This place has seen better days or better owner/management. Happened to attend a bday at 5:30 pm on a Sunday. We couldn't check in before the host (understandable). No waiting area (it was snowing out). For a Sunday night it was very busy. As soon as we were checked in and got our wristbands we went to the common area where the little kids play to wait for the party room. The floor near the eating area with the fountain tap was littered. An employee just walked around holding a spray bottle did not do a thing about the floor but instead just walked around the tables trying to look busy (all the tables were full). Seems most of the employees were I High School or young adults who really did not have any work ethic or knowledge on how to keep the place tidy/clean. I sat there for two hours and watched the same employees do nothing about cleaning up the floors, the tables, the soda machine and countertops. Unattended kids were running wild and filling up all kinds of bottles at the soda machine. Age and weight limit on the play sets were not enforced. The kicker was as soon as the party room was ready we went in, no room or seating for adults who came with their kids. For the prices we pay to play and book parties and cannot bring outside party supplies and no accommodations for adults in the party rooms we might as well leave and call it an overpriced daycare. I don't know who owns or manages this establishment but please have some standards on how to keep up on cleanliness and sanitation. I bet they don't even sanitize the play equipment. The only employee I saw busting their back and keeping up a good work ethic was a girl behind the food counter I think named Whitney. Someone has to manage the young employees you have who lack work ethic or know the standards of cleanliness and sanitation of such an establishment. My kids had fun but now they are sick-most likely from this place. Fix it owner and management. We know it's the "hood" and you probably don't care about anything but the , just have some standards and enforce for employees and patrons. read more

My 3 littles 7,4,1 love this place. Any chance I give them to decide where to go, their immediate response is "LAVA LAND LAVA LAND LAVA LAND". Close enough. They have everything you need: Dino nuggets, Starbucks coffee, trampolines, ball pits, tricycles, ice cream, stuff to climb on, stuff to fall off of, everything. If you come during the day M-F, they don't even kick you out after your alotted one hour allowance. A+ read more

Huge, fun place for all ages! My toddler had a blast. We paid $16 dollars on the weekend for her to play 4 hours! They also sell food and drinks. It is very clean, the staff is always cleaning and they are very nice. There's Several family bathrooms. Overall a great place! read more

I don't know why I have never heard of this place. First of all it's huge! They have something for every age, small slides and a soft play area for toddlers aged 1-4 then the larger slides and ball pits, bikes for older kids. They also have a rock climbing and trampoline area as well. Starbucks is served as well as fries, nuggets and your typical concession stand food. My daughter had a blast, the only thing I would say needs improvement is they need to have some of the staff walk around every once in a while and wipe down tables and wipe the floors cause they get dirty quick with kids and allowing the strollers in the same area. read more

Careful... if you are looking for a location cheaper than urban air or another jump park-- it isn't. They charge anyone who enters even if you aren't jumping. And the $10 pass is only for an hours. Staff don't wear masks as advertised and it is not very clean either. Next time we'll spend the extra couple of bucks and go to Urban Air. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I spend a ton of money at this place. I left my water bottle on a Thursday. Called Friday to see if they had it which they did. I said I would come claim it Saturday, but unfortunately my kid got injured, but I obviously would come another day. Tuesday I come by to pick it up and they said they threw it out! They had 3 plus bins filled with lost and found that I'm sure no one has ever called about , but they decided to throw out THE ONE THING SOMEONE CALLED AND CLAIMED. Super fun! We took our niece and nephew for the first time and they had a blast. The space is huge with one side devoted to slides, maze like tunnels, and bikes. Then the other side is the trampoline park and wall climbing. Unfortunately the wall climbing was closed but I think that's more bigger kids. At 9am on a random weekday it wasn't crowded at all and it felt like the kids had the place to themselves. There were hand sanitizing stations all over. My only complaint was the big volcano...that thing stunk like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. I know ball pit type of attractions are germ beds to start with but yuck. I jumped in once very quickly to please the niece. On another note - the food area had typical pizza, snacks, and such which all looked good...and Starbucks for the grown ups! So glad we found this place especially since the kids had never been before and they had hours of fun. read more

We recently held a birthday here for my 6 year old daughter. Price for the party was $300 which included 1 activity pass for 11 kids, grip socks,two pizzas, 4 pitches, 11cupcakes & 45 minutes in the princess room and of course they clean up! Pros- We were able to do 2 activities since we had 6 kids the extra passes were changeable. We used the trampolines for an hour and then the indoor playground for an hour. The kids LOVED it! All obstacles were very safe and all her friends got to play, definitely great for a 6+ y.o. Food was great! And the room was adorable. The facility itself was organized and I like how guests could drop their presents off when they walk in on a cart labeled with birthday kids name. Cons- NO A/C!!! Ok guys it's summer time and kids are jumping or running and playing. They are going full speed and there was not a fan in site. I was getting hot and muggy just standing around. They should definitely invest in some portable ac units or something. Or even drinking fountains...There was water in overpriced soda machines $3 each?! Our party room also lacked AC until the very last 15 minutes in the room. Another thing I will mention I bought really pretty expensive balloons for my daughter and forgot to grab them when we went to play, the staff had thrown away my balloons when I went back an hour later for them =/ Overall - Even though the facility is great and I would go back to play, I would not have another birthday here. Lava Island itself was a blast! The kids had so much fun and it was a great way to spend the afternoon. Until the VERY end when I bought ice cream bars for all the kids for the ride home and my 4 year old son got ran into from some big kid and his ice cream went flying. I went to ask the lady at the counter for a new one since I had just bought the first one 2 minutes prior and spent $16 dollars on overpriced ice cream bars. She "just couldn't do anything to help me" I felt like that was really poor customer service after my friend and I had spent over $120 for a couple hours of fun for the kids today. Wow! I wondered why we hadn't heard of this place and I will say it's likely because it's not anywhere near our hood. It is GORGEOUS and CLEAN inside, plenty of fun for all ages. Not a ton of places for adults to sit and watch (at least not in the trampoline portion of the park) but there is a viewing area and cafe area for seating. Staff was super friendly, they have the place running flawlessly. Parking can be a bit tricky, but it's not a deal breaker by any means. read more

Took my son and Godson to play at Lava Island for a birthday celebration, they had a great time. Might I just say, they are 14 and 15, so that's a testament to how fun this place was. I'd recommend it for kids of all ages, even those risk-taking parents too. We enjoyed jumping and rock climbing on our visit. Admittedly also enjoyed some of their in-house food items too. My favorite - the funnel cake fries with housemade raspberry sauce. On a side note, the staff were very attentive. Tyler at the check-in counter was the most accommodating young adult I've had the pleasure of encountering more recently. Drove 45 mins to come to Lava Island with my 15 month old who can only play in the baby area due to size and they were cleaning it literally until 11am and they open at 9am! We were there at 9am paid the entry fee and never got to play in the baby area! What a waste of my time and money! Shouldn't they complete the cleaning before they let customers in! My kids love this place. So this review is strictly about management and price. The main manager/owner needs a little education about customer interactions. My daughter has been begging to rock climb and EVERY SINGLE TIME, there's never staff to accommodate that area. When we asked to speak to a manager, he told one of his staff members, who btw are great, helpful, courteous, hard working, that he was too busy to talk to us. Well he was standing on the other side of the cafe drinking water and shooting the $hit. When we finally asked if we could rock climb he made no effort to accommodate us. His amazing staff member, watching the whole interaction, let my kids play in the trampoline park for free. She even gave us extra time. When it comes to the price of food their cafe is EXPENSIVE and their pizza is not that good. Their bday parties accommodate a small amount of friends and you pay a lot more for extra kids above that amount. It also sucks you can't bring in your own cake...at least let the hosts bring in cake. *sidenote they have 2 water coolers for kids, but they make a huge mess of the floor, so your kids can get wet bring extra pairs. This is inconvenient for the mess, we've also witnessed kids having water fights. Management no where to be seen* read more

We went mid week and the place was packed with no enforcement of mask wearing for adults and very few safety protocols in place, which is why you sign the waiver I guess. A bigger kid almost jumped on top of my six year old grandchild in the trampoline area. There are way too few(and too young) employees to enforce anything. Many parents looking at their phones letting kids run helter skelter everywhere. Also, charging for adults..not cool. Used to be $15 for 4 hours and no charge for adults. We loved our little guys party here. He turned 4 and we had the private builder room. He and all his friends had so much fun they didn't want to leave. We were also in the playground area. The party coordinator was on top of everything. Whenever I called or emailed she was very responsive and very accommodating. We were able to have playground time play at the beginning of the party then do the private room celebration and then back to the playground area for the remainder of our party. Usually it's just one right after the other. And then we had a kid who made sure everything went well and brought all our food and drink in. I highly recommend Lava Island. The only thing I wasn't a fan of is not letting us have the pitchers of water we had in the room for the kiddos while they played. I think they should let you take the water down to the table by the playground. That was it. read more

We were greeted with friendly staff upon entrance. This dynamic play area is a great way to spend family fun for all ages especially with rainy weather. I am from out of state and my relative took us, my son (6 yrs) and her daughter (13 yrs) for a few hrs & they had a blast. Cost is actually reasonable, pls check website for updated info ($15 per child per hr). There are 3 play areas: Jump (trampolines), Play (multiplay for younger kids), Climb (rope clip and climb?). You have to pick which play area and the Jump or Climb are 1 hr long, the Play is 1 hr but they give you 3 hrs bonus play. Make sure all parties wear socks. There are cubbies for shoes outside entrance/lobby area and plenty in the play area. There is a food court and tables/chairs for parents/adults. Play area has things to climb, slide, race, nerf style ball shooting, mini trampoline and a race track area with 4 tricycles. Have kids under 4? No worries theres also a toddler section only. Parents can travel between areas to check on kids. I didn't give full 5 stars because of minor things. The free wi fi didnt connect and when I tried to use my own wifi/data plan, coverage was very spotty. I had to walk around and be closer to entrance to do my on line flight check in. Outside food and drink not allowed, but there is free water near food area. I have special needs kid so I need to bring special food for him. We didnt get to try the food but maybe next time. There wasnt really any supervision in the play area. Reason it was concern I heard a loud "thud" and 2 kids who went down a short hard slide and hurt themselves (minor but painful enough to have them cry, 2 in row, see pic below on which slide). Its nearest to the volcano climb. 2nd, the multiple side by side slide, kids were climbing up on them while other kids were sliding down. Nothing happened but could have been bad if the kids collided. I know there are waivers that are signed to say say parents are to supervise and watch kids but majority of parents/adults didnt. Plus its hard to go watch them if the kids are running around having a good time. Perhaps just have someone do a quick walk through every couple of hrs? Overall, this place is a great attraction for families and looks like a good place to host parties. read more

This place is awesome! The climbing walls are a ton of fun and some are extremely challenging for novice climbers. The jumping area rivals the best trampoline parks in Denver. And the jungle gym area was huge! I foresee a lot of birthday adventures in the coming years at Lava Land. read more

Just left this place. We are the grandparents of a 1 and 3 year old. Played for an hour and as our time came to an end the 3 year old ran away from us. Within seconds we couldn't see him any more. I immediately ran towards door but didn't see him. We started to yell for him but couldn't find him. After several minutes we began to freak out. Went to front desk to see if they could help. My husband was scared and came off as aggressive...but we were missing a child. He walked away still yelling the child's name. The employees didn't realize I was with him. The manager turned to his employee and said, "If he was nicer I would help find him". Not one employee moved to help. I couldn't believe he said this. I approached him and said we are in a state of panic and it is his job to help. Still did move. Many parents realized the panic and jumped up to help. They were amazing!!!! Still no response from manager or employees. Except to say they were watching the front door and no child left within the last few minutes. Three children and an adult walked out in front of me when I walked out to make sure. They didn't even notice me walk out barefoot and carrying a one year old without a coat or shoes on a snowy Colorado day. . After 10 minutes the manager offered to call him over the PA system. What three year old would respond to a scratchy message saying, "Child's name please come to front desk". Finally employees began to help. The child was found after about 15 minutes. One employee approached me and said, "Told you we would find him". A parent leaned over and said he wasn't the one to find him. As we walked out the manager came out of his hiding place behind the concession stand and just walked by without saying one word. I am truly thankful to every parent who stepped up to help us. Especially the woman who sat with me as tears of relief rolled down my face. The owner of this establishment should have a chat with his employees. read more

I've been here a few times now and had my son's birthday party here. Not a single complaint every time. The kids that work there have been super friendly, the place is clean, the food is served quickly and they were willing to help each time I needed it. I come when the place first opens as I personally like to avoid crowds as much as possible. By the time we are done (generally 4 hours later), the crowds start pouring in. They were super helpful and informative with my son's party. The kids had such a great time, they didn't even want the cupcakes! I would recommend giving this place a try. I would also recommend going early to avoid the 30 thousand ants that will come marching in after lunchtime! Bring grip socks for the trampoline side and remember to flip them on the play side. Otherwise you kids will tumble down the slides. If you forget, they sell them for $3 each. If you book a party with trampoline, socks are included. Have fun!!! read more

Today I had my daughter's 6th birthday party at Lava Island. Everyone had a blast! I love that the playground package includes 2 hours of play plus 45 minutes in the party room or mezzanine (upstairs). The whole booking and party process went smoothly despite how extremely busy this place is. My only complaints are that it gets super stuffy inside with all the bodies, especially upstairs, and also there aren't any water fountains (that I saw) besides for the one by the bathrooms by the climbing area. I hope there will be more locations coming to the Denver area at some point. Another thing I hope to see is some discounts for admission. read more

By far the best indoor activity/ entertainment center for children of all ages. Believe me, as a mom with multiple children I've been to numerous "kids" indoor places and Lava Island blows all those places out of the water! There are so many different areas for all age levels to play at. Super clean, you can order food (menu was comparable to a sit down restaurant even), one amount to pay (not like other places I've been to where you pay by half hour, hour or so), and the staff was (especially Jacob), was beyond friendly! I highly, highly recommend this place! We will be going back many times in the near future! read more
