By far the best indoor activity/ entertainment center for children of all ages. Believe me, as a mom with multiple children I've been to numerous "kids" indoor places and Lava Island blows all those places out of the water! There are so many different areas for all age levels to play at. Super clean, you can order food (menu was comparable to a sit down restaurant even), one amount to pay (not like other places I've been to where you pay by half hour, hour or so), and the staff was (especially Jacob), was beyond friendly! Had my kiddo's birthday party there and it was an amazing time! The party space was creative and a huge hit with the kids (we had the space room) and our attendant was very helpful and attentive. The price for the room, food, drinks, and time in the playroom was fair and included a 1hour play time, 45 mins for food and cake time, and 1 hour for play time afterwards. It was just enough and our guests left feeling like they had a full experience. The pizza was good and they brought plenty of water. Plus, the greeting was very organized. The only reason for removing a star was because it was pretty hot in there and may have had something to do with one of the front doors being completely removed (perhaps from a break-in). We were all sweltering. And, there was bottle necking and congestion at the entry due to the new entrance from the damaged door so that it was not too obvious where that was. I also would have appreciated seeing some COVID regulations posted near the entrance in an obvious place to remind people to be safe and well. read more

This is hands down the best kids play place I have found. I took my 3 and 6 year olds here and both had a blast. We paid $16/ea for the kids (adults are free) and stayed about 4 hours. Anyone playing MUST WEAR SOCKS. We only did the "climb" area (this includes multiple climbing structures and slides that parents can go on, too). The Cafe is in this area as well - so parents can sit and have a coffee and rest easy knowing kids can't leave the area (there is only one monitored gate in and out). The facilities (including bathrooms) were impeccably clean and all staff I interacted with was friendly. My kids also shared $8 chicken tenders for lunch and have already asked to go back. I wish this was closer (we live all the way by Red Rocks, so it was a trek!) - but I plan on going back at least a couple times a month. read more

Awful. Just left a bday party and it was mayhem there. No supervision, no rules, no segregating the teens from the toddlers, so just a chaotic space. Do not book a party here. And if you don't want your seven year olds mingling with teenagers (who have zero regard for the littles) then don't go in the afternoon. read more

Very disorganized party planning, BEWARE The private room party rental is only for 45 minutes! our food order was not ready when we were allowed to go to the private room to eat, so we spent our time waiting for our food. Food finally arrived, crust was burnt... before the end of our allotted 45 minutes the next party waiting for the room decided to invite themselves into our private room and help themselves to our beverages! Who does that??? People are WEIRD! I spoke with the manager on duty regarding these issues of poor planning, poor time management, poor food quality and other parties having access to private room BEFORE their scheduled time. My issues as with basic customer service, the play areas are great for kiddos of all ages. I purchased a CO Get Out Pass and Lava Island was included. I wanted to take my kiddos on Christmas Eve and the website did not list any holiday hours or closures. Regular hours are 9am-9pm. So, I called, like 10 times between 8:30am - 11:00am. No one answered and I got the "oh noooo, I've missed you" after hours voice mail. I also emailed, but it's now been 2 full days and i have yet to receive a reply. We did not risk the 25 minute drive from South Denver not knowing if they were actually open. We decided to try again on 12/26. I called at 9:05am: no answer, same after hours voicemail. Called 3 more times, finally got a different voicemail at 10am, but could not get through to a real person (I pressed zero to speak to someone, was not able, recording said to text a different number after I pressed zero). I texted. We decided to risk it and left. I got a text back pretty quickly while we were on route saying they were sorry to miss my call and that they were open 9-9. When we got here, one person was working the desk with over a dozen in line, took more than 10 minutes to check in (not terrible). Brought my computer to get some work done, but the Lava-Guest wifi network had no connection on my PC or my phone. Walked back to the check-in desk to ask, was told that I needed to use a different secured network to connect (but was not posted anywhere). I was given the written name of the network and password, and was then able to connect and get started. My kiddos are playing now, play areas are great, but not sure we'll come back with such poor basic customer service. Website should be up to date with all holiday closures and hours, voice mail should switch from after hours to "we're open" messages right at 9am/opening time, emails should be answered quickly and/or an auto reply message set up, employees should be able to pick up the phone or more staff added to make that happen, WiFi connection information should be posted, and management should be made aware of horrible first time experience. UPDATE: They let me trade a Get Out 4-hour pass to the Playground are for a 2nd hour jumping, my kiddos are happy! Adding a star. read more

They have a toddler area, and even though part of this place is closed off due to Covid, the food, staff, and park itself were still a lot of fun for all ages up to 12. Went for my son's 4th birthday. They were limiting the amount of people in but honestly we had the place to ourselves (partly because we went on a Tuesday morning). The place felt clean - there was a lady cleaning the whole time we were there. Both the trampoline and jungle gym areas were open. The foam pits were closed obviously but still had a blast. We've been here so many times and loved it. Today we were the first people in at 9:00am. The place was a dump. There was trash everywhere and hadn't been cleaned from the night before. The bathrooms were all locked and when they unlocked them only one had toilet paper in it. When we shared our concerns with the manager he told us it was last nights managers fault. Had my daughters 4th birthday here on a sat afternoon and I have never witnessed such mayhem. They conducted 40 parties that day and the capacity was over whelming. It seemed very dangerous. not covid friendly!! i'm really disappointed with management here. they don't enforce masks at all! i saw a male manager allow a group to enter the building, and purchase tickets WITHOUT MASKS ON. also, in the play areas, multiple other groups of adults and kids weren't wearing masks!! they should have a rule where you can lift your mask off for less than 30 seconds, if no one is within 6 feet of you. not groups and groups of people without masks. this is not safe. this is not okay! this would be such a fun place to bring the kids, if masks were stronger enforced. read more

Call before going- we were told when we got here at 10am that climbing walls don't open "until two or three- probably 3 today." It does not mention this anywhere on their website. It was not the case when we visited last year. Disappointing considering we were with a mixed age group of kids who really had no interest in the playground side of the space and there was a large camp group on the trampoline section, so we didn't want to go in there. We came here for the first time for my nephews birthday party. The kids had a blast. The location is convenient for us. It's a little daunting at first, so many kids in such a spread out area especially for toddler aged children. Probably not somewhere you can go and just "hang out" while the kids play. At least not until they're older. The faculty is clean and seems well maintained. The staff was nice. So much for kids to do. My one and a half year old had a blast! There was a lot to do and she had a great time running around. I would say it's made more for older kids because there is a lot of climbing. I wish some areas were bigger to climb for adults since we couldn't let her climb it all by herself. But regardless, there were a lot of slides and fun things to do. Also, the staff was super nice!!! We went to the. Counter and were told to turn around to sign waivers by front door which was kind of weird lol. Maybe that should be set up different but it wasn't a huge hassle. One of our guest was yelled out when she asked for her cheese to be melted on her fries. Beyond disappointed in this company, your cars are not safe of their property and they take absolutely NO steps in helping. My sisters car was stolen today 10 minutes after she went in to lava Island. She supported their company only to walk out with her 1 month old child and 5 year old daughter to NO car. Tyler the manager and owners son refused any assistance or concern. His response was shrugged shoulders and the comment what do you want me to do about it? I asked for a last name, the owners name and number, corporates info, if they could look at Camara. Tyler lied to me about the Camara situation and proceeded to play games with me of every single thing I asked for. Making this situation much harder then it should have been. A quick trip next door and I got the answers I was looking for and footage of the car leaving the parking lot without any hesitation. A customer at lava Island asked for assistance that she could nit find parking send they told her to park around back.... with her 4 kids she was with. Minutes after this experience. They really thought that advice was safe. My mind was blown and the carelessness of this facility regardless if there was not any way they could help, hearing me out and at least attempting to help or show concern would have made the world of difference. First time here for a birthday party. The place was full, which was expected for a Sunday at noon. But we were told they don't have adequate staffing so the climbing area was closed. There were 3 members chatting around on the main floor and 2 upstairs just playing around as if to pass time (seems like enough staffing to me). The birthday party coordinator was not organized and was not helpful. No staff supervision in the jumping area, so you'd have to follow your younger kids in there but would have to purchase a pass ($16/hour for one activity). Also, there aren't any lockers here and purses are not allowed in any of the play area (understandable) but you'd have to leave them unattended. They advise you to not leave any valuable, like your wallet and keys, which are essential items. They also suggested that we leave our purses with someone we "know". Seems like a nice place for everyone. Overall clean and spacious. The climbing area looked incredible. Too bad we were not allowed in there. The manager needs attitude adjustment, the staff need more training and the place needs to be adequately staffed for weekends. read more

It's the first time I'm posting such a negative review but it's needed. The place is nice and the kids generally have a good time. There are some issues with bullying so I watch my kids carefully. Also, bathrooms are always very dirty but the play area is good enough. In general it's good but can get expensive. It should be acknowledged that they charge for the parents/adults even if they are not jumping. I can accept that but if I'm going to be charged over everything then I expect good service from them in return. Two times in a row, their kitchen got the order wrong upon entry and refused to make it right. I should have been more vigilant the second time but got distracted and when I tried to quickly acknowledge it they told me it was too late because the food was being made (only a few minutes after placing the order). They were too busy and overwhelmed, so the process to escalate or address the issue the first time was fruitless and not worth the effort the second time. Then the manager (son of the owners) was highly offensive when I tried to raise the issue with him over multiple repeat issues with the kitchen. Let's just say his comments were incredibly disrespectful and too rude to post here. It's unfortunate, they need experienced staff to handle simple issues instead they rely on young staff that is not equipped and experienced to resolve even the simplest of issues. Hard to give money to a company that treats repeat customers like that. read more

Went on Past Sunday and have to say I was impressed! My kids had a blast, there is alot to do. My kids are 8,6,4 and 15. My teenager only had fun at the basketball court trampoline. Honestly will be better if there was things to do for his age group. However my 8 and 6 year old though it was the best day ever. My 4 year opd was afraid of most things and was thrown off the bike from other kids. They call out your wrist band color but honestly don't check or do much about kicking you out. Not once did I see a crew member clean any areas. If you are covid afraid this place will give you OCD. Such a huge Germ playground. I'm not sure who takes cares of the place, because no staff member is ever seen walking around making everything is ok or safe. I gave it a 5 star because my kids liked it. Regardless of everything. You can stay there all day, staff won't check for wrist bands, kids can play everywhere even when closed areas. They will not say anything. As my sister said you let your kids get crazy here no one will say anything. As a parent not wanting to trash my house I will say is a win win. The snacks they serve are amazing! They just take forever to serve. Music is very old school and could possibly be on repeat mode on a 12 song cd from the 90's latin music. Well I will recommend. Man I wish I was a kid again with places like this. I had to old school play in the rain, play with rocks, and climb trees 25 years ago. But thankfully my kids get ro experience things I didn't. This place is awesome on so many levels. 1 day is not enough to experience this place in its entirety. I spent 2 hours with my kids only spent in a third of this place. The place is massive. One downside is parking. It's office parking for a place that deserves a huge lot. But even parking a building or 2 down is easily made up when your kids are smiling just minutes later. I could go on and write a novel about this place, but you just need to come let your kids go crazy for an hour or 2 and experience this yourself. You pay for the activity, so try ro limit your kid to one of the three sections (climbing, jumping or playing) so you don't pay for everything and use it as an excuse to come back. Plenty of food at their food court, plenty of chairs for parents to sit. This place is awesome. My drive from my house is 30 minutes, and is totally worth it. This place is awesome! My kids really enjoy the playground area. It's great for all ages. It's nice that both my seven year old and three year old can find so many activities to do within one area. The volcano slide is so cool and the tricycle area is so fun. We can spend several hours there with no complaints. I enjoyed the food there as well. The service was a bit slow but since the kids weren't complaining it made the wait tolerable. read more

I'm at this place right now. It's awesome, especially with the lower price they have right now of $10/hr for access to the jungle or trampoline part. HOWEVER, most kids aren't in masks!!! Most places I've been to require masks for ages 3+, so this feels unsafe. A few adults also have their masks off. My kids (ages 7, 7, and 1.5) had the time of their lives here. It was worth every penny. There is SO much to do, and they thought of everything! Our only complaint was that their staff doesn't seem to have it together. From the person checking for our waivers to the girl at the front desk giving us our wrist bands, they were rude and didn't really have any idea what was going on or how to interact with guests. We opted for two activities-- jumping and the play area. We spent about an hour in the play area before the kids wanted to move to jumping. That's when they told us you have to use your jump wristband the FIRST hour of play... nobody ever told us this, and they were very gracious about giving us the new wrist bands so we could jump. I was just shocked at the lack of organization! Also... there is VERY minimal staff on the floor. We never once saw anyone in the HUGE play area and only one person in the jump area. This was different, as every place like this we've ever been does a lot of patrolling to make sure everyone is safe, following rules, etc. read more
