I went to the laundrette for lunch today and everything was top notch. The service, the food and the cute restaurant. I came with my 4 little children and they were so great about us and also having a table around the corner was great. I'm always paranoid about my kids being too loud We had the deviled eggs, burrata, shrimp for starters and chicken paillard and Brussels for mains. For dessert we had the birthday cake sandwich and the apple streusel dessert. Best dish was probably the apple dessert. Tasted like apple crumble and ice cream. Least favourite was the chicken paillard. Nothing wrong with it. Just compared to everything else this was boring. But you always need something like this for the boring person you're out to dinner with

Great happy hour deals and a very cute vibe. The Shawarma Cauliflower was vegan as-is, and it was good! Our server was kind and knowledgeable about the menu, and overall we had a great time.

Had lunch at The Launderette on the east side of Austin with a work colleague and really enjoyed the entire experience. The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff is genuinely friendly, and it is just an easy, comfortable place to spend a couple hours. We started with the potato chips and pimento cheese. Exactly what you would expect. House made kettle chips and solid pimento cheese. Simple and good. We also both ordered Americanos and the coffee was excellent. Very hot, fresh, and full of flavor. I ordered the steak sammie and thought it was pretty solid overall. My only minor complaint is that it was not quite as hot as I would have liked when it came out, but flavor wise it was still enjoyable. The real standout was dessert. I ordered the apple streusel sundae and it was absolutely fantastic. Easily the best thing I had there. Warm, comforting, and perfectly balanced. If you go here, do yourself a favor and order it with a coffee. It is the kind of dessert you remember after you leave. This is a great spot for a lunch meeting or casual business meal, and it is somewhere I would happily return to. Very enjoyable experience all around.

Fast and friendly service! Came here for dinner on a Tuesday night, and was sat pretty quickly. The food menu provides a good variety of options that you might not regularly find at a generic restaurant. I liked all the flavors from the ribs, Brussels sprouts, and the dessert. The steak was underwhelming - mostly since it seemed like a small cut. Might be good to clarify the size of steak on the menu or in-person. It's not enough to feed one person. The star of the show was the sundae. Tasted delicious! Really appreciated the kind staff and the easy parking. Only feedback is consider portion size and temperature on food (steak and ribs were very lukewarm at best).

Came here with a friend recently and had a good experience. We arrived around 12:45 without a reservation and our party of two was seated within 10 minutes on a Sunday. We waited in a lounge and it was really enjoyable since it was sunny and we could order drinks while waiting. Service was nice, no complaints. I got the buttermilk pancakes which were very fluffy and I liked the blueberry compote. My friend got the fried chicken Sammie and liked it even though it's pricey to not come with fries. The pull apart bread was the highlight!! So yummy, not too messy, perfect amount of crunch. Overall: solid brunch spot in Austin, cool ambiance and good service with decent food.

YES YES YESSSS to the pancakes!!! Launderette totally gives diner vibes but in the best way possible -- cozy, stylish, and just good energy. I came for breakfast and those pancakes were EVERYTHING. Fluffy, buttery, perfectly golden... honestly some of the best pancakes I've had in a longgggggg time. This spot is definitely going on the top of my Austin breakfast list. I'll be bringing all my friends here next time because everyone deserves to experience these pancakes lol. plus their little syrup dispenser is a kittyyyyy! So freaken cute!!! Service was 10/10 as well. If you're a breakfast lover, this place is a must!

A bit conflicted on this one - 3 stars feels a bit harsh, but as I reflect on this meal, I felt like there just wasn't anything that impressive but it was a bit pricey. The service was great, and the presentation of dishes was good, but everything else felt very average. Our table of 7 ordered every entree on the wood grill and the specialties, except for the burger. We also got 2 items from the snacky bits and veggies each. This may be a personal taste thing, but I do not recommend the cappelletti. I was a bit distracted by talking with my table to remember exactly what about it I didn't like, but I just remember the feeling of eating it and immediately going, oh no. The pork ribs sounded promising, but I can't really remember much about them. That's pretty much my lingering feeling from this meal - that the food is a bit forgettable. Small parking lot in front of the restaurant. Interior and patio are well maintained, and it gives a classy/casual vibe.

Went there for a brunch. The brunch menu is a boring. I went through pictures, only pork shoulder looks above average, rest of them are just like other restaurant brunch food. Also had hash brown and cinnamon rolls, just so so. It's Michelin recommended. I'm more disappointed with Michelin guide.

Fluffy pancakes with delicious toppings. I love the salmon with dark rye breads. The pickle are so tasty and special. The place is cute inside out.

Made reservations for Sunday brunch at noon a couple of days before, unfortunately the only option was patio. Got seated quickly and the brunch menu was very straight forward, ordered some pastries and mains. The pastries came out quickly, but then it took another maybe 40-50 minutes for our main entrees to come out which was pretty long and uncomfortable since we were sitting in the outside heat with no direct fans or mist. We went through our water pretty quickly and the conditions just became brutal as we were finishing our meal. I could only say outstanding things about the key lime Kouign-amann. The Salmon gravalax was a nice light meal but for how simple it was, it really shouldn't have taken that long to come out. I understand Sunday brunch gets pretty busy but the tables around us who came in after got their dishes before ours. Considering that this is one of Austin's favorite brunch places (Michelin recommended), it was a miss for me. Maybe it was a bad day or we (bad) lucked out with the patio seating to begin with. I'd probably recommend if they have patio seating during Texas summers to at least have misters. I really wanted to enjoy this place like everyone recommended.

I was in the area for a work conference and looked through Yelp and other sites for a place for dinner and came upon Launderette. Fun fact that the space they occupy was a laundry mat. Ordered the Tempura Snap Peas. This could have been a great dish but they left the string on the snap peas which made it more difficult to eat. For the price point, I personally feel they should have taken the time to prep the peas. The Bistro Steak dish was solid. Could have used a bit more sauce for the steak. The Calamansi Cheesecake was a nice surprise. I like tart so I could have used more calamansi flavor since the blueberry sauce did cover the flavor a bit.

Launderette blew us away. We started with the burrata, and it was perfection. The focaccia that came with it was so good and buttery. For my entrée, I ordered the cappelletti. Also incredible - the thin sheets of cheese on top were such a great touch, and the sauce was so delicate yet full of flavor. Others at the table ordered the brick chicken and flat iron steak. Everyone was really happy with their food. I tried a bit of the potatoes that came with the steak, and they were very tasty. We ordered the birthday cake ice cream sandwiches for dessert. They were adorable and the perfect sweet treat to share. Everything was done so well here and the interior was super comfortable. They have a great patio area that would be nice to sit out and enjoy an evening. Highly recommend!

I've gone back and forth on wanting to try Launderette, especially since it's been praised by the James Beard Awards and most recently recognized in the Michelin Guide. But... every time I peek at the menu, nothing really jumps out at me. I made the leap and I hate to say... it was as lackluster and as underwhelming as I expected. I opted for the Salmon Gravlax, which sounded divine... but upon receiving my order, it was essentially a deconstructed lox and schmear with bread followed by accompaniments. I truly wanted to love Launderette, especially after hearing so many raving reviews. Maybe not brunch... I will say, this isn't the end. The dinner menu looks more enticing so I'm not writing it off just yet!

I felt the vibe instantly, like as soon as I put one foot in the door. Magical, sophisticated, worldly, wonderful and more were the feelings that spontaneously hit me. The dark and elegant decor, lighting, design, & layout made me feel as though I were in a high-end Tokyo cocktail lounge. The front room as I mentioned is an intimate bar and lounge area with artwork adorning the walls. It's a modern, minimalist, and sleek space. The artwork is ever-changing (every couple of months or so) and the cocktail menu changes right long with it. Note: artwork is available for purchase. What an absolutely glorious way of combining different mediums (liquid art vs physical art). The craft cocktails & mocktails are the epitome of works of art. I've had great cocktails and mocktails elsewhere but honestly I'd be hard pressed to find anything on this level. You're taken into an entirely different realm just watching the genius of mixologists. It's mesmerizing watching them hone their craft. In the back of the lounge is an enclave of eclectic art and other pieces that then leads you to Konbini, the sushi bar. It's an industrial, warehouse vibe with a long counter that screams hip, Tokyo inspired, late-night eatery. Service is impeccable and welcoming at this cosmopolitan venue. It's truly an amazing experience.

I was pretty bothered by my experience here. Even aside from their mid drinks, it felt like we were constantly chasing down servers and they were only attentive when they needed something from us. We went to the photobooth to take pictures before we sat down, but the machine ate my money and broke down. I let a server know, and he came back and said he would comp $20 off of our meal, which I was happy about. I honestly only wanted them to refund me my $10 for the photobooth strip. However, they came back a few minutes later and gave us a photo card and told us to use it to pay for the photobooth and it could be used an unlimited amount of times. I was also happy with this solution, but what happened afterwards left a bad taste in my friends' and my mouth. We hadn't gotten menus or been asked what we wanted to order yet. We were just waiting around for drink menus and food menus, so we didn't want to get up and go take photos when they might come back to take our orders. The manager (?) came back to me a few minutes later and asked if we had taken photos yet, and I let him know that we were waiting to be given menus. He said someone else would give us menus, and another server gave us only a drink menu. A few minutes later, we are still waiting for food menus. The same manager came back and asked us to not lose the photo card. At this point, we were frustrated. Why come back constantly to ask for a photo card when we haven't even been given our food or our menus yet? When we finally got our food, a different server asked if we had given back the photo card yet. They were so pressed about getting this photo card back and not actually getting our orders, and we also thought it was a bit distasteful to offer a solution (the $20 off the meal) but then go back on it with the photo card. It was presented as "unlimited" swipes but we were rushed to give the card back, and realistically, we only had enough time to take one set of photos. The drinks themselves were truly just okay. I don't think any of us were particularly impressed with our drinks, but the interior of Papercut is really nice and intimate.

What I expect out of champagne. We got a philippe jouan (aka pinot noir) bottle which was so delicious. For food, we got the baguette and a egg confit dish that was divine. Then wrapping up, we got a single glass of produttori del barbaresco and capellano barolo. These were super old wines from the 80s and boy were they screaming tertiary notes. Awesome experience.
