When placing my order, the staff asked how much boba I would like while stating there were different amounts of boba offered as evidence by the 7 tier markings on the sample cup. I didn't realize that by following these directions, there would be an extra cost in addition to the drink price. I wish this had been communicated beforehand and think that transparency would contribute to stronger customer service relations. The drink had a sweet flavor and was light. I enjoyed the mango and it tasted similar to a juice. I thought the boba was dry. If I order a drink again, I would forego the boba toppings. Three stars because the drink flavor & the environment gave strong first impressions. I admit that not having been here before contributed to a lack of familiarity of the menu though I can't ignore the price paid for the taste of the boba. What stood out was not the wait itself but the absence of basic customer service throughout. No greeting when I walked in, no one checking on me while I waited, no apology once the situation was sorted, and no thank you when I received my order. I reached out about this experience on June 8th and have yet to hear anything back, not even a simple apology. That silence is just as disappointing as the visit itself. I share this hoping it can serve as a coaching opportunity. Greetings, attentiveness, and simple acknowledgments go a long way, and small interactions can make a significant difference in how a guest feels walking out the door.
