Very disappointed with Lavender Falls permanent eyeliner procedure. Prior to my appointment I was told there would be a consultation to review previous photos & color choices. Jasmyn the aesthetician said there are no photos & she suggested black liner "because it makes everyone's eyes pop". My instinct told me to leave immediately. I didn't because a $50. fee would have been charged to my credit card. When my session ended I was disappointed & let down by the results. The liner was not symmetrical or finished. It looked terrible. The aesthetician said it will look much better after the second procedure. Two weeks after the procedure most of the color has disappeared. I paid $400 plus tax, plus a 5% spa fee for a total of $432. The fill in would cost another $200. I scheduled an appointment with another spa who agreed to fix what Lavender Falls did at a fraction of the cost & the touch up will be free. Lavender Falls is an epic FAIL, lesson learned. read more

Terrible Experience with Microblading at Lavender Falls Spa I had an extremely disappointing experience with Lavender Falls Spa regarding my microblading procedure. Despite my strict adherence to their brow aftercare instructions, none of the ink took as it was supposed to. When I returned for the touch-up appointment, they took no responsibility for the horrible results I had. Instead, they claimed that the ink color they chose was too light and still charged me $365 for the initial session. They then wanted to charge an additional $175 to redo the process again, with no guarantee that the ink would take even with a darker shade. They refused to refund my money and allowed me to leave their establishment upset without offering any resolution, it was very obvious that they didn't care. Lavender Falls Spa essentially stole $365 for the initial procedure and the $40 tip I left for Misty, the technician who performed the microblading. The customer service and professionalism were absolutely horrible. I later went to another spa where the microblading was done perfectly, and there were NO issues with the ink not taking. This spa said they have corrected brows for at least 8-9 customers of Lavender Falls Spa. Please read this review and think twice before choosing Lavender Falls Spa. You may end up with a terrible experience and a significant loss of money that they will not refund. read more

I went to lavender Falls this past weekend for a bachelorette trip with some friends. I got the facial and massage special for $149. My friends got facials only with an extraction. All in all I think it was a great value. Next time when I go, I will get a full facial with the extraction because I feel that will clean my face a little bit better than just a massage on my face which was pretty much what my facial was. The massage was great. It was 60 minutes and it flew by. I had never gotten a full body massage before and I feel like she did a good job. The owner answered my call to reschedule my appointment for that day because I was both sick with a fever and cough and learned I was exposed to Covid. She changed my appointment for a 2-3 week eyelash fill from the 2 week mark to the following week. She did not mention to me that she was adding a 'no-show' charge to my account. Warning!! Awful customer service, hidden fees, blind tattoo artist, and once you pay they won't care what your concerns are!!! We should have known that this would be an awful experience from the start. As I was booking the appointment, I was told that the eyebrows would cost $475, but online the price was at $429. Dana rudely informed me that it was the wrong price listed. I replied that it wasn't my fault they listed the wrong price, and she agreed to honor the price listed online. So I went with my mother in law to get her eyebrow and eyeliner tattooed, we were told the session would take 2-4 hours, but the session took over 7 hours. During the session the artist, Misty, admitted to not having good eyesight anymore, which is probably the reason why her eyebrows came out uneven and the eyeliner isn't visible. Note she was charged extra for thick eyeliner, even though she was unaware that the eyeliner requested was considered thick. Then she was also charged a COVID 19 tax, which was also not mentioned before. A week later, She asked me to call Lavender Falls to see if Misty would take a look at the eyeliner since it was already clear that the "thick eyeliner" was fading to nothing. I was able to speak to the owner Dana who informed me that since the recommended healing time is 3/4 weeks that I should call back then. And quote " it is normal for the ink to go under the surface of the skin and rise back after it's healed. I have never heard of such a thing but We waited. So after 4 weeks I called back and was greeted with the most awful customer service I have ever encountered. I couldn't get a word in without Dana yelling over me. And all I had simply asked was if they could take a look because for $400, there wasn't even visible eyeliner. Dana said they wouldn't take a look at my mother in law since we apparently wanted free services, but in no way did we want something for free. After a very short and unpleasant conversation, if you can call it that, Dana hung up. I'm not sure why she was so angry, my mother-in-law needed the eyebrow touch up since they were uneven which we were willing to pay for. But the eyeliner wasn't visible in any kind of way. She just wanted the work she paid for to be completed. We will be finding someone else to fix the permanent damage done on my mother in laws face not only because of the unprofessionalism of the owner and unexpected fees but also since the blind tattoo artist can no longer do her job accurately. Also we were sold an eye cream that is suppose to work wonders as Misty said it should lighten dark under eyes and tighten up eye wrinkles in a week. But that was also false. I got my first set of Nova Lashes done on August 30th. Although, I will admit my first impressions were not great. No one was at the front desk when I walked in and I did wait about 5 min before someone asked if I'd been helped. I said not yet, then she said I'll get someone to help you. I waited another few minutes before a girl walked up front and seemed surprised to see me. Anyway I was handed a tablet to fill out intake forms and was told the lash specialist would come get me. At this point you may be wondering why I gave it a 5 star review. One word: JAZMYN. She was wonderful. She is so sweet and easy to talk to. I showed her pictures of what I wanted. We decided to do a medium length lash (10 or 12?). I wanted them to look as natural as possible so she only did 75% of my lashes. I looked in the mirror and they were perfect. I booked an appointment with 3 weeks out with the possibility of maybe changing my appointment to an earlier date in case more lashes fell out than expected. They held firmly for 3 weeks. I had them filled on September 19th with Jazmyn. This time I threw caution to the wind and I asked for the candied lashes in Pink Lemonade. I am absolutely in love with them. My next appointment is October 10th. Jazmyn is pregnant and due on Halloween. But as soon as she returns she will be my go to person. I will post a pic next time. To the owner: Please, please! I would like to say Emily gave me an amazing deep tissue massage she was the one who greeted me when I walked in and helped with the take in process. Jhazmyn was also wonderful and gave me a great hydration facial and walked me through all my skin issues and what I could do to continue keeping my skin up and i left feeling wonderful from head to toe. I think these two staff members are wonderful and I would come back for them. the problem I had is when I walked in I believe it was the owner and another front desk lady sitting at the desk with no masks on. Either one wasn't wearing one or it was pulled down when I arrived and left. Emily checked me in and Jhazmyn checked me out. while the two front ladies talked to other guests and didn't wear their masks or talked to each other they ignored me on both times i was at the desk you would think the owner would be more welcoming. there is a sign on the door saying masks are mandated as they are everywhere. In the common area of this salon you have to wear a mask so my question is why is the owner allowed to not wear one. what example is she showing for her guests? It didn't seem like a professional environment. I've been to salons where they are more professional. I bought a spray tan package with them and wasn't informed of the expiration date. During one of the calls I made to lavender falls, they said that the rest of the spray tans that I purchased were likely donated last winter (around six months after I purchased their spray tan package.) I'm more than happy to have donated my tans to some charitable endeavor, but it would have been nice if they gave me that option. They are terrible at answering their phones, returning phone calls, and following up on their phone calls when customers have questions. The one star I'm leaving is for the specialist who helped me with the one very expensive spray tan I had the chance to have with this company. I don't recall her name, but she was great. Of course, I won't be a repeat customer to the lavender falls spa. Review update: I highly doubt this spa is organized enough to manage donating a spray tan package to the boys and girls club. They couldn't even manage returning a customer phone call to confirm the end result of the package. Worst business reply to a valid customer complaint. If only I still had the photos of the horror that took place in this establishment. I booked my appt for a micro blading brows here and it was the worst mistake of my life. The older lady who apparently runs the establishment took me to the back and proceeded to do my brows. While I was being numbed she continued to talk about another client which was totally unprofessional seeming she wasn't exactly speaking anything nice. As she proceeded to do my brows she offered to do Ombré brows for free since I was so nice and I was all for it because hey who wouldn't. I thought I was in the hands of a professional. I was wrong. After she got done with the first "layer" which was the brow strokes she showed me and it was ok and I told her I didn't really like them and it wasn't what I was looking for and nothing like the image I showed her mind you she had a blank slate. She told me she knew she was doing and to trust her so I kept my mouth shut seeming I didn't want to leave there with half of my brows done.... It gets worse. After she finishes the "ombré effect" she hands me the mirror and says she is done. I told her there was no way that this is how I'm supposed to leave here like this. She told me to trust the process and it was normal. No no it wasn't. She literally needles in two dark black blocks as my brows. It wasn't ombré and you definitely did not see any strokes. I cried and Al's not begged her to fix it and that there was no way I was leaving like this. She yelled at me and told me she was the professional and knew what she was doing and that I was going to love them when they healed. So I left covering my brows as much as I could. I contacted a friend and sent photos of the brows she left me in and she asked me if I was messing around or joking with her. Unfortunately I was not. Not only were they uneven I now had permanent blocks as brows and had to wait several weeks to heal to put make up on them. I tried to contact the owner and each time it was her who would reach back to me and found no resolution. I highly recommend you look elsewhere if considering permanent make up. You may think your getting the work but in reality you are not. I was so bummed that I just spent $500 on brows that looked 100x worse from when I walked in. I should have read more into the reviews before going in and it turned out I wasn't her first victim. Oh and one more thing, after the brows healed and they were supposed to be just fine I was told to go in for a touch up. Absolutely not. I had to go to someone else and pay double to have fixed what this person totally messed up. Oh and since they will probably respond to this as if I did something wrong, I didn't. I literally went in to another professional that very next day who specializes in Microblading and Nano brows and was told by several techs it looks like a preschooler did my brows with permanent marker. We all know going into this there is healing phase but that comes shortly after. When I left the establishment I had two dark black Chola brows in the shape of squares this is not a joke. I arrived early so I was parked in the parking lot waiting to go in when a old lady parked next to me and I felt a bump on my car ( she obviously hit my door) because when I looked to my right she gave me a look like "oops" I proceeded to get off and go to that side of my vehicle and I was waiting for her to apologize and make sure she didn't cause any damage or at the very least act like she cared, nope..she decided to not even acknowledge me and go about her business and walk away until I made a comment to her asking if she hit my vehicle and of course was completely rude and nasty not admitting it and being classless to say the least, giving me ugly faces and throwing her hands in the air to " call the police" she didn't care. I'd been thinking about microblading for a while, so I decided to just bite the bullet a couple of months ago and got my eyebrows microbladed. Here's what to expect: Before the microblading I was asked for input on style and I picked a color. Misty said it was probably going to be too light as it fades. However, I insisted. Next, I was measured and the brows were drawn on. I approved and was numbed. All of that took about 35 minutes. The process itself took about an hour and a half. I would have fallen asleep, but the sound was like a scraping noise, and that kept me awake. I didn't feel any real pain, a little discomfort toward the end maybe..that was all. Right after the microblading....too dark...too big...too much...too little.. too everything--hold on! Misty...thank you..."you were amazing." Misty kept me calm until my touch-up. As it turned out...I actually did need a little darker color, a couple of tweeks on one side...some shading on the other and now my brows are FABULOUS. It was definately a two step process for me, the initial application and the 3 week touch-up. IMO the touch up is a must. This is when the brows are refined and any corrections are made. This is one of the best things I've ever done for myself (besides my lashes). It's made my life easy-breezy. The technician couldn't have been more accomodating or professional. read more

Run away! Run far far away! Worst and most painful experience i have ever had. I have had eyelash extensions many many times and i know what to expect, so i know when an eyelash extension experience is a good one or a bad one. First off, i scheduled a 2 week in fill but was charged for a correction, $125, wayyy overpriced and unfair because i already had alot of fullness in my lashes. When i met with the tech i told her i wanted to keep a natural lash similar to what i already had but she still proceeded to use the thicker unnatural volume lashes against my request, letting my know that after she had already begun the procedure. After placing the adhesive strips under my eyes to hold down my bottom lashes i told her my eye was burning, she adjusted the strip and continued, and didnt seem concerned at all. I usually fall asleep during this process but she was rough and my eye was burning so badly i couldnt relax. I felt her plucking an eyelash or two which ive never had done that was painful, she accidentally poked me with the tweezers multiple times and apologized. Again i let her know in the middle of the process that my eye was still burning really badly but she didnt seem concerned or follow up. I dont know if she just wanted to get it done because the shop was closed and i was the last client of the nite but she should have stopped the process until my eye felt better. I trusted her and allowed her to continue because shes supposed to be the professional, i figured maybe the burning would go away soon enough but it never did. I told her again at the end that my eyes were burning really badly and asked if they were really red, she said no and then led me to checkout and pay, again zero concern. I got home and took a closer look at my eyes and realized i had chemical burns on my eyeball. I knew it was chemical burns from the adhesive and not an allergic reaction because it was predominantly on one eyeball. I called the manager the next day and all she cared about was ensuring that i didnt get a refund, because they dont do refunds. She offered to remove them for free but why would i drive over an hour back and forth and trust them again to go anywhere near my face. I wanted a refund so i could go to another spa and have them removed and i was considering going to hospital because the pain was so bad. She insinuated that i was just trying to con them for my money back and she just never had anyone experience that so i must be making it up. Yet, i found similar reviews on the yelp site! She had zero customer service skills or concern for my eye or rectifying my horrible experience and we got into a pretty heated debate on the phone until i realized this woman did not care about anythin but makin sure i didnt get a refund and that she covered their asses. I went to another aesthetician and she told me they were cheap brand of eyelashes and it was probably low quality adhesives with harsh chemicals that burned my eye. Its important that your tech place those pads far enough from your eyeballs and that they ensure your eyes are closed for the application or the fumes will burn your eyeball. I have learned how complex this procedure is and how careful you should be when selecting the business and tech you allow to do this. You only have one set of eyeballs. This business needs to train its techs to better deal with customers complaining of burning, pad application, and adhering to the type of look a customer wants and the manager needs to learn a thing or two about treating her customers with dignity and respect, she made me feel like a liar and a victim, when i was being completely truthful and trying to give them a second chance to rectify the situation before leaving this review. I went today to get a hydra facial. I wasn't quiet sure what to expect b/c right before I went there I saw all these bad reviews. My experience was fantastic! I was immediately greeted when I entered, the lady was very sweet and attentive, I was offered snacks wine and water. I got Carly and while she's nice - I am not happy with the work at all. First they took me to a room that had a giant window (that's connected to a hallway) so just anyone walking by could (seemingly) look in - which gives me anxiety because I'm a private person. Then at both of my appointments they left the door open so people just walk by and look in at you and you can hear everyone's conversations. Then they talk to you about color choice but she had had to leave the room a million times because the room didn't have what she needed. Then she numbed me with a gel that just isn't strong enough...I'd rather get a numbing shot than that useless gel they use. Then she spent so long trying to measure out and draw my eyebrows. The first time she handed me a mirror and asked me what I thought I looked at my eyebrows then at her like "you're joking, right?" Finally we agree and she starts working. You hear/feel a scraping when the gel is working and when it's not (and trust me- the gel WILL wear off) you feel a blade dragging across your eyebrows....fun! I went in with pretty full eyebrows they just had a few bald spots on the top of the arches and I'm missing hair at the front of my eyebrow so I wanted them just to fill in and draw some hairs at the front... ugh They are splotchy and grey -maybe they didn't use a dark enough color? I did as best I could to follow instructions for the healing process. Carly even complimented me on following instructions when I came back for my touch up appointment. The second time she told me they recommend not getting them wet for 2 weeks! Excuse me but that's impossible. I'm not going to not wash my face for two weeks, also I have a job that I have to wear makeup for so wth? Long story short...go somewhere else. Or maybe do what I'm thinking about and get that microblade makeup pen that I've been seeing on YouTube. Good luck read more

I never leave feedback on places and I am very accommodating when it comes to customer service because I was in customer service for a long time. This company has no disregard for the fact that there is a pandemic going on. I tried to plea with them that yes my facial and massage expired 5/2020 but I have been quarantining as guided by our gov't. I have been working from home since the pandemic started and am still scared to get a massage but did not want to waste the gift certificate. They didn't care. What poor understanding and customer service to not realize people are just starting to get back to normal routines. read more

Great spa but obvious issues with staff! My first experience was scary as an older lady in black scrubs was screaming at the top of her lungs about how she was in charge, nearly bringing a young employee to tears. Not sure why that behavior is necessary or tolerated, I go to the spa to relax and escape my kids screaming, the yelling and cursing was not my idea of relaxation. There are to many spas in San Antonio to deal with such things. read more

I had an amazing experience at this spa. First, the front office staff was very helpful when I scheduled my appointment. Liz gave me a relaxing 1.5 hr Swedish massage and Misty gave me an incredible microdermabrasion facial. Both ladies were detailed oriented, friendly, and quiet. Which helped me to relax. The place is also very clean with a nice simple spa decor. I'm glad I found this place and will come back whenever I'm in town. read more

This is only of the best places in San Antonio there is. The staff is very professional and helpful. The prices and specials are great and some of the best in town. The staff is very knowledgeable in the products that are used and trained in their proper application. I highly recommend this place as a way to get away and relax or as a gift to someone special.
