Sophia was very patient, attentive, and recommended a couple of dishes that turned out to be amazing. Great customer service all around. The food did not disappoint. The Caesar salad was delicious, and the sourdough bread was so good. Overall, we left very satisfied. You place your order upfront first and then get seated either at the bar or on the outside patio. I definitely recommend the outside patio for the ambiance. Just keep in mind there is street parking only and they do not take reservations. I'd recommend going early!

I had been once…read morebefore and loved the back patio, so I was excited to come back -- this time without my baby -- and fully enjoy a night out with the girls. We started with olives, sparkling wine, house sourdough, and the prosciutto and burrata. The bread comes in a cute little cast iron -- warm, fluffy, and perfect alongside the prosciutto and cheese. For mains, we shared two focaccia-style pizzas: the margherita and the fiore di zucca (squash blossom). The squash blossom was my favorite -- it had pancetta, stracciatella, and béchamel, and was such a fun, flavorful combination. We also ordered two pastas to share (we had a vegetarian in the group, so we split one meat and one non-meat dish). The pomodoro was light, fresh, and slightly citrusy, while the baked paccheri was rich and indulgent. Both were delicious, but the paccheri was probably my favorite. For dessert, we had the affogato and cannoli -- and that cannoli filling was so good. The wine was great across the board, and our server was incredibly helpful -- letting us taste wines and guiding us through selections, which we really appreciated. Between the food, service, and overall vibe, it was such a fun night. We'll definitely be back.

Next brunch visit we definitely plan to try the Dutch Baby Pancake as a shareable! Service is always great and very attentive. The roof top deck has great ambience and a wonderful place for brunch. There's a nice bar with comfy seats and a fun place for a drink. Happy Hour is returning after Father's Day. We loved going there on Sunday afternoons for pizzas and wine. Excellent selection of wines! They are also offering Bubbles and Shells (Sparking Wine and Oysters) on Friday and Saturday nights! Our food today, Michael's Burger with handout fries, N'Daju Toast, and The Benedict. Cocktails today, Ciacco D'oro and a Mimosa. Cappuccino and coffees were great. Cocktails at Michael's are excellent. Definitely one of the best places in Long Beach for a cocktail! Creative and consistent. The burger is the best one in town if you are craving that juicy type of burger, which I was. Done perfectly. I order it rare, they know how to serve it rare! Now served with handout fries instead of chips, still amazing! We finished our meal with a wonderful Gelato, on the house! Mint chip and just amazing! Looking forward to more Brunches and of course happy Hour!

I went to Factory Kitchen last night on a whim and honestly wasn't expecting to love it as much as…read moreI did. I usually avoid pasta and red meat, and at first glance the menu didn't seem to have any chicken options, but since it's Michelin-rated, I decided to give it a chance. I'm so glad I did -- because when the food is this delicious, who needs chicken? We ordered the Casonzei pasta and it was hands down the best pasta I've ever had. The pasta itself was incredibly delicate and light -- nothing like the heavy feeling you normally get from a pasta dish. The amount of filling packed into each piece was unbelievable, and somehow they managed to keep the dough perfectly intact. The flavors were absolutely incredible. I also ordered the fish of the day, a white fish similar to halibut (I wish I could remember the name), and it was perfectly prepared. Light, juicy, and paired beautifully with the sauce. Even the cabbage was amazing -- and that's coming from someone who usually has to force herself to eat vegetables. We also shared the prosciutto with stracciatella, which was another standout. Everything tasted exceptionally fresh, the prosciutto was sliced paper-thin, and the creamy stracciatella paired perfectly with the crispy toasted bread underneath. To round things out, we ordered the roasted potatoes and Brussels sprouts, and somehow even the vegetables stole the show. I actually ate the leftover Brussels sprouts for breakfast the next morning. The service was every bit as impressive as the food -- polished, attentive, and exactly what you would expect from a Michelin-rated restaurant. Unfortunately, I left my phone in the car during dinner, so I didn't get any photos, but there are plenty on Yelp. I can't wait to go back and would absolutely recommend it. They get very busy on weekends since they're only open limited evening hours, so definitely make a reservation ahead of time. They offer valet parking for $12, and while there is free street parking nearby, it can be difficult to find unless you park on surrounding streets and walk a bit.

The Caesar salad was really good, and the branzino was honestly one of the best I've ever had - great presentation too. The kitchen staff in the back were some latino dudes but tbey clearly know what they're doing because the food tasted very authentic and well executed. I'm giving 3 stars for service because we waited way too long for our bottle of wine. When it finally came out, it wasn't the bottle I ordered, and our waitress Lauren insisted it was the same thing, which felt insulting because it was obviously not the same vintage - it was off by two years. At that point, I just wanted some wine already, so l let it go. That said, the ambiance was great, and the food alone makes this place worth visiting.

The manager was very friendly and accommodating. He brought us an extra chair at the bar because there two bar chairs next to each other. The bartender was also friendly. We shared n Arugula Prosciutto pizza which came out very fast. It was big enough for two people to share, yet not heavy. The crust was thin and a good representation of Neapolitan style pizza. My friend got the strawberry cocktail which was refreshing. We found street parking on Selma. Make sure to look for street parking signs. It's Hollywood, so parking can be a challenge but with patience you can usually find a spot. The majority of the restaurant is an open air patio. It's bright, airy, and had a busy upscale casual vibe. I'd go back to try the pasta dishes.

I was sold on everything Jesse suggested. For drinks, we shared a bottle of light, crisp Borgo Canedo Sauvignon Blanc, and an Italian style Pilsner called Webb's, which is brewed locally in Aliso Viejo. Focaccia Pugliese & Gluten Free Focaccia were both good! The GF version had more of a light biscuit texture but both had a soft interior with a crisp outer layer. The Basil-Ricotta Spread with pistachio went really well with them too. Insalata Lattuga - baby romaine, lemon, anchovy bread crumbs, Grana Padano cheese with creamy herb dressing - fresh, crunchy and well balanced Mandilli di Seta - very unique handkerchief shaped pasta with lemon cream and pesto drizzle Agnolotti - ricotta and garlic filled pasta with asparagus, spring onion and guanciale - complex flavor profile and textures! The Lasagna and Rigatoni alla Bolognese were classic and authentic. Their bolognese includes beef, pork and veal. Chef Marco came out with the Parmigiano Reggiano Wheel and prepared the Mushroom Risotto in it, mixing all the ingredients and scraping the cheese off the sides while he served it. It was rich, creamy and not too salty. I didn't know the wheel is nearly $1k! We tried all the desserts! Among the Affogato, Gelato, Panna Cotta, Tiramisu and Torta Pasticiotto, the Panna Cotta stood out the most with savory basil infused in the cream with crispy caramelized sugar and pine nuts and fresh strawberry puree. Second runner up was the Affogato for me. The restaurant has a clean, modern design. It's not too spacious inside, but the party of 10 of us sat comfortably in the covered patio area. Service was excellent. The food and drinks came out quickly and bussers were on top of picking up empty plates and refilling water. Aliso Viejo is lucky to have such a special Italian restaurant!
