy option. I love it personally.

    Are the macaroons vegan?

Sorry, macaroons are not vegan. Donuts are vegan. Try them you'll love them

Just along the main strip of town, this place is busy. We stopped by early morning just a little after they were opened. Even mid week and there was a massive line already forming. They must be good. There's two entrance, first being the main where the front door is. Patio seating available along the sidewalk. And then the back entrance where the majority of the seating is outside. It's like a secret garden with all the trees and plants. Somewhat a treehouse feel as well. They have 2 levels with tables. Beautiful spot sitting there under the tree having a nice cup of joes and a beautiful pastries. Indoor also has some seating along the front and I believe there's a second floor right above the entrance. There's mainly one line for everything. You wait to place your order if you wanted pastries and food. I think you could just order drinks at counter if you're not getting food but don't quote me on that. Everyone was waiting together. Once you reach the top, there's the counter of fresh baked pastries that's made daily. Things do sell out pretty fast. We literally arrived not long after they open and the ham and cheese croissant was already sold out. Besides pastries, there's fresh baked bread. Coffee drinks were pretty good too. After you pick what you want, the cashier is at the end and that's where you pay. There's a counter at the back where drinks are picked up. The whole place has an open kitchen feel where you could actually see all the workers preparing the sweets. In the back kitchen, you could walk by and see the pastries chef preparing and putting together the fresh sweets. It's like you're part of the kitchen. It's a cute place and it does get busy. The locals know about this place so it a hot spot. The holiday makers know which their names is getting out there and making a big splash for them. We've been a few times while in town and each time, alway busy and great. Amazing pastries and good drink. It is on the pricer side but that's pretty much everywhere you go these days.

The service is always good, they have a positive attitude like In-N-Out and Chick-Fil-A. They always have enough employees taking orders if there are long lines, at least in my experience. Dutch bros always get that reputation of workers being talkative, interactive and just overall good costumer service. However this location specifically made me want to write a review to shine light on their amazing costumer service, fast, yet still really good and actually clean cups, (other locations often speeds and the cups have whatever drink you ordered dripping on the cup or spilling out - making you ask for napkins) This location had our drinks READY and CLEAN as soon as we pulled up to the window. Jordan, the one who took our order that day, was really patient with me and my boyfriend looking through the menu and answering questions we had about their new seasonal drinks. He was even really sweet about me asking for a sticker! I usually always ask if dutch bros has stickers (they usually release stickers on Wednesday mornings) and I either get a crazy look or told that they open early so they wouldn't have any during the evenings. (which is definitely understandable!!) I just really appreciated how Jordan actually took the time to follow up with the front for me to see if they had any left over. This location also felt so safe and looked clean! The workers all seemed happy to be working there and talked to each other like friends.
