Big fun place for kids. Couple things to know. They do sell socks with grip but you don't actually need them. In fact, there's some sections that say no socks with grip for the slides. They only have one water fountain so it's a hustle to make you buy water and they don't provide water cups in the food court area. The rooms don't have any kind of air conditioning in the party rooms, so it's like a sauna and you might want to bring a fan. Other than that it's as fun if not more than Urban Air and some of the other places. Last item I would mention is I noticed very little refereeing by the staff. It's a little bit more of a free-for-all, so some kids are trying to jump on top of other ones... Keep an eye out

This was a relatively inexpensive choice for an indoor play park. Lots of things to do for toddlers and maybe those that are a little older. Not as many things to do as urban air, but definitely better for the toddlers. We had my two year-old grandson with us so it was the perfect place. it was only 12 bucks to get in for an hour so this is still one of the least expensive indoor play park. Food and snacks were not that expensive.

Well just like a menu. The food looks fantastic on paper but when you actually get it it's not the same. That's what this establishment felt like. Looking on their site it looks bigger than actually is. I believe it's reasonable priced and it's good for Aurora as other jump places are a distance away. I had gone with three boys ranging from ages 4, 6, and 10. All had fun but the once the 10 yo did everything he was bored. That being said it's more for kids under 10. The ambiance is very family oriented as when we were leaving there was a humongous line. There could be more parking as well.

    So fun for kids

All I heard today was... "when can we go to Lava Island?!" from a 5 year old. My kids love it here even after 10 visits! We celebrated my daughters 4 year old birthday at lava island and have also been to several birthday parties for their classmates here too! The space is huge! And walking in the first time is very exciting! I love that the climbing side and the trampoline side are separated so that it keeps the excitement going so kids can switch to what they would like to do here. A perk is that adults can join in on the fun. Jumping on the trampolines and going through the obstacle courses is just as exhilarating for adults! But the downfall is that adults have to pay regardless of if you participate. So when I've brought my older kids along with my baby, I still have to pay even though I'm just taking care of the baby and watching the older two play. Compared to other kids play places, you'll end up spending more here because of the entry AND food. No outside food or drink allowed. For birthdays, you have to set up a party with them (in order to bring in cake). Overall though, the kids will love it but your wallet won't.

I wish the place existed where I live. We have trampoline parks and indoor playgrounds. They just aren't as fun as this one. I really like that you get both in one location. The space is huge. On one side you have your jungle themed indoor playground; on the other side you have your lava themed trampoline park. Our son loved both. And not just him. My wife even got in on the trampoline action. They serve food on site. It's your standard kid friendly fare. The mozzarella sticks were good. Entrance fee is $10 per person, per hour. Now, when it comes to the per hour part, their website states that is during peak times (weekends and school holidays). So expect to pay for additional hours. During off-peak times, bonus time may be available at no additional cost. We went on a weekday at it wasn't terribly crowded so we didn't have to pay extra (we stayed for over two hours). So keep that in mind. It is definitely worth the visit here if you have kids. I we lived in the area, this would be a regular spot for us.

Charging adults $10 each to watch your kids run around is ridiculous. Won't be going back ever again. This place was great before Covid.

Ask the Community - Lava Island

Are there lockers for purses? We saw the cubbies for shoes but wondered about lockers

I didn't see any lockers anywhere.

    Do they have beer?

Nope..no alcohol at all. But do have starbucks coffee

Does this place serve beer or wine?

    Nope

Is there a cafe or a food place or something there?

Yes! Bring money for food :) There are plenty of places to sit and eat too!

Are parents required to purchase tickets as well?

Only if you want to jump or climb. But not if you're going to just watch them. And you can always go in for rescue efforts. 😂

Would the playground area be fun for a 7 year old boy's birthday party? Or is it more geared to younger kids? Thanks!

My 8 year old had a blast there. Along with a group of similar aged kids. The other side is great for kids 8 or older but the playground side is perfect for a birthday party. (I just attended a friends child's birthday there)

Blue Pan Pizza - Congress Park: Not Recommended…read more Unfortunately, Blue Pan Pizza did not live up to the hype for us. We spent nearly $100, but the food was surprisingly bland and under-seasoned. We started with the meatballs, which tasted as though they might have been frozen. We also ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, but it was runny and lacked flavor. Even the chips couldn't save it, lol. My partner makes a much better version at home--and hers tastes like it was made with love. There really is a difference. For our main course, we ordered a Supreme Detroit-style pizza. Since I'm from New York, it reminded me more of a Sicilian-style pizza, which I usually enjoy. Unfortunately, the cheese was extremely dry against the bread, and even the ranch couldn't help. Also, why do people eat pizza with a fork and knife? Maybe I was raised like a savage in New York, but you're supposed to pick up a slice, fold it, and eat it. The restaurant was extremely crowded, and the overall experience felt more like a process of getting people in, serving them, and getting them out than creating an enjoyable dining experience. The food didn't seem to be prepared with much care or attention; it felt more like an assembly line. We also felt somewhat out of place in the restaurant. That alone wouldn't have been an issue, but combined with the food, crowd, and overall atmosphere, it simply didn't feel like our kind of place. For nearly $100, I expected significantly better food, flavor, and service. Honestly, I've enjoyed pizza from Papa Murphy's, Cicis, Pizza Hut, Papa John's, Sam's Club, Costco, Mondo's, and Marco's more. If you're looking for great pizza, I personally wouldn't recommend Blue Pan Pizza in Congress Park. And if you're going for the ambiance, I wouldn't recommend it for that either. Bottom line: Expensive, under-seasoned, overcrowded, and disappointing. Blue Pan Pizza may be popular, but it definitely wasn't for us. NO garlic power, NO pepper, NO oregano, NO onion powder, NO Italian seasoning, NO NOTHING!!!!!

I haven't been here in apparently four years. At least that was my last review…read more I was looking for a place to eat and drove through the Lowry area and this establishment caught my eye. As usual it feels like a neighborhood bar and grill as most of the patrons seemed to know the bartenders. They have a large mural of Lowry when it was an army base in their back room as well. Surprisingly they have a full bar. Even with the large ice cubes for the old fashioned. I had an Italian sub and ceaser salad while there. Both were good and to go i bought a pizza to have later at home. Once home I couldn't resist but to tear into the pizza and of course it was good like I remember. The toppings are fresh and tasty. I am from NJ and do not like spicy Italian food, but Denver residents seem to love it. Walter's is within walking distance of my house, and I would be there every week if I could get a pizza with delicious marinara sauce with no spice. I also would love to take my family, but they don't care for spicy pizza either, especially the young kids. I have worked with Ken, the manager, and he is very nice and helpful. I have spoken to the owner years ago about the spicy sauce, and he told me that "everyone" loves it. Well, not everyone! The service is always fast and efficient. The staff is kind and helpful. I love the indoor seating. There is a bar area, a back room, and a main dining area with plenty of seating. There is also an outdoor patio. Parking is plentiful on the street or in the back parking lot. The noise level has never been a problem when trying to speak with your fellow diners. The atmosphere is cozy and clean. I would give Walter's 5 STARS if they had a choice of non-spicy and spicy sauce, just like they have a choice of crusts. PLEASE!!!!
